    Can I be honest? I thought this video wouldn’t work. After my third baby, I noticed my stomach wouldn’t go down no matter what I did. Turns out, I had diastasis recti and the exercises I was doing was making it worse. Of all the videos I watched, I liked this one best, but still didn’t think it would work because it’s so simple, but I did it anyway. One month later, the separation is almost gone!!! Amazing!! Thank you!

    Omg this video is a lifesaver!!!! This is day 3 of me doing this workout and my tummy has flattened tremendously!!!! I repeat this video twice in the morning and twice before I go to bed. I have been struggling with getting rid of my pregnancy belly forever. My 2 babies are 3 and almost 6 years old. I've always worked out with cardio and ab exercises. I would lose the weight everywhere else except the belly which was frustrating and discouraging especially with wearing certain clothing. I thought it would just be like this forever, but now I know there is hope and possible to return to my post pregnancy flat tummy. I still do my other cardio, but no longer do things that can make the DR worse. I will continue this even after my DR is healed and will slowly work in other ab exercises. I wish there was a way to get rid of the loose skin, but I can accept that it most likely will not disappear.....unless you have a suggestion for that too 😉. All I can say is thank you so much for sharing and helping women feel comfortable and confident in their bodies again! 🥰

    I want to work out...But my belly goes into a hill shape whenever I start. I checked, my back is on the floor but my belly is still coning to a hill. I am afraid as I worked out normally, especially with crunches, for over three months and I think I made it worse.

    • @helenscharton9569
      @helenscharton9569 5 лет назад +4

      I normally don't reply or leave comments, but seeing that you are in need of answers and no one replied, I felt like I had to.
      You DEFINITELY want to omit doing any sort of crunching workouts/motions. Your organs move too when you make that motion. And with an ab gap already present, your organs peek through (that's why you see the coning hill) and make your ab gap even worse! It's natural to think that you want to strengthen your abs to make your abs come together again, but not in this case. Yes you DO want to strengthen your core, but you need to do it in a different approach that will be safe with diastasis recti. You need to take it nice and easy and search for more Diastasis recti safe videos. There are a lot of great videos out there. Hope this little bit of information helped! All the best!

    You say to make sure there's no coning during these exercises, but with diastasis recti that's what happens! I can't just suck the bulge in so I don't understand how to follow these exercises which are supposed to help diastasis recti.. (I also don't have a severe case of it, separation of approx 1.5-2 fingers)

      It's not a good idea to do the exercises which causes your tummy to bulge or cone. Do ones which don't do this and push your tummy in at all times. If you find this hard, then look for other DR safe ab exercises for beginners on you tube. There are loads as these may be too advanced for you and you need to slowly work on them to push your tummy in easy

    Thank you for this video Carly. I gave birth in August and had a traumatic delivery which left with a bladder prolapse 😔 I also have D.R and am wondering if this workout is safe with the prolapse? X

    Are pushups ok When you have diaisrecti?

    • @hazelrymell4408
      @hazelrymell4408 4 года назад

      Press ups against a wall is ok, not push ups on the floor. It will make it worse

    Sorry but lifting your head makes a lot of pressure on your abdomen and I have been told by a physiotherapist that you don't suppose to do that when your suffer from diastasis recti, you will make it worse if you do it like that

    • @hazelrymell4408
      @hazelrymell4408 4 года назад

      You are right. Do not do anything that makes your belly cone or bulge as it will make your DR worse

    I had my daughter a year ago and struggle like crazy with ab workouts. I thought i might have Diastasis recti but figured i could just do normal workouts and that it would help.
    Yeah...no. I'll have a 6 pack one day and then the next I'll look pregnant again. -_-

      I’m working on my Diastasis as well with my PT. Definitely stop doing regular core workouts.

    Hey friend 😊 can you please do a video about what glute exercises one can do when you're quad dominant. Squats and lunges 'conventional booty workouts' don't do anything for booty growth. Only when you're ready to xx thank you
