Brooks rly has something special here. Put my foot in a pair at a local run shop and ran around on it and it is the most comfortable thing I’ve ever put my feet in. Got too many shoes rn but it will likely be my next buy.
I have the more v5 and couldn't be happier with it for my recovery and easy runs! When I'm looking for a max stack shoe, I want it to be soft, forgiving and easy on my joints. If I'm looking for a faster and firmer ride, I'm going to look at different options which are also much lighter. Imo the brooks tries to be too many things at once. Too heavy to be a fast or long run shoe, too firm to be really comfy. I have multiple shoes for different purposes in my rotation and don't need a do-it-all trainer. But this is just my personal take and everyone has different preferences.
Great video. But companies need to start talking about the down side to super high stack that are super soft … my experience if you walk long miles both shoes are great if you train in these for up to a marathon they will save your legs. PROBLEM all these site say use up to any mileage I have done a 50 mile ultra and a 75 mile ultra. These wreck your toes nails and cause major strains because super long distances these shoes act like your walking in sand which is not how your walk everyday. So just be careful and pick the right shoe for the right distance
I have the More v4 and the forefoot feels like it flattens out towards the end of a run. From what I hear, it sounds like the Glycerin Max is more resilient and I am not a big runner.
Own them both, more v5 on 1st run hurt the knees, to soft for me and this is not great for joints in some people. G max is great and much more stable for the joints 😊
Excellent review! What is your sizing recommendation for a wide footer? How is the forefoot compared to a daily trainers like Saucony Triumph? For reference, I'm a 10.5 WIDE in Triumph or SC Elite V4 Wide, or I go Size 11 on Endorphin Pro or Superblast 2. Thanks!
@@raybaumgardner Thanks brothA, I appreciate the feedback. Just wanna make sure a 10.5 can accommodate my wide, flat feet without going through the hassle of returning/exchanging the product 😅
Bought the Brooks Glycerin Max because my NB More V5 gives me mad blisters…unfortunately The Glycerin Max does as well…main daily for me is the Superblast V2 I race in the MSEP and hit trails in the Zegama 2’s with no blistering. Why is it so hard for me to find an easy day shoe? Lol
You sure you wearing the shoe size? I recently found out US shoe sizes are pretty inconsistent. For more precise measurements, look at what it says for the EU measurement and compare with your other shoes that you don'thave issues with running or maybe just any shoe you have a perfect fit with. Also, the type of socks you wear could possibly be a factor, too.
@@gamechanger114 I wear darn tough anti chafe socks and tape up, still rocked me. I sized half up in the NB and it was just too big so I went back down to my usual, guess it doesn’t work for me, about to try the same with the Glycerin.
As always, it comes down to personal preference and what you want to use the shoe for. I’m not sure I could justify the additional $45 for the glycerin max. I have the More v.4 and have really enjoyed it. I think another great comparison would be the glycerin max and the NB Baleos, since they are the same price point.
Don't want a white shoe in anything. All black can be worn with anything. Not looking to make a fashion statement. If you can't give me an all black shoe than you're not getting my business. Thank you Brooks for making my Glycerin 21's in all black I love them...Just my take🤷🏻♂

Running currently with More v5 + Superblast 2 and I'm good with them
Two great options!
Can you guys do a comparison between Glycerin Max and Puma Magmax?

Which one is softer underfoot, especially at the heel?

Which one is more versatile?
We'd say the Glycerin Max!
G max for sure 😊

I wear the same size as you in the Triumph and the SC Elite and the 10.5 in the Glycerin Max fits great. I’ve never tried a More. Hope that helps.

Which is wider toe box?
Brooks, Nb is narrower
We would say the Glycerin Max, in this case.
fresh foam might be the worst foam on the market. it is not responsive enough.
Agree, hate my more V5, running in sand and instability because of… love my G max ❤
