- Inspired by folk songs about wars through history, we present “Kriegsmen Don’t Waltz”.
Heavily inspired by “And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda”, it is in tribute to the Death Korps of Krieg from Warhammer 40k.
More songs are on the way!

I almost imagine some Regiment who made it out of some trench hell because Krieg was deployed with them. Seeing as Krieg does not make musicians...
I do love the idea of it being a song for kriegsmen who came and saved some very appreciative guardsmen.
I was thinking auxiliaries, perhaps an important set of vats had a major malfunction so the nearest agri-world was made to pay tithe including fresh bodies to train on Krieg. Perhaps one of them was lucky and lived to tell the tale.
I imagine it written by Kriegsmen inspired by regiments fighting beside them, that or the Kriegers asked a chap singing for a neighbouring regiment to sing for 'em. If not, perhaps civilians on a town the regiment saved without obliterating it.

Also, imagine not having or being able to value the ability to conceive of something...couldn't be me. The human thinking of it was the most important part of the process.
I like a song that doesn’t mention things like it’s being written by an outside observer, but rather from the perspective of the subject matter
It does suggest that it is probably not written by the krieg, but I do like the writer is taking on the view of a kriegsmen.
You know what? I guess there's something quite wholesome in sacrificing in the name of the Emperor. Thank you.
It is a pity that we can die but once in the Emperor's service.
the death korps of krieg just have a weird wholesomeness to them. Probably because they are innocent in the opposite way, they do not know of how good the universe could be and can be moved deeply simply by seeing a blooming flower or watching a sun rise on a blue sky.

Very nice. Great job turning the dour regiment into such a musical sensation!
Thank you very much!

@@TabletopCritters is it? Well, that makes me sad. :(

@@themisfitbrigade hey man, if it's not it still sinds very autotuned and flat, i'm sorry
Is wrong for me to want the krieg to canonically sing an inspirational song like this? Not even singing it around allies, especially other Kriegsmen.
A singing voice that makes the Emperor himself weep from the beauty of the song. Bravo sir, bravo.
Love how this is this a take of "and the band played waltzing matilda" by eric bogle.
So, I do some game streaming and I asked on my Discord page "What is the most beautiful song you have ever heard?" and this is what one of my friends chose. And, you know... it is beautiful.
✨A true masterpiece ✨
im going to do everything within my power to make sure this channel is successful
I was waiting for a song with Germanic inspiration but what an incredible and beautiful curve ball applause for you my brother.
God this song is wonderful. Its such a wonderfully somber yet folksy tone, holy shit i love it.
This fits the regiment’s spirit so well! Incredible job!
I enjoyed this quite a bit. I’m in a decent amount of imperial guard discords and I have thrown up the video in a lot of them, I hope that gets you some more traction. Keep up the great work!
Much appreciated 🥹
Bro I'm crying
As a brit fighting in Ukraine this got le in the feels
Keep up the good fight brother
I salute you, brother.
Just finished the most recent Gaunt’s Ghosts book-no Krieg, but they kinda left the same miasma of discontent.
The Krieg do not tire
I never thought folk music would fit so well for the death korps
Well they are based on ww1 and these style songs fit well.
I just randomly listen to this song on autoplay , not exactly a true 40k fans , i know a little bit of if . But fuck me , this got me teared up . This is beautiful.
This deserves more views.
The AI that made this song did a damn good job. It makes me wanna cry.
this is so good i have had it on loop for 2 hours now
Please put this on Spotify
It might not fit what Kriegers are about lore wise, but damn if it aint a nice song!
I kinda view this as something another gaurdmen would sing after serving with them.
@Nonsense010688 I could even see kriegsmen picking up the song after other regiments spent time with them and made the song for them. Also I see this as something like a bar song. I could see a regiment who grew close enough and respected enough to kriegsmen for them to off take off the masks and I could the allied regiment sing this for the kriegsmen.
Absolutely gorgeous song. Well done.
I need more of this
FOR THE EMPEROR!
This is a beautiful, beautiful song - and so honest that if you sang it in the hive cities of the Imperium, the inquisition would take you in for questioning in the name of the corpse on the throne, never to return to the land of the singing.
Get this on Spotify mate. Need this in my workout playlist.
That was amazing!! Never would have considered using the Irish folk style for krieg but it really worked!
It's a pretty calm song, but it has its own charm.😊
Fucking beautiful man. don't laugh but I cried
love it
Thats ridiculous, amazing job 😂
Now that ive heard this. I need a tanith ballad
To offer some critique. The first half (especially the first stanza) was amazing. I am not saying the song isn’t good, it is fantastic. I would just say it was a bit awkward towards the end as it turned into a bit of an epic rather than a folk song, also the lack of a chorus. Other than that it was An amazing song and something that is missing from the majority of 40k stories. Humanity.
the reason for most of these is because they used ai specifically a ai called suno, its kinda obvious if you hear the guitar in some parts sound a little off as well as the ai used likes to add a effect to the voice to make it sound like multiple people are singing
@victorchaparr0350 it also sounds like it was supposed to be two different songs but they were sewn together well enough for it to work as one song. The voice also has a particular distortion to it that makes it even more obvious. The guitar also sounds out of tune in some particular places.
Noice!
Got to wonder how many guardsman owe their lives because the Krieg throw themselves at the most difficult and lost battles?
Which is kind of sad to think given how krieg views themselves. They are heros of imperium, but to themselves, they are nothing more than the bastard sons of traitors. Kriegsmen are some of the imperium finest.
we need an actual person to sing this
🤨
i think it might be auto tune not ai
@@caseyjasey4446 doubt it but it's possible
Not everything you hate was made by a machine, just because it's fashionable to think so.
@@prestonjones1653 i can have my preferences tho cant i ? i just prefer a more naturally sounded voice
I don't get it. Thed Kriegsmen often let the artillery waltz.
It's a really good song, but it feels a little strange composed as an Irish(?) folk song. Der Kriegsman ist ein Deutschelander!
The Death Korps is based on pretty much every European nation that fought in WW1, primarily taking visual design from the French and British. Tactics, weapons, and language are more so Germany/Prussia. We felt that basing this on Irish and Australian Folk music would also bring more familiarity, considering that “Warhammer 40k” originates in the UK and is also very popular in Australia.
@@themisfitbrigade , that makes sense. Maybe a German metal song for Kriegsmen later on? Rammstein convinced me German is the perfect language for heavy metal 😋.
Is this Suno AI?
This is so much better than most music being put out today and to think it has to do with a tabletop game.
Was this done by AI?
Obviously.
