Absolute informative!!! I wish all mechanics use the "X" pattern when they tight screws and bolts but they usually don't!! I have a torque key but used it just once. It's the feeling you get from the screw/bolt as you said!!!
Am I correct in assuming this is a PARTIAL flush and not a FULL flush ? Great video by the way. But I gotta tell ya , I’m never getting a CVT again. Plan on selling this and getting a used RAV4 with the standard transmission. Way easier to maintain.
If i can add something it will be to buy the Oring for the filter. The new filter didnt come with a new one.. I used the one it had because it did not feel bad. Usually they will get hard and break.. So order a new one also. Better seal..
Make sure you put the right zipcode.. You can also ask the dealer for the part number...for your exact vehicle.. In this website I use .. I order the part andi can choose to pick it up at dealer or you can have it deliver at home... OEM toyot
@@CHR... thank you you are doing a great job. Record very high quality videos. And you explain everything in detail. this is very cool thank you very much.
@@CHR... Thanks for fast reply. Do you think that transmission fluid should be changed on hybrid version of CHR? Bought it new, now it's around at 21.000 miles.
@Peacebringer i found this information... The question was. Do hybrid chrs have CVT transmissions? Yes, Hydrid CHR has a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Toyota Motor Corporation has developed a new CVT featuring a launch gear, 6-speed manual transmission, 2.0-liter engine with 40% thermal efficiency (41% in hybrid applications), and 4WD systems based on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA). The power split device also allows the car to operate like a series hybrid.0...... Now this is my ⬇️ personal opinion... If is has a CVT transmission like mine.. Im thinking the trans oil should be change.... My idea to really find out would be to call the dealer and ask them when is it recommended for you to change the transmission oil.. If they give you a certain amount of miles or they tell you yes you need to change it after sometime then i guess oil changes on hybrids cvts need to be constant depending on your use or your desire to keep the car running smooth
I'm thinking.. They dont want to. They dont know it needs to be change, assuming is your corner shop not the dealer. Shops not being aware of how to maintenance cars properly is not uncommon. The shops job is to give you a price that you accept and be gone as soon as possible.. Something else happening ¿ Bring it back to the shop they will tell you how much more money you need to give them.. Most of the shops will find anything to charge you , they will go for the easiest job to get you out fast. So what I mean to say is only you can care for your vehicle properly, only you can do the research about your vehicle's maintenance and maybe share it with your shop, maybe ask them to do the job you require them to do if you really trust them.. No shop cares about you or your car. Rough truth,.. Constant oil changes and filter replacements are the best to do to any engine.. I'm about to reach my 120,000 miles and about to do my 4th Transmission oil change including filter.. Just do your research so when you go to the shop you know what you need and listen to what they are trying to sell you

@Christoph Gallo u sure is not the brake pads scraping the disks... Or yea a bearing.. I replaced the right side of mine because it went bad at 70kmiles, I do think I hit a hole or side of a rode for my bearing to go bad.. But I replaced it and it felt so much better. When I replaced the right side bearing I was able to feel how bad the left side stabilizer bar, inner tie rods, outer tie rods , lower ball joint is definitely gone because on the right side it was lose and possibly the bearing as well is starting to give. I order all already because I'm planning on replacing the left wheel bearing and stuff on the way.. The Chr is easy Lego to work on specially the suspension... I will try to submit a video for this .. Includes removing brake pads plus braket , disk, cv joint bolt, lower ball joint I have it new , stabilize bar, moving wheel speed sensor to the side, brake caliper hanging, installing all back...
No, if u put something in there it might get stuck and you won't be able to pull it out and that will cause a bigger problem.. If you do take it out this way make sure to put back the same amount of oil you take out..

The yellow stick is the gauge used when refilling the fluid. CVT fluid temperature needs to be at a certain temperature and the level checked again.

Love the step by step Thank you for sharing
When refilling you should also add approximately 50 ml of additional fluid to compensate for the new filter you installed
