This is gorgeous! This is the best DIY faux leather TN I've seen!!! I don't know why I haven't thought to use my Xyron. I've have been trying to use Mod Podge but it causes the paper that I'm using for one side to pull the faux leather to warp and have huge ridges when it dries. It must be pulling the leather up as the paper dries.
Gorgeous Marilyn! You always do a fantastic job on your swaps! I was able to get the die and it's on it's way! I didn't know there's a passport size - I would've ordered that one too! TFS!
Marilyn, this is gorgeous. I just got this die and have cut covers out of everything. So love that closure. Very creative way to use the extra pieces. Funkie Junkie has the die.
You go with your bad self. I seen the one you posted on instagram and loved it so glad you did a reveal video. I love everything you didyour swap partner of going to love it for sure. I love your chain book mark super cute. I have been don't the leather ones I need to give that style a try. mucho hugs Girly, Anna
Hi Anna! Thank you. I had to wait until Gloria had opened it to post the video. I was dying since she wanted to wait until she sent hers off to me. Thanks for watching! Hugs, M
Great video. I love it. For your edges of the inserts...you can use a craft sanding block to blend the edges of the decorative edge to the inserts you used. :) Love the pen holder.
beautiful Marilyn , I'm loving making this TN too , I'm on the making of one with tilda fabric :) tfs all the tips , specially the one for the glue hugs yorlis
Marilyn G - Will you please tell me which of your videos show the items you made for the inside of the Travelers Journal/TN? I guess it may just be videos for other TNs and not this particular one. I went though a year of your videos and couldn't find anything. Thanks! Loving your channel that I just happened upon tonight.
Liana Marchetti My videos for TNs are either for the Standard Size like this one or for an A5 size. I think they have Fauxdori or Notebook in the title.
omg! I saw the die on Glo's channel, had to go buy it and the passport one! Waiting for the journal one to ship. Y'all are killing me! lol Just watched Her video of the whole thing-FABULOUS! YOU ROCKED IT!
So beautiful! Thanks for sharing:) I will definitely try :) do you know what thickness of the Grafix plastic you used? I see a .007 and a .020 available:) Thanks again!
I wasn't able to find the travel notebook inserts at Michaels. It wasn't on their website either. Maybe I am using the wrong search term. The only thing that came up were the notebooks themselves. Did you have to buy the notebooks to get the inserts or were they sold separately? Thanks so much!
These were from last June 2017. However, I know they carry them from different manufacturers like American Crafts and others, since it seems to be the in thing.
Oh wow, when I measured the area inside the die between the top and bottom holes for the elastic, I came up with a length of 7 1/4" which is smaller than "standard" : I did not realize you were able to slip the "standard size" through the elastic then, that is awesome, you have been so helpful! Thank you!
Just finished watching Gloria's channel! Very beautiful notebook! Thank you for the tutorial and tips too :). Love your idea on your rubber block to remove the adhesive, do they sell those at a craft store? TFS :)

I see, thank you! It is hard to find the exact size for use with this die.
Craftin Kate these are the standard sized inserts. Lots of etsy shops and even hobby lobby carry this size.

very pretty
PHENOMENAL!!
Thank you!
Soooooooo cute I have to get the die.
Eileen Hull sells them in her etsy shop and the Funkie Junkie Boutique also has them.
Lovely journal! What kind of glue do you use?
I used the xyron for this I believe. Often times I will use Helmar 450 Quick Dry for other things.
Just finished watching Gloria's channel! Very beautiful notebook! Thank you for the tutorial and tips too :). Love your idea on your rubber block to remove the adhesive, do they sell those at a craft store? TFS :)
My Creative Ego thanks! Yes, but look in the art section where they have the graphite pencils, markers, etc.
Awesome job! Love it, just received my die. Where in Michael's did you find the paper clips?
Ah those actually were gifted to me from a crafty friend as my Micheals never carried them. Sorry not much help there.
Marilyn G np... thanks!
