    With the vintage Polaroid cameras you have to use a sx 70 film not regular ityp or 600 film for the new cameras just to let you know

    • @InstantAnalogAdventures
      @InstantAnalogAdventures  3 года назад +5

      Actually, itype and 600 Film work great in the sx70 as long as you use and ND filter. I’ve been using itype film in my SX70 recently with the ND filter and the images come out great.

    Great video, man! Just found an old SX-70 myself. Shot my first pack of film, but all my pictures seem to overexpose and loose all detail in faces. Also tried underexposing, but i seem to get the same result, only with blacked out backgrounds. Do you have any tips?

    • @InstantAnalogAdventures
      @InstantAnalogAdventures  3 года назад +1

      Much love, brotha! Glad you enjoyed the video! Sorry to hear about your cam actin up, my guess would be the exposure compensation is dirty on the inside. I’ve seen a couple videos on here explaining that if the glass inside the exposure comp is dirty then it reads light as if it were darker meaning it tells the camera to keep the lens open longer. Cleaning it would mean getting a proper reading of light and proper exposure. I suggest looking into this, hope this helps!

    I used my 600 film indoors with my sx70 and they came out surprisingly good no nd filter was used. I don’t know if it was just random luck. Has anyone else tried 600 film indoors no nd filter

    • @InstantAnalogAdventures
      @InstantAnalogAdventures  3 года назад +1

      Oh man that’s interesting! I’ve only done it once I believe and most of them still came out just a tad but over exposed but for the most part, I still got images out of them!

      @@InstantAnalogAdventures my indoor lighting was not too bright so, idk if that caused the pictures to come out good

    Does anyone else find the sonar version not focusing correctly at infinity? I always seem to get a bit blurry infinity focus so I have to change to manual and slide the wheel to infinity. Apart from that it autofocuses alright

    Great video! I'll expect your next videos, BUT, I thing that would be better if you use SX-70 film with ISO160 and you have to use frog tongue if you want to get better pictures.I like your video a lot, but not the pictures. You have to clean the camera and fix the light leak and I'm sure the beautiful photos are coming... :) Good luck

      Thanks for the feedback! I definitely have been using SX-70 Film for my shots for the past 2 months. It was just the matter of only having 600 film available where I was. Glad you enjoyed the video and I'll keep working on those pictures, stay tuned! :)

      @@InstantAnalogAdventures Acabo de comprar una SX70 Sonar y la espero con ansias. Yo no tengo tongue frog porque no consigo encontrarlas por ningún lado, pero "diseño" una casera utilizando la protección negra de las películas (donde viene la frase, a esa capa superior me refiero). La pego con un poco de celo / fixo a la parte delantera de la cámara, por donde sale la foto, y cuando está fuera agarro foto + la tongue frog casera y la meto en la mochila o algún bolsillo sin que le toque nada la luz. Uso este sistema con todas mis cámaras polaroids, con las tipo 600 también.

    Do you have to move further to the dark side on your exposure compensation wheel since you’re shooting 600 film?

    • @InstantAnalogAdventures
      @InstantAnalogAdventures  4 года назад +2

      Larry Grand Yup, I usually have it at least 1/3 to the darken side even with the ND filter.

    the lens on my sx-70 is blacked out and i can't see anything when i try to take a photo :( do you know the problem by any chance?

    • @InstantAnalogAdventures
      @InstantAnalogAdventures  4 года назад +1

      Sorry to hear about your SX-70 :(. Unfortunately, I don't have any experience dealing with the internals of the SX-70 or had any problems with it. I suggest saving up some money to send it to Brooklyn Film and Camera to get it repaired or reach out to multiple Polaroid groups either on Facebook or Instagram to see if they too could help ya out. Best of luck!

    Bruh, you need to start working with SX-70 (ISO 100) in order to get better photos

    SX-70 is a great camera, but the modern "Impossible" film is just terrible. Colors look so faded(. Great video anyway!

    • @InstantAnalogAdventures
      @InstantAnalogAdventures  4 года назад +1

      Yeah, it's hard to get correct vibrant colors. But I think a part of why these photos came out the way they did is because of temperature control and when I was putting the ND filter on, I accidentally pressed too hard so some light came in and light leaked some of the photos.
