Lovely watch, but come on Casio why do you insist on negative displays at the very least you should give your customers the choice and make the same watch with positive and negative displays
I wonder why you can't just press a button and change from negative to positive. I guess after they sell the dickens out of the either/or they'll install that feature and sell more.
I only have one negative display on a ga2100. I think it's as much a feature as a bug. On that blacked out one I like the fact that the digidisplay nearly disappears. To each his own.
Just received the blackout version. It wears smaller that what the specs suggest. Don't let the 49mm diameter scare you. That isn't the entire case. Just the ears out each side. It wears more like a 45mm case.
I really like the green bezel, and love the metal contraption on the left side of the dial, it just looks so cool! What do you also think about the upcoming gold fully-metal Casioak? It’s a shame it wasn’t released initially, but a welcome addition nonetheless.
Couldn’t agree more! As for the gold metal Casioak, it certainly looks punchy from the images! It’s what so many have been waiting for and one I think needs to be seen up close! I have a What’s New episode coming very soon which features it! :) thanks for watching again!
I paid about £200 equiv new for the red dial/black bezel variant. Love/ hate watch☺️ - the dial looks awesome in sunlight, which is also the only time that you can see the black hands 🙄. The IP black bezel is very scratch resistant, one reason for choosing this model. And the hands are well finished - sorry to say that yours look a bit rough at the edges. It should have auto light! If it did, the terrible legibility would be ameliorated somewhat. Why, oh why not, Casio? But I love the design and think that the new model is a downgrade - probably to differentiate more from the GMB2100 in pricing. The sharply defined edges and industrial design make it the best looking g-steel except for maybe the GST-B200, which I also have. Almost a mini MTG in looks. 👍🏻
Very good Video, Very hard to find watch! I scoured the internet for this one and bought the last one from a jeweler in Kansas. The only one I could find. I'm happy I was persistent! Love the watch!
Okay Im on the younger side and I have no problem seeing my negative display shocks therefore I love the look. Is the visibility issue something that come w age?
Nice video and nice watch. But I lough when you said that is full of functionality. I mean they can just remove BT connection completely and noone will care. The cost vs. reward for what it offers here is not balanced at all. Also as others mentioned: the negative display is not very good, although it’s discrete. I would like to see how a positive display would look on this watch.
The Bluetooth is useful, it synchronises your watch to the exact time. It takes no effort and you hardly notice it. A big plus to me. A small added bonus: if you misplace your phone, you can track it down with the watch.
Too heavy. Even at 145g, it's double the weight of my GM-2100, which is itself noticeably heavier than my GA-2000. Maybe I'm in the minority but I like 'em light.

Yes. Never had problems with small text / small displays.
At around 45, my sight started to deteriorate.

Agreed. A lot of G Shocks are too dark.
The displays on this one are lousy, they are recessed pretty deeply, and are tough to read.
The GST-B200 STN dot matrix display was 10 times better.
Nice watch but doesn't come close to the gstb100 in terms of design and sheer robustness! The b100 is a tank... How do I know this? I own both.....
