The mixing of sugar with coffee in the two small metal containers brings back a vivid memory of my childhood while living in the town of Ipoh, in the state of Perak, Malaysia. My next-door neighbor was Indian and had his great-grandmother living with them. Every morning she likes to sit on the porch with her morning drink. She would do that mixing motion. Even as a 10-year-old I would watch in awe how she never spilled any while I can't even pour milk in my cereal bowl without always spilling some.
You did a great job with the pronunciations, way to go Mina! Those parks and trails so peaceful :) And I think the the bowl you liked from the unlimited thali place was Dal - Baati ; its a staple where I come from (Rajasthan, India).
My husband and I were flying out of SeaTac back to Sacramento and we saw your mom! We were too shy to say hi but her red frames were hard to miss-iconic!
You and Mommy Oh are so adventurous, despite knowing food is going to be spicy, you focused on the flavours and variety! One thing I have noticed is that indian food there is so expensive! 4$ for 2 pieces of gulab jamun?? Love you both and your content always. Hoping to see more on Sweetandtastytv too. Much Love.
Of course, because salary of cooks, rent of the place, extra overheads are considerably higher in US/UK. But people also earn much keeping high cost factors in mind. In purchasing power parity terms, equivalent of Rs 350 in USA will be Rs 100 in India. So, you can use this scale to assess how expensive any consumer item in USA vis a vis India.
I’ve watched a ton of your videos on every channel you have ☺️I love the detail you put into your videos from the green screen to the names and prices on the screen to the funny emojis. You make me chuckle. I have the olive Hello Darlings t-shirt. I love it!! Could we get one of your closing statement? 😬 Toodles ma noodles Can’t wait for part 3!! 💜
Any length of video you post is fine with me😊 I love watching your videos, I feel like I'm going on an adventure with you guys when I feel lonely. Thank you! Part 3 would be cool if your up for more Indian food! It all looks so delicious, I should find local spots in my area to try😊
I think you ladies really enjoyed all the food. Some Indian food is above my spice level but some of what you had like the dosa and the chicken dish I would like for sure and probably the rice dish. Your snacks looked really good. When you cut into that Soan Papdi it kind of reminded me of shredded wheat looked similar in texture.
Hi Miss Mina, so glad to have caught the description of the unlimited Thali at the end... Looks great and thank you for the great suggestion... Will head over for a great meal 😋
Favorite Indian food has to be the food that our parents prepare in homes, the authenticity of the flavors and taste is hard to be matched by restaurants (at least from my time trying out Indian food restaurants in the US)
Helloo minaa ♡♡ I've been following you since 3yrs now and I never commented under your videos before, but I love love the way you explain the details of each ingredient and also the texture, taste... which makes you extra special and I loveeeee mommy ohh sooo much.❤❤ I miss watching your videos with my sister 😢 but now I'm abroad studying ... and me deciding to watch this now while missing my Indian food soo bad, that too at 11:15 pm to torture myself 😅😭 Anyhow just wanted to say love youu and mommy ohhh ♡♡♡😘😘
Thank you for watching for three years and enjoying our videos! Three years is a long time in internet years, especially when there's so much content being pumping onto RUclips daily. Congrats for your first comment on this channel 🎉 Tell your sister hello and hope everything goes awesome with your journey of studying abroad ❤️
#75!! Kathakali was a Jack in the Box before and before that it was an Arctic Circle hamburger joint. Wow, how times have changed. Spent many hours in Juanita Park, swimming and fishing. Loved the food tour. And your dancing, as usual, was wonderful!!!!
0:56 Dum Biryani is made in a giant cauldron so if it’s heavy to hold, it’s authentic 😂 (My favourite kind of Biryani is the Calcutta Biryani which has potato and chicken and btw there’s no such thing as Veg Biryani because Biryani entails a meat based dish) #ThatBiryaniGlow
Biryani is a way of cooking. So there definitely exists a veg biryani. Biryani though inspired from Persia has its origins in indian subcontinent. Hence obviously it’s adapted to the Indian palette. Thus veg biryani, paneer biryani, jackfruit biryani all exist. No where does it say that biryani needs to have meat. With that logic samosa which also has its origin in Middle East needs to have meat and thus potato samosa doesn’t exist.
@@Sonakshi111 I love Indian food and my favorite dish is either paneer curry or chicken biryani. I also enjoy vegetarian biryani or other vegetarian/vegan Indian dishes.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this video watching ya'lls reactions was everything and the food looks divineee, INDIAN FOOD IS THE BEST love you and mommy oh 😍😍😋🙏🏻
My favorite is always Biryani, whenever i go to India, Pakistan or even Bangladesh, I always order biryani every night in my hotel + Rogan Josh and Naan to add on top, Man vs Food challenge every night in my hotel room. OMG so yummy. Great to see you and your mom enjoy Indian Food.
I am glad your diving a bit deeper into our country's food. The flavours are second to none. Alot of food in UK that's Curry based was inspired by India as well. Keep exploring your only scratching just the surface there is soo much more. I would recommend my fav sweets Doda ka halwa, Rasmalai and Laddu(A staple sweet). You will enjoy the textures.
You are the first ever utuber I see to post exact Indian dishes! .. Im happy that it was not only chicken tikka masala, naan and briyani Loved that you showed so much of culture and varieties❤️❤️
You started your art account on IG since last year & I only got to learn about it just now! Even late, I am still so happy you actually have one. Your art pieces are very satisfying. I love how you work with colors and lines. Keep enjoying.
When its come to tasting & reviewing Indian cuisine, there is no other better Vlogger than Mina. Loved your mom's food choices & reactions. Can't wait for Part 3. And yes as you mentioned in the comment, you should make a video series of various cuisines. Would always love to watch them.
Thank you for teaching us how to eat the dosa. I've been wanting to try it but was nervous about eating it incorrectly. I will hopefully try it soon. 🙂
I hope that you can start your travel vlog again. I really enjoyed your personality and the fun way you introduce us to all the places you have travel to. You Mom is ausome, enjoy the love
Welcome to my neighborhood! If you ever get a chance to come back during the summer, go to squak mountain and try paragliding. Also, head to Preston and try Rhodies BBQ, they have a tailboss sandwhich that is really good.
Lol. The joy of smelling fresh bread. In the city I live in there is a bread factory. Some days I can smell when they are baking the bread and other days I can smell when they are baking the sweets cuz of the spice in the air.

To be honest I'm Pakistani and the food is very similar to Indian and I cant wait to see mommy oh's reaction. I hope you guys loved it.
It has to be similar you guys were part of India before British partitioned the country!
Wow what a shocker! For both countries, that are situated opposite sides of the world, to have similar food dishes or recipes right! DUH!
Everything looks so good! I really want to try dosa! And the the path from the walk you had looked beautiful!

The reason why the dosa tasted like sour dough bread is that the dosa batter is fermented overnight or for like 1 day before it is cooked
