I downloaded the millenium dawn mod from the website, but the file doesn't include just two number files like yours. It has common, events, gfx, history etc.. When I put it into the mod and 21990 folders it doesn't appear in the launcher. Got a fix?

good tut. one tip though: you can start the game with the launcher (dowser), for that to happen you have to edit the "launcher-settings.json" file in the game folder and change: "distPlatform": "steam", to: "distPlatform": "pdx",

Finally it works !!!
Tip : you have never created any "playsets" when you are on the dowser menu you Will not see "playsets" on the left.
You must go to home and in the button where you select the playset you click on "add New playset".
Do that and it Will work, i have done it myself.

Hi. I did like everything and actually managed to add the mod to the Playset but when I turn on the game it still the Vanilla version.

Thanks for the tutorial man! But still even after doing everything, I have an issue. After putting the mods and enabling them, picking the playset I want (the modded one) and then click play button (or just go in the game normally without the launcher) I just get into vanilla HOI4 without any mods. Compatibility shouldn't be an issue since there are mods that are compatible with the newest version of the game. How to fix this?

the dowser doesn't want to iniciate, what can i do? the windows show me this text when i try opent it:
"this installation package cannot be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid package for the Windows installer"
i installed the game in fitgirl's site, btw
Try the game from steamunlocked
And make sure no other dowser or the original paradox launcher is installed

I did this, i launch the game, everything seems normal but after an error pops out "Some errors are present in map deffition and have been loged to error.txt"

I have problems with 2 mods i can run Great War Redux but i haven't got planes, tanks and equipment in research tree so i installed GWR Powder Keg, run it and after few seconds it crashed or i can run mod Empire but when i get peace confederence as Otoman in 1699, game crash i have problem only in this 2 mods otherwise i can run Road to 56, Millennium Dawn, Endsieg perfectly

Make sure u add the mods to both "mod" and "workshop" folders
Then create a playset the mod will appear there

I have HOI4 1.12.14 (By Blood Alone) and I don't see the mods I downloaded. I copied into workshop but nothing showed up. The launcher version for me is 2022.12 and yours is newer. Does it have to do with the version of the launcher?

hi, thanks for the guide. But I am having some trouble adding mods to the playset.
I've copied the the folder and the .mod file into both the mod folder and the 281990 one. but I a go to add thhe mod to the playst, it doesnt show up saying that I dont have any mods installed. It's not a specific problem with this mod, as I have this problem with multiple ones.

I had a problem with dowser, i just uninstall the game and install the game again, but I deleted the file (the file creates itself everytime you install the game) "Paradox Interactive" before executing anything(:
I did everything that is said in the video with the Millenium Dawn mod but when I launch the dowser and I create a playset the mod does not appear. I didn't install the Hoi4 crack on fitgirl, maybe that explains the problem ?
Make sure you have both mod files in the "mod" folder its case sensitive
If this didnt work then i guess its because u have different files than me since u haven't downloaded it from fitgirl

i did everything like you said but when i boot up the game doesn't register the mods, it boots up normally, in 1936 (i installed the ww1 mod) later i played a game with the playset still active and when i deactivated it and came back to that game it said that the mod was missing, so the game registers the mod but it doesn't activate?

What if my dowser just doesn't work??? All of a sudden whenever I clicked on dowser, nothing happened, it just stopped opening out of nowhere.

I press add mods and it shows a screen in which it says no additional installed mods. All your currently installed mods are already included in this playset. You can browse for more mods usinh buton bellow. There are 3 buttons. Cancel - takes me back to page before. Browse more mods, which sends me to a website to broese for more mods. And "add to playset" which is gray and i can't click it, because then i click it nothing happens. Then i launch the game obvioulsy no mods are applied. Any fix to this issue?

These folders you metioned should be inside the original mod folder that needed to be copied
So copy and paste the file that contains these files (common , events.....
