It amazes me how a company like Ruger can have the extensive product line they do, and still come out with homeruns like this. They find a void in the market and fill it. Ruger is a great firearm maker.

I've been saying for years that glock should come out with their version of a five-seven!! I always thought that it would be an awesome idea that would be a highly sought after firearm. Ruger really was thinking outside the box and most people are going to go this route to get into the 5.7 game due to price vs. the FN version. I've always wanted an FN five-seven but couldn't bring myself to spend $1100-$1400 bucks on a pistol in this caliber knowing I could hey a hell of a rifle for the same price. But I'd certainly love to hey this ruger 57...Great video!!

My thoughts are going to be that this thing is going to be hard as hell to find for the first little bit kinda like what happened with the PMR30 everyone is going to want one. On the plus side if this thing takes off like a expect it to, more company's might make ammo for it.

Looks like an interesting firearm, and it’s nice to see another company tackle this incredible caliber! It would be hard-pressed that this gun would even come close to matching the FN versions quality and longevity, but we will see!
Usually there’s a reason why guns are more expensive than other guns in the same caliber! But I can definitely see this ruger version appealing to a new crowd of gun enthusiasts!

Johnny Johnson well with the cost of the ammo it’s better to have a platform to run through the paces of accuracy out to say 200 yards with this particular cartridge, as compared to plinking 75 to 100 yards and burning through ammo because of it being semi automatic and less accurate.
