Im 4 weeks post baby and so excited to show you all what i've been doing to repair my ab separation and get my core strong again! Would you like more videos like this?
This is awesome Carly. I have been following you on IG too and it's so lovely to see your journey. Would love more videos like this. I am 3 pp...I hope this can help me. X
Can I be honest? I thought this video wouldn’t work. After my third baby, I noticed my stomach wouldn’t go down no matter what I did. Turns out, I had diastasis recti and the exercises I was doing was making it worse. Of all the videos I watched, I liked this one best, but still didn’t think it would work because it’s so simple, but I did it anyway. One month later, the separation is almost gone!!! Amazing!! Thank you!
This is encoiraging, 9 months post baby and working out but I have this big belly that I would love to get rid of. after reading this I will definately try this, How many times a week would you reccomend one to do because I am thinking of doing this everyday that's how despetate I am at this point.
I've done this a few times, but today was the first day I made it all the way through! 9 months post partum with twins. Hoping to eliminate Lower back pain and manage my diastasis recti. Thanks, Carly. Love how well you explain every move
Omg this video is a lifesaver!!!! This is day 3 of me doing this workout and my tummy has flattened tremendously!!!! I repeat this video twice in the morning and twice before I go to bed. I have been struggling with getting rid of my pregnancy belly forever. My 2 babies are 3 and almost 6 years old. I've always worked out with cardio and ab exercises. I would lose the weight everywhere else except the belly which was frustrating and discouraging especially with wearing certain clothing. I thought it would just be like this forever, but now I know there is hope and possible to return to my post pregnancy flat tummy. I still do my other cardio, but no longer do things that can make the DR worse. I will continue this even after my DR is healed and will slowly work in other ab exercises. I wish there was a way to get rid of the loose skin, but I can accept that it most likely will not disappear.....unless you have a suggestion for that too 😉. All I can say is thank you so much for sharing and helping women feel comfortable and confident in their bodies again! 🥰
So glad I've found this again, a mum friend recommended it to me after I had my fourth child but I never did it! Physio has helped a little bit but I'm looking forward to trying these exercises! (I also realised that I think you might have taken over from me at BMW when I lived in Norwich!!)
I delivered my daughter via c section 2 years ago and have been searching for a workout that will melt this pooch for the longest and came across this on Pinterest! I will give this a try. Thank you!
I love this video! I know this is aimed at women postpartum but as someone with chronic pelvic pain due to endometriosis I think this will be really helpful. I struggle so much with abdominal movements but I think focusing on gentle movements and breathing could help me build some core strength without causing pain. Thanks for being so open and sharing Carly, love all your content! ❤️
Thanks for this Carly 6 weeks postpartum after 2nd baby - lovely feeling after this workout and perfect length time to fit into a round clock day of feeding
@@realmamamo These excercises helped activate the lower abdominal muscles , usually with DR it's hard to get them involved when working your core because they are weak but the more you work them and activate them the better they get to closing the gap
Aw I’m so glad you’ve done a video like this - I asked you about this roughly 4 years ago as I suffered with it then after my first baby. Mine has healed perfectly and after my second baby the seperation wasn’t as bad as with my first! Congratulations on baby Jax she’s beautiful 😍
Love you Carly. I thought I was well informed about pregnancy and the female body, but I learn new things every time I watch your videos! Thank you so much for your wonderful content. X
UPDATE DATE: After 3 mos of working out with this video, my distasis recti is gone! I started with a space 3 fingers apart. Now I can feel both sides of my muscles with one finger and there’s no doming! This video works! Thank you!
this goes straight to my youtube workouts playlist - thanks a lot (I wasn't pregnant, "just" doing it for a strong core to support my 🏃♀️) - when I can't join my CX class in the gym I will give this one a go.
How big was your diastatis gap? I've heard that lifting your neck the way you do isn't a good idea for fixing your diastatis. Did you start with milder exercises? Are those exercises effective for anyone with weaker core as well? Thanks
I love how you're are brief and to the point with your introduction and get straight to how to resolve this issue. 👏 How often do you recommend doing this routine?
I will try this ! But one question i heard it shouldn't be good to lift your head/shoulders when you have rectus diastasis is this truth ?so many people in germany say that
Absolutely loved this video so much and have tried the workout and it was great thank u ! You are an absolute inspiration and baby Jax is gorgeous, lots of love xx
Hi Carly, do you have a video to follow this one that is for core a little more after postpartum? After you have done this one for a awhile. I love this workout and it has definitely helped with my DR. Thx!
You're so lovely. Congrats on you're new arrival and well done for being so real. Am I right in thinking these could help my hubby?.. he has a torn rectus abdominus and is self conscious as over all he's in good shape but is scared of ab exercises and is gradually expanding around the waistline.
Thank you because I need to start tightening my core and this seems a great place to start as I'm weak in that area. Are those OK if my pelvic floor is weak? I've read crunches can exacerbate the problem; what do you think?
Thanks for this Carly, I will be incorporating along with exercises I have from my physio to correct DR. Small side note; i don’t have coming but I do have diastisis recti, started at 3cm and now at 2cm so only 1 more can to go 😊
I want to work out...But my belly goes into a hill shape whenever I start. I checked, my back is on the floor but my belly is still coning to a hill. I am afraid as I worked out normally, especially with crunches, for over three months and I think I made it worse.
I normally don't reply or leave comments, but seeing that you are in need of answers and no one replied, I felt like I had to. You DEFINITELY want to omit doing any sort of crunching workouts/motions. Your organs move too when you make that motion. And with an ab gap already present, your organs peek through (that's why you see the coning hill) and make your ab gap even worse! It's natural to think that you want to strengthen your abs to make your abs come together again, but not in this case. Yes you DO want to strengthen your core, but you need to do it in a different approach that will be safe with diastasis recti. You need to take it nice and easy and search for more Diastasis recti safe videos. There are a lot of great videos out there. Hope this little bit of information helped! All the best!
I gave birth to my 2nd daughter 1.5yrs back and i have disastic rectia and lower back pain. Will this 10mins routine workout benefit me also??? Also please suggest what else i should do.
