To all the Ukrainians fleeing to Romania, please, please, be careful of human traffiking, if you can, double check a person at the border, send a message to a trusted person about your whereabouts. There are romanian volunteers at the border that help you with prepaid internet cards. I know you're all exhausted but take a minute or two to use them first and check the social media accounts and pictures of whoever told you will take care of you. And if someone tries to take advantage of you or charge you for his service please call 112 immediately or ask someone else for help, there are tons of people willing to help, but a few rotten tomatoes that try to take advantage of you. Take care!
Dearest Denis, I presume you are well-intentioned and your concerns are genuine, however, if you have any knowledge of or involvement in the fight against human trafficking, you should let people know the very unfortunate truth - and that is that they can be trafficked from literally every single country they set foot in, including the western countries that are not at all the angelic nations the media portrays them to be. You singling out Romania is straight out wrong and you are creating a false narrative about your own (presumably) country. You can do better.
As a Ukrainian, I can tell you that most of us laughed about quality of our rails and services we can get. It was just a never-ending joke. But now I can only say how grateful I am to those outstanding people who do their best to save people and barely have time to sleep, eat, or shower. Heroes exist not only at the battlefield
We here in Poland had a difficult historical relationship with Ukrainians. But I'm proud of my nation that we said "Okay, it happened, it's in the past. Today, we are writing a new history.". And to all Ukrainians watching this: you are welcome here. Everyone is working to help, not just services. Ordinary citizens are coming to the border and driving people anywhere for free. Me, my company, my city, my local scouts, everyone have committed many resources to help Ukrainians. Because nobody should suffer from war. Nobody. Slava Ukrainie.
@ I'm not sure which "exclusionary immigration policies" you are referring to, but in the case of refugees it's obvious Poland was going to accept people fleeing a war right next to its border. As far as I know, Syria isn't bordering Poland.

meanwhile in Poland we just had major malfunction of whole train system, because railway traffic control system was broken, so 80% of train was late XD and nobody was sure if that was cyber attack or normal day on polish train company XD
@@pattheegreat 17% of Ukrainian population is ethnic Russian, yet only 5% or emigrants move towards Russia. Even worst, ethnic Russians are overrepresented areas currently contested by the Russian army. It really shows how much even Russians don't want to go to Russia!
My family fled Iraq in the 90s the same way, and know what it's like to be an exile. I mourn for the Ukrainians. There is no home on this planet. This reality is fleeting.
It must be very difficult for any refugee, regardless of where they are coming from. Thankfully, more and more countries are becoming more open to other cultures. Hope that every refugee will find their place that they could call home eventually.

Reminds me of my family who also fled war and in the 90s, being a refugee and being exiled from your home brings a loneliness in your heart because you mourn the life you once had and could have had if all that you had known wasn’t torn away. It's an unbearable thought to have to leave everything behind, including able-bodied men who are fathers, husbands, boyfriends, brothers and relatives themselves and those have to fight. I'm still safe in my own country, but it's so close.... With pandemic still causing havoc, these are certainly very "interesting" times. No such thing as planning security for months or years ahead. It makes more sense to go day by day. I've no idea what else the future has got in store.

It would be nice to hear more about the other neighbour countries like Hungary and Romania. All my respect goes to Poland because most of the help is needed in there, but as i see in my country (Hungary) most of the people (dont forget that people is not equal with the goverment) try to help as they could. For example my home village is a 100km far from the Ukrainan border and in the first days we gave home for as many familys as we could and gave them everything that they needed. We dont need to be in the focus, cause that is not the reason of our work. Im just saying the it would be nice to hear about the other helping countries too.
I guess its only because we as Poland took majority of Ukrainian refugees. You deserve all the kind words that are in vocabulary thats for sure and im also sure that the world and Ukrainian people will remember all help and hospitality you welcome them. I'm from Poland and I also don't get why all the focus of media is centered on Poland. I get that we took 2/3 of the refugees, but there is not enough recognition for other countries. For example small Moldova is now 10% Ukrainian, it's a small country and they took a lot of people relative to theirs population.
Agree, I'm from Poland and what I have seen and experienced recently has been extraordinary, but I know that not only Poland is helping. Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, too, and hardly any media talk about it. All the people who help deserve the highest respect.

Honestly, this was a nightmare and I hope it ends soon. I went out of Ukraine from Kyiv, it took me 4 days! by car and then bus to enter Poland (by flight up to 2 hours max). I don't want to think I can't come back to my city 😢 So sad that in our 21st century starting a war can be an easy thing and the whole world watching...
I'm from Moldova, over here it has been quite a struggle to support this many refugees especially compared to our population. At the very least even though most people speak romanian almost everyone knows russian to a certain degree, same thing for ukrainians, this makes communication easy. An unfortunate phenomenon is the circulation of stories of ungrateful refugees, I'm glad to say that most people realise that the vast majority of people are as thankful as they can get. Me and my family are personally hosting a family in our house and they are really nice people who really wish to not be a burden, I promise they are not.
I have a great respect for Moldova. It seems to me that comparing population rates Molodva's effort is the biggest one. BTW I have four Ukrainians at my appartment right now :)
The G7 will step in to help the neighboring countries with the refugees from my understanding so it should get better: I just hope the refugees crisis doesn't get worse
In Poland It’s a huge struggle too. I just wish more refugees would choose different bordering countries, It’s too much for us to handle. Our economic situation was in crisis in the 1st place, now It just keeps getting worse and we have no way of dealing with It
It's sad to see people leave with a big IKEA bag for 2 people and leave everything behind including their loved ones. I live in Budapest and I volunteer for the weekends. Some people got here with the story's of how they saw people stuck under chunks of cement. No one should experience these horrors

War as a concept seems like a brutal and outdated thing because using violence to solve your problems is what a kid would do in kindergarten. For me this crisis is different because it's co close to me and I have family members and friends living on the other side of the border and I talk to them on a daily basis
In my city in Germany, we are seeing more and more refugees arriving every day. I see them every day in front of the reception center by the train station and I myself have already donated money and goods. Today I saw another thing which deeply affected me: I drove past a white van with a ukrainian license plate that had the word "Children!!!" in Ukrainian and Russian written all over its back and sides. I speak a little bit Russian and it was clear to me immediately that whoever had written that, had fled from the war in that van and had been hoping that this word alone would save them from being shot at or bombarded. 😭 What thoughts must have been on their mind in that moment? What must they have gone through? 😥 I knew it before, but I can only repeat myself: this war (just like any war) is absolutely barbaric and it needs to stop right now!
What an amazing man and his team coordinating the evacuation by rail and all the people helping along the way. The darkness will never overcome the light and truth of love 🙏 praying for all the refugees from ukraine tonight and for those they have left behind. Praying for safety and protection and for all the refugees and victims of war for strength and peace and healing.
Would be nice to get an episode about all those men that are forced to stay behind, those that didn't join the army and have to survive in the country...
My friend I speak to everyday is in this exact situation, he’s hiding off in the mountains at some village so that he doesn’t have to go fight because they are forcefully recruiting men.

It's really heart breaking that even during a crisis like this, racists still find a way to dehumanize non-europeans. You'd think they would put it aside to help people evacuate. Very disappointing.
Fleeing Ukraine was a miracle for me. I needed to leave everything I built in Ukraine, I left even with no clothes. I felt the descrimination at the Ukrainian border. Thankfully Brazilian embassy did a great job to evacuate me.

This is a testimony to the amazing quality of Ukrainian Railways, the 6th in the world in length of tracks, number of lines, fensity of passengers and freight traffic, quantity of rolling stock and number of highly professional staff (more than 250,000!). This network (mostly electrified) is among the most modern in Europe, on a par with German or French ones.
I've been volunteering in my city in Germany to help the refugees arriving here, Poland has been sending a lot of people specifically to us because so many are in Poland already. They always get here after traveling for days, having everything they could comfortably carry with them. Many children, pets (which poses a whole other challenge in terms of getting to stay somewhere). Some people had many bags, some had nothing, some even ended up coming here directly from a vacation they were taking during which the war began... It's heartbreaking to see, but I'm glad that the EU has been relatively hospitable towards the people arriving here, though asylum bureaucracy is a whole other beast of its own. I volunteer specifically as a translator (I speak Russian) so I can speak to the people directly. So many stories to tell and it's all heartbreaking, but at least they now have a peaceful sky over them. I hope they all manage to find some peace and quiet once they manage to settle down, and hopefully they'll be able to go home soon.

you should really pay attention to how the country is acting towards men. Topics like: "life and rescue priority", "humiliation" and "inforced war engagement" must be revealed. With other equally devastating war conditions for everyone, men are forcibly last to be rescued (from Irpin, as officials publicly said, men could have left the continuously shelled area only as drivers for women), publicly humiliated for attempts to save their lives and are thrown at battlefield against their will and are not even allowed to flee to a safe place. Men are forced to stay in the country even if they have no any prior war action knowledge and skills.
I'm from Warsaw and I saw many Ukrainian men leaving safe Warsaw in order to fight for their own country. I have the greatest respect for them. Maybe you don't understand the spirit of Ukrainians?

@@pastelpepe it`s OK when talking to each other slowly and trying to use synonyms at attempts 2,3,N.. to deliver imformation. It`s high chance that unpopular word (or root word) to describe X in ukrainian language is the most common word in polish and vice versa.
I`m from Ukraine. And I still in Ukraine, and I will leave only if I have no other choice... Іn 25 days of war there was only 1 night without air alarm. It`s hard, but here is my home, my family, friends, memories. But in case of critical danger, it is good to know that you will have somewhere to go. It is good to know that there are countries that can help you. And I am grateful to all the countries, organizations and common people that help Ukrainians in these difficult times. You already have a second home anywhere in the EU. Freedom to settle and to work for the next three years, just show your passport. German rail does not charge you if you have a Ukrainian passport.
War highlights the brave infrastructure workers of a country. It's not just the soldiers or men who stay. It the rail workers, supermarket owner, farmers, Utility professional, etc. It take so many different kind of people to keep working for the vulnerable to flee.
I can't post and I can't talk about my personal experience yet.. but I can say this: the scary things are within the details and the problem basically is you cannot get out of the country unless you have 2000$ for each person and then the only country will take you without a visa is country that doesn't except refrigees so u will sty for long time as a visiter u can't work and u will always be scared unless you have a lot of money... that's why most of the Yemenies who flee war zoon are in camps near war zoon and they never made it to safety.
It's not just because we're not white.. it's also because we're not humans.. to the rest of the world we are a poor unknown country..so why should they care🤷🙃

I personally crossed the border on Feb 26/27, the claims of racism are untrue, it is related to the Ukrainian policy of women and children first while Ukrainian men were not allowed. Giving the appearance of racism, but they let brown and black women through the same as white women. And I met a white American who had been waiting days.
Lies. Evidence says otherwise. Indian and African women were thrown out of trains to make room for Ukrainians. Most of those students had to walk to the border, were not allowed to buy food and water from restaurants and beaten up by border guards. Even the women were not spared. Most of this is on video. Yes I agree. Arab people are a dominant force in the free palestine movement. Why? Well Palestinians are Arab and muslim, so they feel more connection then let's say the oppression of Tibetans endure by China (their opression is comparable with the Palestinians). The most hypocrital thing about this is the criticism is coming from USA which created a lot of the problems which made people flee the middle east in the first place. USA:s invasion of Iraq destabilized the region. Maybe Europe should assemble all its airplanes and send the middle eastern migrants upon arrival to their borders instead so they can take responsibility for the problems they caused. Many EU countries has no had business in the middle east, and yet Europe has taken in more migrants than USA by far and now they have the audacity to call us racists for it.
Ignore those people. Ukraine is Europe. Europe knows what is happening in Ukraine and why Russian is attacking them. Russian has been antagonizing the rest of Europe for decades and trying to undermine the peace project that is EU, by fractioning us up into smaller pieces so we can turn on each other instead of working together. Ukraine stood up against Russia. They want to join the rest of the modern, democratic Europe without wars between our countries. For that, they're now paying the price. But people of Ukraine are strong and protect their homeland. Of course the rest of Europe needs to stand up and support Ukraine. All the way from North to South, East to West. Europe has already taken in millions of people from Africa and the Middle-East for the past decades. It's time for the rest of the world to step up because our own house is on fire right now.

They are on our borders, that's how it works in all crises. Most Rohinyas are in neighbouring India and Bangladesh. Most Syrians are in countries surrounding Syria. Where else can Ukrainians go?

It's an unbearable thought to have to leave everything behind, including able-bodied men who are fathers, husbands, boyfriends, brothers and relatives themselves and those have to fight. I'm still safe in my own country, but it's so close.... With pandemic still causing havoc, these are certainly very "interesting" times. No such thing as planning security for months or years ahead. It makes more sense to go day by day. I've no idea what else the future has got in store.

It would be nice to hear more about the other neighbour countries like Hungary and Romania. All my respect goes to Poland because most of the help is needed in there, but as i see in my country (Hungary) most of the people (dont forget that people is not equal with the goverment) try to help as they could. For example my home village is a 100km far from the Ukrainan border and in the first days we gave home for as many familys as we could and gave them everything that they needed. We dont need to be in the focus, cause that is not the reason of our work. Im just saying the it would be nice to hear about the other helping countries too.

I'm from Poland and I also don't get why all the focus of media is centered on Poland. I get that we took 2/3 of the refugees, but there is not enough recognition for other countries. For example small Moldova is now 10% Ukrainian, it's a small country and they took a lot of people relative to theirs population.
Agree, I'm from Poland and what I have seen and experienced recently has been extraordinary, but I know that not only Poland is helping. Slovakia, Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary, too, and hardly any media talk about it. All the people who help deserve the highest respect.

Honestly, this was a nightmare and I hope it ends soon. I went out of Ukraine from Kyiv, it took me 4 days! by car and then bus to enter Poland (by flight up to 2 hours max). I don't want to think I can't come back to my city 😢 So sad that in our 21st century starting a war can be an easy thing and the whole world watching...

I'm from Moldova, over here it has been quite a struggle to support this many refugees especially compared to our population. At the very least even though most people speak romanian almost everyone knows russian to a certain degree, same thing for ukrainians, this makes communication easy. An unfortunate phenomenon is the circulation of stories of ungrateful refugees, I'm glad to say that most people realise that the vast majority of people are as thankful as they can get. Me and my family are personally hosting a family in our house and they are really nice people who really wish to not be a burden, I promise they are not.
I have a great respect for Moldova. It seems to me that comparing population rates Molodva's effort is the biggest one. BTW I have four Ukrainians at my appartment right now :)

In my city in Germany, we are seeing more and more refugees arriving every day. I see them every day in front of the reception center by the train station and I myself have already donated money and goods.
Today I saw another thing which deeply affected me: I drove past a white van with a ukrainian license plate that had the word "Children!!!" in Ukrainian and Russian written all over its back and sides. I speak a little bit Russian and it was clear to me immediately that whoever had written that, had fled from the war in that van and had been hoping that this word alone would save them from being shot at or bombarded. 😭 What thoughts must have been on their mind in that moment? What must they have gone through? 😥
I knew it before, but I can only repeat myself: this war (just like any war) is absolutely barbaric and it needs to stop right now!

My friend I speak to everyday is in this exact situation, he’s hiding off in the mountains at some village so that he doesn’t have to go fight because they are forcefully recruiting men.

Fleeing Ukraine was a miracle for me. I needed to leave everything I built in Ukraine, I left even with no clothes. I felt the descrimination at the Ukrainian border.
Thankfully Brazilian embassy did a great job to evacuate me.

This is a testimony to the amazing quality of Ukrainian Railways, the 6th in the world in length of tracks, number of lines, fensity of passengers and freight traffic, quantity of rolling stock and number of highly professional staff (more than 250,000!). This network (mostly electrified) is among the most modern in Europe, on a par with German or French ones.
I've been volunteering in my city in Germany to help the refugees arriving here, Poland has been sending a lot of people specifically to us because so many are in Poland already. They always get here after traveling for days, having everything they could comfortably carry with them. Many children, pets (which poses a whole other challenge in terms of getting to stay somewhere). Some people had many bags, some had nothing, some even ended up coming here directly from a vacation they were taking during which the war began... It's heartbreaking to see, but I'm glad that the EU has been relatively hospitable towards the people arriving here, though asylum bureaucracy is a whole other beast of its own.
I volunteer specifically as a translator (I speak Russian) so I can speak to the people directly. So many stories to tell and it's all heartbreaking, but at least they now have a peaceful sky over them. I hope they all manage to find some peace and quiet once they manage to settle down, and hopefully they'll be able to go home soon.

you should really pay attention to how the country is acting towards men. Topics like: "life and rescue priority", "humiliation" and "inforced war engagement" must be revealed.
With other equally devastating war conditions for everyone, men are forcibly last to be rescued (from Irpin, as officials publicly said, men could have left the continuously shelled area only as drivers for women), publicly humiliated for attempts to save their lives and are thrown at battlefield against their will and are not even allowed to flee to a safe place. I can't post and I can't talk about my personal experience yet.. but I can say this: the scary things are within the details and the problem basically is you cannot get out of the country unless you have 2000$ for each person and then the only country will take you without a visa is country that doesn't except refrigees so u will sty for long time as a visiter u can't work and u will always be scared unless you have a lot of money... that's why most of the Yemenies who flee war zoon are in camps near war zoon and they never made it to safety.

I personally crossed the border on Feb 26/27, the claims of racism are untrue, it is related to the Ukrainian policy of women and children first while Ukrainian men were not allowed. Giving the appearance of racism, but they let brown and black women through the same as white women. And I met a white American who had been waiting days.
Lies. Evidence says otherwise. Indian and African women were thrown out of trains to make room for Ukrainians. Most of those students had to walk to the border, were not allowed to buy food and water from restaurants and beaten up by border guards. Even the women were not spared. Most of this is on video. The most hypocrital thing about this is the criticism is coming from USA which created a lot of the problems which made people flee the middle east in the first place. USA:s invasion of Iraq destabilized the region. Maybe Europe should assemble all its airplanes and send the middle eastern migrants upon arrival to their borders instead so they can take responsibility for the problems they caused. Many EU countries has no had business in the middle east, and yet Europe has taken in more migrants than USA by far and now they have the audacity to call us racists for it.
Ignore those people. Ukraine is Europe. Europe knows what is happening in Ukraine and why Russian is attacking them. Russian has been antagonizing the rest of Europe for decades and trying to undermine the peace project that is EU, by fractioning us up into smaller pieces so we can turn on each other instead of working together. Ukraine stood up against Russia. They want to join the rest of the modern, democratic Europe without wars between our countries. For that, they're now paying the price. But people of Ukraine are strong and protect their homeland. Of course the rest of Europe needs to stand up and support Ukraine. All the way from North to South, East to West. @@enki1597 weren't syrians proposed political asylum in many european countries? Weren't they welcomed in Germany during the first wave? What changed is that after the arrival of Syrian men (beware, Ukrainian men cannot leave Ukraine), the criminality raised, it was dangerous to get outside for young women, because of the incompatibilities of Islam with the Western civilization, many conflicts were going on. What should have happened, is that a rich Arab country should have taken the refugees. Not the Europeans. The incompatibility of cultures is clear
