Thank you for this video! You made the pamphlet stitch look so easy and with no unnecessary "fiddlyness" I immediately went to my craft room, stacked a bunch of random papers and book pages together and made a "bound book"!!!! TYSM!!!
Thank you for showing this in such a simple manner! I think I will give it a go. My daughter had made me a December Daily last year and I so enjoyed writing in it every evening and tucking in little bits of each day's events. I love your style a d your videos. Hugsxxxx
I 💘 this Idea, cant to wait to get started, I think alot of people have forgot about letters and creative ways to send letters because everythibg is all electronic. It is so nice to get something speical in the mail, that someone has really took the time to make . just starting out. Love the ideaof theses lille notbooks not real hard to make either love the detail, I dont like to measure. Great video you totally ROCKED it! Thank you for sharing. ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
You could also use the regular size stapler open over a piece of cardboard. You just have to fold the staples in yourself with an eraser or bone folder.
Thank you for sharing. What size is the cover holding all your note books? And how many elastics are there? Do you have any tutorials on how to make a cover? I really enjoyed this tutorial..x
Thank you for this tutorial. I like the way you explained the steps. And, oh, yes, it's an "all" not an "owl," but I will never get "owl" out of my head! Sorry for teasing you ... you're very sweet, & now I'm off to make my first travellers notebook!
Oh this is such a lovely channel to have found, Nazy... 😃 I just need you to start posting 3x a week!! Too long between videos - LOL. Through you I have discovered Daphne's Diary - what a treat... I shall be sure to send some little vintage book bits and bobs to you at the end of September to your PO Box from England... I have seen the most beautiful duck-egg blue leather and am tempted to make my own traveller's notebook cover next month... What a lovely world to step into. Have a beautiful day 😙
Helen Ayres Ahh Helen I just saw your comment now! Thank you so much for your amazing support, I am so happy you like Daphne's Diary and welcome to the TN community! 🤗
Amity Bloom Haha! I guess you're busy, what with ALL THE NEW SUBSCRIBERS! 😄 This has reminded me to gather some vintage book clippings for you... Loving your channel. And yes, regarding your latest video, we'd love a tour of your craft area. 😄 Enjoy the rest of your day. xx
Is the white paper the same size as the cover or is the cover just a bit bigger? I just cannot seem to find out on videos I have watched! Also are those elastics ponytail holders for the smallest size? Thanks! Sandy
this look very helpful! thank you for posting it! :D On the side note though, I learned that to keep your rotary blade or any kind of blade cutting tool from chips or damaged would be better to cut things on top of a cutting mat :D
Thanks !!! I now know how to get the pages even: ) ) Mine always come out sticking out of my covers. I have been very frustrated with the ones I have made and trying to trim them always ends up being even worse . Thanks for sharing this. Now I'm going to try again.
Hi I am new and found you explained this so well, going to check your videos. Thanks. p.s. I found myself humming California Dreamin' by the Mamas and Papas at the beginning and end of the video!
You trim the excess AFTER you put the book together? No wonder my pages were all different lengths when i put them together. :/ This was really helpful! Thank you!
Thanks for a great video. I always wondered about the rounded corners......make perfect sense when you do them after trimming ( duh ). No wonder I had uneven edges :)
hey there, love your videos. so much positivity and honesty. If my ears are hearing correctly, you use parts of "California Dreamin'" by Mama's and Papas, which is my favorite and hold the few happy memories i have. I do have a question. in the video you mentioned using 9 x 11 paper? I've never seen it sold like that where I live (CT) but i still love watching and getting inspired.
Nice video and some helpful tips. If you don't mind a tiny piece of constructive criticism, perhaps you can lower the brightness a bit. It was a bit rough on my eyes, and if I were to watch more of your videos, I would have to go into my controls to lower it for only your videos, which would be rough to do. Plus, I can't see as much details in your beautiful creations with the brightness. And since you weren't sure, it's said A-L-L, just like in the way you say the word all. =) Thanks for sharing.
Hi! I just discovered you this evening and am binge watching so might find the answer to my question in some other video, I'll preface my question by saying I have watched so many TN DIY videos and not a single one gives precise measurements for them! Not to say there aren't any out there but apparently the right one has eluded me until now! My question is this. What are the dimensions of the other two TN you mentioned in this video. I'm a new subbie and will get notifications so will watch for your response. Thanks so much btw for your videos. They are informative, inspirational and entertaining. Oh my gosh!
i went straight over to ebay after this and got me a 99 cent "OWL" LMAO!!! all Jokes a side...this was very informative for me and I am on my way making my own inserts because of it, thank you so much :)
Thank you again! You've got me sold, I want a dori now! I would pick the same styles as you, they are beautiful and make me smile. And asked below, how many pieces of paper does the corner rounder cut? I haven't used mine yet.
Yay! Trust me getting a fauxdori is a wonderful way to express yourself freely and document everything that comes across your mind! 🤗 So excited for you! As for the corner rounder it usually cuts 2-3 pages at a time and it's from the brand recollections.
Can I ask where your diary is from? Is it a printable one or sold as a book? I've found one similar for a regular size but would like one for an a6 size TN 😁
I bought me a page rounder or whatever it is called and the paper's look SOOOOOOO much better when they are rounded, I think so and everyone I've asked thinks so.
HI! What if my inserts have designs? what method can you teach me? I have already cut them one by one, i fold them one by one, but when I put them all together, they're not even

Enjoyable tutorial. Just a note - you need a straight-sided quilters ruler for the rotary cutter.
Thanks for sharing. Your notebooks are beautiful and now I can make my own :)
Thanks !!! I now know how to get the pages even: ) ) Mine always come out sticking out of my covers. I have been very frustrated with the ones I have made and trying to trim them always ends up being even worse . Thanks for sharing this. Now I'm going to try again.
