Really beautiful. Not many nowadays know it, but these bigger Ramblers were originally intended to be the Nash Ambassador and Hudson Hornet. The 58 Ambassador's side trim is what would have been used on the 58 Hudson had it been produced. George Romney though it just wasn't worth trying to keep Nash and Hudson alive and decided to badge these as RAMBLER Ambassadors, but they didn't sell in high numbers as Ramblers. Maybe they would have done better as Nash Ambassadors.
This was my Aunt's 1st Car I remember when I was about 5 (1965) she would take my mom myself and 2 little brothers around town. As a kid that back seat was huge I remember mom's siblings said it was too much HP for a 16 year old they might have been right she was "showing out" as my mom put it by going to fast and put spun out head first into a ditch.
As a child in the early 60s, my father had a 1960 cross country station wagon. It was his work car, and I remember how cold that air conditioning was, at least as cold as the one in my mother’s Bonneville. I love those reclining seats! Just great cars
I've owned only one Rambler, a '66 Marlin. Had lots of fun with it and made some good money selling it.
I hear the "Question Mark Explanation Syndrome"

That is a super nice Ambassador...but the dash pad should be sent out to Just Dashes in Los Angeles.
Love the Continental kit on this car, super clean and straight .
My dad had a 67 huge car.
