Will do William! And same, great meeting you guys. I roll through your area fairly often. I'll give you a heads up next time and see if we can get out and rip some lips! Well done in the tourney!!
Good stuff. I was nowhere near the top but watched the leaderboard changing and I thought the 3.8’s were odd. It sounds like you had a rough patch the last few days which was a little different than what I experienced. It seemed those days no one else was catching but we switched tactics and started night fishing from 6-10pm and were doing very well on the Pomps. One thing I thought was wild is that I never caught one whiting during the tournament and I fished pretty hard in November (was traveling for work all October).
Hey Neal! And thanks for your feedback! I did see your posts on Social Media about the late bite you experienced and thought that was awesome! I actually fished the sunset two of the last three evenings of the tourney but the fish just were not in my location, or I was throwing the wrong baits! Nice job out there!
@@the_forgotten_angler good deal. Bait are no secret for me. I was utilizing fresh pumped ghost shrimp. Like you said in your video, they are a great bait if you can find them! Congrats on your win and look forward to seeing you out there some day.
Maybe next tournament you could allow viewers from far away to chose, or bet on, a local participant that they think might win. That would broaden the scope of the tournament and create more interest. Weekly bag reports could keep everyone in the game. I want the Fish Gum or the Perdido guy.
@@jayjayveezy it's a great way to spend time out there! I've only been in this area for a couple of years but really enjoy my time on the sand fishing the surf. Watch as many videos from the local guys/gals that you can, there is a TON of great information out there, and it will all help you get on the fish!
@@the_forgotten_angler I moved from Michigan in 2020 walleye and perch fishing is what I’ve done my whole life, so it’s a new adventure. I’ve been watching as many videos as I can and slowly upgrading my equipment.
LLLLLAAARRRRYYYYYYY, awesome video man. They should off been really prepared for that much money on the line. I hope to see you in the spring! 🤙🏽
Thanks Alex! Appreciate you checking in and I'm sure I'll see you on the sand soon! Big time series coming from Fishbites!
Thanks for the video Larry! Congratulations again as well.
Thanks for checking in Justin! Hope it helps explain what went down...
Pleasure meeting you at the weigh in! Head on over to PCB and we will pull some fat whiting

congrats Larry!! excellent job on the tournament. I found A LOT of pompano but nothing of any good size.
much appreciated! I was lucky to find a few bigguns over a two week period. It was a great and hard fought event.

Ha! That would be fun Jim. I fish often with Perdido Blane and know Tony from Fishgum well. Two outstanding fisherman and people!
Is your 11’ Dagger the K series or the Spinning model?
Hey Jay, it's the spinning rod. It's the perfect all rounder. Thanks for checking in!
@@the_forgotten_angler Thanks for the reply, I’m new to the surf fishing game and im addicted.
