My respect to anyone who takes in a pup and commits themselves to caring for that dog for life. Too many people don’t seem to understand the bond that a dog develops towards their owner. I couldn’t imagine parting with my dog. It would devastate me.
I bought an 8 weeks old Belgian Malinois from a professional breeder and she picked out the puppy for me. She breeds working line dogs for the military and police. She had to interview me to make sure I would be able and willing to take care of her pup before she made the sale. I must say, she picked out the kind of puppy I wanted. I wanted a dog with high drive, one that would make a good protection dog. And that’s exactly what I got! Now he’s one years old, and he is still in professional training, and doing well. I must admit, this is the first dog of this caliber I have ever had, and he gives me a run for the money!
Congratulations on 300 000 subscribers Robert! Way to go! Love the work you do. I have a really well behaved lab because of your videos and videos from other balanced trainers. As someone who lives in a country where e-collars and prong-collars are illegal (Sweden), your philosophy is really suited for me.
If the puppy comes from a superior bloodline where the Sire is a National champion in IGP and was going to World Championships but did not due to Covid at the time and the Sire's father won 3 National Championships and went to the World Championships and the Dam is a strong dog that comes from a Superior bloodline that was a K9 Patrol and Narcotics dog. Will all of the puppies be very good strong and smart dogs? There are 4 males and 4 females. How many out of these 8 are usually very good dogs and how many are the bottom of the litter in terms of quality? Sorry I might post this on a view of your comment sections hoping to get an answer or a few answers from experts.

I agree with you, the bond is like one of my very own children.
