Another fun video, thanks! Just wanted to send my love and sympathy for the loss of your beautiful Grandmother. Sending heartfelt condolences to your entire family. Please stay safe traveling! Blessings.
Shrek Feet ?!? Please, they're too cute. I wonder what the dogs are thinking as you setup and perform the many walk by camera shots. More than likely a few times. They're probably like "what the hell ya doing mom, we already did that? "
You have my wife and I looking at camper van rentals to geta. taste of the nomadic lifestyle. More importantly, will there ever be a second run of the Campere t-shirts? It is one of my favorites and I think my wife and daughter need one.
I wrote a country tune called Battle Mountain Blues. I lived outside of Elko in Carlin NV. In the 70s. The Overland bar and The Owl. Have that tune on their juke boxes......lol😂❤
Gosh, Nikki, you and those two little guys are just the cutest ever, so wholesome and adorable. With all due respect, hope Justin realizes what a gem you are and treats you as such. You deserve the most loving, kind, and supportive companionship there is because that is what you give. Stay safe always. Much love and blessings.
Love that you're adding visits to places, and talking to people, and including the history in the background of the places that you go. It adds a tremendous amount to the video.
Great vid as usual. Boy, Camper sure likes his sticks. That had to be the fastest 17 minutes in awhile. Take care and Happy 4th of July to you and the "boys".
I own two acres just east of Elko that Nikki could use anytime she wants. Perfect for a van lifer to stop, just a few miles off I-80, and the north fork of the Humboldt River flows through a corner of the property.
I'm really enjoying your trip to Nevada it is very beautiful Elko is a really nice place and it is awesome, You, Camper and Rodney stay safe, cool and until your next video Thank You Nikki D.🇺🇲🐕🚐🦮🇺🇲
Hey nkikie I love all your amazing videos I mean wow I love all your amazing anvetures and I can’t wait to see the next video I know it’s going to be amazing
Cheers to this gentleman highlighting a woman metalworker in the early days of the workshop, that was a really cool moment. And just big props to you for using your platform to share about artisans like this. In an era of Amazon and fast fashion, it's really special to see people still making beautiful things with their hands! Nice work as always, Nikki!!
What a GREAT Reminder of where we came from. 🇺🇸The American Spirit is second to NONE - We “needed” this today🙏🙌 TY for posting about our American Pride-God Bless U💙🤍❤️
You have discovered one of the Best Kept Secrets of the Wild West. The Ruby and Jarbridge Mountains are isolated an beautiful. Also, some of the best fishing in the US is in the Ruby Marshes
It's become apparent that Camper and Rodney have a monopoly on cuteness. Though ordinarily I'm opposed to monopolies, in this case I'm not only happy to make an exception, but also to encourage them to continue their endeavours. Stay wonderful, please.
My first place to explore in the West would be Nevada....SO much history and open land.. These cowboys and gold miners were the rough of the roughest... ..I'm just mesmerized by Nevada..so much more than deserts and Vegas...
Ive never been to America but with your videos I get to see so much of it and I love all the history you explain. Such a beautiful area and wonderful people at the store, very talented too. Love Camper's zoomies and the picture in the intro of Camper asleep resting on a sleeping Rodney, such wonderful pals x
Wish you would have spent more time in Battle Mountain. There is a good amount of old history there. I live in Virginia now. But I went to grade school and high school in Battle Mountain and at 1 time lived in the house directly across from the owl club in the park. The house sits 15 feet from the railroad track, and the train goes by at about 80 miles an hour several times a day. Talk about having some nightmares.
Nikki-I see you're making your way eastbound on my "drive home to Idaho from California" on the 80 corridor (hwys. 80, CA to Wells, NV) and hwy. 93 (Wells, NV-Twin Falls, ID). Elko is known for the Cowboy Poetry Festival (last week of January annually), the California Interpretive Center, Basque food & culture, and so much more! Yes, you did the Ruby Mountain trail drive!!! You were down in Elko about the same time I was (on 5/28, for my birthday)!!
Best time of the day , is combining shower with drying all bedding and in my case long Jon’s on a cold night just before bed straight into warmth Jon’s an into warm bed , with my drugs I’m out in minutes till pain wakes one at early am Nice post thanks for sharing your time with your babies 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🤟🏼🤙🏼🖖🏼🇳🇿
That's another location on my bucket list to see and drive through. The handmade saddles looked amazing, and everyone seemed so friendly. Thanks for another great video, they always make my Friday's better.
Awesome video as always Nikki, Camper R.V. Y’all always meet the most friendliest people and visit the most unique places. Thanks for letting us ride along with y’all on y’all’s adventures.
Beautiful scenery as usual, just gorgeous. Wouldn't cousin Sarah look good in a mini Mercedes van all done up on smaller scale, maybe even a 3/4 high shower to fit the van with a tankless water heater for instant hot water, mini fridge, mini microwave oven. She would love the extra room a mini van would provide. Here is a thought if she should do this in the future, a single bed high enough to put drawers underneath for clothes, etc. May have to be custom built. Miss Sarah would be traveling in mini style. A few extra comforts doesn't hurt + a couple of appliances she really could use. If I had extra money not being used, I would present her with that mini Mercedes van as a surprise. Haven't won the powerball yet, working on it. Just giving some ideas to pass on to her.
🤩Always a fun adventure with you Nikki, Camper and Rodney! Thank you for taking us along on your Nevada trip cuz I've driven through Nevada and, well, it was not so fun, lol. Now I want to go back and see what you've shown. Thx! (edited for typos 🤪)
What a great episode. The saddle and leather work was amazing to see pure craftsmanship at work outstanding. Another photographers dream location. Lamoille Canyon Ruby Mountains look breath taking. Again another one added to my list. Thank you sharing.
I was really hoping you’d stop in Elko… Lamoille is absolutely gorgeous, spent many many many days and nights hiking the Rubys… Makin me homesick…. Love the channel ❤️
I live in Fallon, NV, and wish to see more of the state. When you visit with the locals, it reminds me to be more outgoing on my adventures. Your videos are really great, and it's awesome to see how far you've come from the Prius.
I was raised around horses my whole life. I still have my dad’s English saddle he used when he would exercise the thoroughbred’s he trained. Unfortunately I don’t have the original girt on it. But I still have the original stirrups. I learned how to ride horses on that saddle. I think it was made in the 50’s or 60’s.
Nikki this was one of your best videos ever. Great job Sarah on the editing ! Haha. That history lesson on the tack shop was stellar. Safe Travels Amiga y Amigos(pups).
The minute the dogs saw snow they wanted to get out and play, my dog just loved snow too. Beautiful views and waterways, visited Nevada many years ago and enjoyed the little towns, way back to 1977 for me.
Nikki! This episode was AWESOME!!! Your tour of the saddle shop and experience with those lovely people was so interesting. That shop was just layer after layer of amazing things, info, history and people. Wow. And you connected with them so easily.
It's so nice to hear an East Coaster say Nevada correctly. Also, anyone with a travel trailer or fifth wheel should not attempt to boondock in Lamoille Canyon. Go to the designated campgrounds instead.
Nikki...you should consider quit using the word "but" so often...but negates what you just said, and replace but with the word AND. Consider this: I love you but....or....I love you and....
She should also speak in rhyme, in verse. Because the way she usually presents it is not at all interesting. Next, she needs to wear a white dress and braid her hair. So, standing in a white dress with a braid of hair, she must read poetry. And no buts, and, and other indefinite syllables! Thank you!
I'm excited to see the next video in this series. I find the west pretty fascinating and a place that I hope to go check out and spend some time at in the future.
I’m so glad you love this! I’m fascinated by cowboy culture and history! We will be spending a week on a ranch, after the summer. One I am very excited to film!
Hi! Nikki, I’m from England, and found this video absolutely mesmerising! We have nothing like this here, and the vistas in those mountains are incredible! Thanks for all the beauty and joy you bring with your videos Nikki, because you are equally a beautiful sole yourself! A true Angel of the mountains! Stay safe and well sweetheart, and always be true to yourself! God bless! ❤❤
When I lived in Reno '77-'81 the only rodeo I heard of was the Reno Gay Rodeo. I worked part time at a print shop and....well, we printed stuff for that event. Wonder if it's still popular....
Thanks guys and you too Nikki for taking us along and showing us the small town, people, history of the great USA . Sure beats watching building. I have learned a lot about our country wilderness areas and small town folks. Thanks again.
My parents live a couple miles from Lamoille Canyon. It's great to sit in the back yard and stare at the mountains. Too bad the snow is still around, the Ruby Crest Trail starts at the end of the road, and is amazing.
What a great video!!! I think it absolutely awesome that your stopping at local businesses and giving them exposure to the masses. Now I'm no cowboy but I can appreciate the skill and craftsmanship of all of those wonderful people.
Darn Nikki, you drove with in a 1/2 mile of our home. We would have cooked up something on the grill. Maybe next time!
No way! I need to start announcing where I am on Patreon for meet ups!
