- One of my last train journeys in Konkan railway before all the trains go electric. Almost 90% of Konkan is electrified now and soon the diesel days will be gone forever
Thsi is the Part 1 of my journey from Mangalore to Thane.

100% of KR is electrified. The CRS between Ratnagiri and Verna is on 24th I heard.

It's not yet 100%electrified.. Majorca to Vasco and Tinai ghat to Madgaon is still pending
Vasco Majorda comes under SWR dude, and Braghanza Ghats comes under SWR too ... 😂
And when someone speaks of KR 99% of the time they mean to talk about Thokur - Madgaon - Ratnagiri - Roha section lol.

I love the Konkan route trains. It is one of the most beautiful route other than the NJP-DBRG section. Gonna miss the diesel loco in this route.
7:09 to 8:13 thank you very much. I have been waiting for months for someone to upload the progress of work on this stretch. This 2 KM stretch has taken forever to build. This stretch is prone to heavy landslides during monsoon that's why the new tunnel arc has been streched

The Area at Mangaluru Jn. Outer is Frequent Landslide prone area, hence tunnel on New line is made longer.
Freights on Main line in KR's is regular affair. Few wait for Passenger trains to clear the section, while others, crew got duty off & waiting for new crew to come via Surathkal/Mangalore & Verna via available passenger trains to take over.
Excellent coverage with audio descriptions. Great job. Awesome speed, thanks to the twin Alcos. Could be the fastest train on Konkan railway
I hate when these people look at the camera and speak like they are some TV journalist. Most people just want to watch and listen to the train and natural sound.

I think this region is full of ALCOs. When I was a kid, I used to travel in Steam Engine. Also all my relatives were from Railways, I have travelled Inside Alco Loco from Arikere Juntion to Sakleshpur and from there in Caboose of good train till Kukke. That was an amazing experience. This is like 30 years ago

Avinash the speed at some stretches were quite awesome. Felt 120-130KPH but without any validity cant be sure , so hopefully if you can have the speed app also on ...Just capture that for the imagination for rail fans like us. Needless to add excellent compilation
Maximum speed is 110 for all trains except Rajdhani and Duronto in Konkan

There is urgent need of doubling mluru to udupi 65 km of which already 21 km double line with double padil tunnel put to use whereas thokoor to udupi 44 km need to be dooubled on top priority bcoz local trains is badly needed to cater the needs of travellers in between both dist headquarters nd manipal the international education centre
