A fantastic film, congrats to everyone who has taken bear and some halibut, etc.... I would love to do this some year. Even though there are black bears in my state. I loved being up in Alaska, even though it was a waterfowl hunting trip, with some salmon and off shore fishing included.
Yes Tim should do a BTS video for this EPIC once every two years type trip.

@@ElkShape agree with you bro 😎 it definitely does hit different. Even with the boggy tundra and signs of Grizzly bear 🐻 I still want to go back. Whether it’s for more fishing 🎣 and waterfowl 🦆 hunting or a moose, caribou, Blacktail or black bear 🐻 hunt. 🏹

My youngest brother & his wife live near Homer. The drive from Anchorage to Homer is one of the most scenic & beautiful 4 hour drives in America. Somehow he has not mentioned black bears to me in the time he has lived there. He has sent me pictures of moose as tall as a big rig & a grizzly bear over 10’ tall. I know this sounds like a Paul Bunion type of tale but he has the mobile phone photos to prove them.
If you do get a chance to hunt & fish the Kenai Peninsula remember two things. It rains there A LOT. My brother dug the well to his house with a shovel. Bring the best rain gear you can afford. He also said the mosquito is the unofficial state bird so bring a Thermacell. I’ve never seen so many mosquitoes as I did in AK. I’ve traveled to Southeast Asia & Mexico and not seen as many mosquitoes as I have in AK.

Congrats on the harvest! That sucks that Caje had a bad shot. Looked like it didn't get much penetration at all and bears die quick if they are hit good, so it is fine I bet. At least he did not have two rigs blow up on his birthday and then gets charged by a skunk while trying to put a stalk in on a bear like I did. LOL.

I would be interested in listening to a round table discussion on the ethics of what happens after you draw blood. If you draw blood and do not recover your animal, is your hunt over?

Dan if you ever come to Alaska again look me up, I'm really old and out of shape but I still get out there and we have some excellent bear, caribou hunting off the road system. It's over bait for bear and spot and stalk for caribou
