My husband is Andy of Andy’s Fish House! Thank you so much for stopping in to see us and try our food ❤ it made us smile when your mom said the cioppino was the best she’s ever had! 🫶 this made our day!
MINAAA I WAS A KID WITH UNRESTRICTED INTERNET ACCESS SO I USED TO LOVE WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS WHEN I WAS 8, AND I JUST REMEMBERED YOU I'M SO HAPPY YOU'RE STILL DOING VIDEOS
I have never left comment on this kind of blog before. I just love you and Mommy O so much! You are so upbeat, and down to earth at the same time. I love the combination of your playfulness and respect with your mom. And, even though it might sound funny, I love the way your mouth and face look when you eat, I could watch you all day!
Thank you for gifting me your rare comment! We appreciate your viewership and warm words so much. I'm glad that you like the way I eat because I post a lot of food videos lol ❤
If you told me that Mommy Oh was the deposed queen of an obscure country, I wouldn't doubt you one bit. She is so poised and graceful with impeccable manners! And yet she's so kind and loving! I want to be like Mommy Oh. The dream.
Loved that Mommy Oh is in a big part of this video. And Sydney is a very wonderful presence in your conversations too! Your videos are better when the partner is an active and fun participant
Your friend was so pretty, and sweet. Your vlog brought me back to the two years I lived in Seattle with my husband. We were so poor, we never really left the Belltown area where we lived in a 350 sq foot apartment. We saw the falls in Snohomish once, but didn't stop in the little town. But we ate at Ivars near Pike Place. I remember being so excited for salmon fish and chips.
Beautiful quilted coat! I love the ikak (?) indigo print. The seafood tour got my mouth watering for fish and chips, fish tacos, and more. Thanks for the tour! Jenny 💙🐟🐙🐚🦀🦞🦐🦪
10:32 One way I like to test out new restaurants is to see how they do with the basic menu items. So if this place's fish and chips are clean (not oil) that's how you know it's likely everything else is tasty. 12:17 Yea. It sucks but a lot of 'mom and pop' type of stores are being shut down due to rising costs of doing business, not being able to get an extended lease, malls being demolished, etc. 13:22 Fun fact. Sankaku (三角) is Japanese for 'triangle' ... 삼각형. 13:48 Mushrooms! 14:15 Chickens!
Awww I was just thinking of you today! Your travel vlogs brought so much comfort few years ago when I was so down dealing with my ex. So glad to find you again and I really miss your comforting voice telling your stories and experiences in your travels! 😊 Take Miss Mina and stay safe!
Hi mina! It's been a while since I watched your vlogs I was in 5th grade when I became a fan now my high school graduation is in a month watching your videos gave me comfort and makes me feel nostalgic
Your videos are such a delight to watch even though I am vegan for ethical reasons. I love how you describe the food and flavors On the other hand I am sad how many creatures die for folks to eat when the ocean and its inhabitants are so depleted.
I used to watch your videos Mina because its too entertaining. In addition your relationship with your mom is awesome! I felt so jelous. I hope we also have that kind of relationship with my mom. Were too distant to each other😢
Aaahhh that looked so yummy. If they find a way to transmit the smell over RUclips, it will be amazing. Hey, I am going to Korea in a few weeks. So excited. I am revising your old vids from Korea. Don't know if the restaurants your visited are still opened but this gives me a good idea of what to expect.
Smell-O-Vision! I'd also love to experience warm mist when dumplings appear on a video (to mimic steam haha). I'm planning a Korea trip right now and finding that Google Maps has many more places tagged. For getting around, I use the Naver map (it's in both English and Korean). My friend tells me the CatchTable app is great to find food spots in Korea (it's in Korean, but you can take a phone screenshot and copy/paste the text into Naver map). While many businesses may come and go, there are places like Bukchon Hanok Village and Gwangjang Market that will stay open. There are other traditional Korean markets like Dongdaemun Market and Namdaemun Market. There are less touristy markets as well. If you search "Seoul traditional market" on Google Maps, they'll pop up. Some markets have alley ways with hidden restaurants! Hope you have a yummy and smooth trip in Korea! ❤🎉
Nice memories, I used to have an office overlooking Marina Park just a couple blocks north in Kirkland, and would run past Brink Park most days after work, sometimes stopping there for a breather. I don't remember if the Ivar's Seafood Bar was in Kirkland when I was there, my ex-wife and I frequented the one in Renton where we ended up living. The plain old fish and chips was my favorite. It's been years since I've been back.
You are braver than me for trying geoduck, especially as sashimi. I know it is a Pacific Northwest indigenous specialty and the local Vietnamese community enjoys it since it is also enjoyed in Vietnam. I feel like a fake Pacific Northwesterner for not trying so much of our local seafood. So far your local PNW Native name pronunciation is on point. Oh man those fish tacos look soo good.
Thank you so much! I've been learning how to pronounce the PNW Native names here. Believe me, I used to pronounce Sequim very differently 😂 It's been a learning journey!
@@MissMinaOh It's not one particular name, but the critical mass of so many of them around the Puget Sound and it makes me chuckle anytime I see someone from the East Coast choke on some of the easier ones like Yakima. I mean if you're not going to get Yakima right you're not going to get Steilacoom or tell Snohomish from Snoquamish. I try not to get judgmental when I hear Pike's Place instead of Pike Place. Of course some cascadian and I am for not even having tried geoduck.
The best seafood chowder I have ever had in my life by far is at a place called Salt and Iron in Edmonds, WA. Super close to Seattle and they have an incredible Hamachi Caesar Salad with fried capers as well.
I love Ivar’s they closed their location here in Spokane when Covid hit. I LOVE their salmon and chips! Also the only think that can beat their tarter is Zips tartar sauce! I’m so lucky that I found Safeway here sells ivars tarter
Ivar's smoked salmon chowder is my favorite! And Taylor Said is the best. I grew up getting seafood from their store in Shelton. I highly recommend Duke's Seafood. The one of Greenlake is the original (I think), but they have another one in Bellevue.
I may be a bit biased, but in my mind the only legit way to eat clam chowder is at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. I have eaten it in many places but NONE came even close to that one. Ivar's is a bit of a McDonald's version of seafood. Otherwise a very lovely video as usual!
Hey Mina, try: Looking for Chai in Bellevue (their pork over rice and black tea bobba is the best!) and Fil Cuisine in Lynnwood!:-) let me know whats your take for those two- viewer from the eastside!
Coming to Seattle in May. Hoping to find best prices for fresh oysters. Maybe a happy hour special or something. I'm thinking maybe best option is one of the seafood oriented Chinese buffets. Any thoughts?
Hi guys ! when I looking at to her eating food so like make me hungry rice so much and some time in my home my mum she will cooking like this food for me every some weekend when I staying at home with my mum ! some time for me I like to eating bread with some vegetable and eating with some meat too rice too , But some Cream I like to eating a small Cream I eat with bread . I thanks for sharing your outside lifestyle in some restaurant in your country .
