Kinda reminds me of eric bogle's work. In particular "and the band played waltzing matilda" or "the green fields of france/no man's land". Both really powerful folk songs about ww1
This is one great and unexpected side of how to view the krieg.. they may be zealous but this shows their true devotion.. i wonder .. do you also plan to do some of the other Guard planets? like the Armageddon Steel Legion? Catachan Jungle Fighters? Valhallans? Tallarn? Vostroyans? :D
I love the Krieg songs, for some reason when it’s about Krieg it hits harder emotionally.

The other is inspired those songs, this one is specifically supposed to be a 40k version of “And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda”.
