I understand that they were influenced by others ( just like everyone else) but they are, without question, the most influential rock/pop band in history, and always will be.
Although it is a cover I love this version especially the part where it says "I love You when you are happy" is so beautiful, it has that magic of the early days
This is fantastic! I grew up in Liverpool and was only 5 when The Beatles exploded into life. It was brilliant growing up there, my elder siblings were buying Beatles records and there was a buzz about the city. Even at that age, their music and persona had a profound effect on me. I've heard a few versions of this song, all of them good, but I've never heard this version before!
does it make me weird that my favorite beatles songs are this one (yes I know it's a cover, but it's so good), cry for a shadow, the bad to me demo, and the other ones most people probably haven't ever heard of, and which were never officially released? I mean, I love the studio albums of course, but I feel like there's this WHOLE world of Beatles that most people know nothing about.
You said it best. Those old dusty classics that seem to never get played except for every once in a blue moon. Soldier of love is one of those one's like you mentioned, they never get played enough, but always seem to become one of your favorites from the group.
@@SeamHead33 As a guitar player I would be interested in just what do you mean? The radical change in music was in the 50's. The Beatles continued the trend albeit making a definite contribution as did The Yardbirds.

How lucky were we in the 60's. As a boy growing up I never realised the significance. None of us did. Not even the Beatles, I suppose. Think about the amazing talent just to take the following examples, 4 songwriters in those years Lennon/McCartney; Jagger/Richards, AT THE SAME TIME, gave the world a bright new future. Mesmerising. Never to be repeated. The Beatles were a one off. Stones still perform today with much the same line up. Sad about John and George.

I can imagine they didn’t release it cause it wasn’t there sound or what they wanted people to think there style was gonna be, but DAMM... a secret gem.
It's not an original Lennon/McCartney song but a cover... The Crickets 1962 single wrote by Gerry Goffin/Carole King. This cover was a live performance at the BBC (First official release in 1994 on "The Beatles - Live At The BBC") :)
This great song by the Crickets has always been in my fav top 10 songs but here we have the fab 4 matching it effortlessly. They really are the greatest and i count myself lucky to have witnessed the birth of the Beatles in the early 60's.
I remember hearing Ringo saying "John taught me how to sing". Did John teach George, too? Regardless, George is killing the lower harmony and this is awesome af
When I first got The Beatles Live At The BBC when it came out, I really didn’t think it was that much of an album, but I’m glad I kept it because of songs like Don’t Ever Change. They really show a different side of the Beatles that was never on their original albums.
A brilliant version of a brilliant song. The Beatles had the ability to keep a cover of a song respectful and befitting of the original, while also making it entirely their own. The Crickets' version is superb too, of course.
What a fun, fabulous video!! I just visited your Facebook page -- it's stellar! Thank you for the work you put into your vids!! I have never heard this song -- how is that possible? Was it recorded after they split up? Thank you very much! :-) Cheri
"Dont you ever change" was a hit for the Crickets. The Crickets did a few Beatles songs as well. Paul McCartney is probably the greatest Buddy Holly and The Crickets fan?
wow paul and george harmonising, - their voices with John's as well -of course -as one can hear on Don't let me down, Because, etc.later on -do sound so f***ing good together!
I'm still tying to live in a world without them. John and George made it a point to belittle the band in post-Beatle years. They couldn't have been more wrong.
In a thousand years, people will still be listening and loving The Beatles ❤
I totally agree!
In that period of time, the truth about "Sir Paul" will hopefully have gotten out.
I always want to cry when I hear George and Paul singing harmony and I don't know why. it's overwhelming :)
It's great to be overcome by lovely harmony! Each time I listen to Here Comes the Sun, I weep. Love George. Listen to Ringo's work on that! Complex!
Same here! Two Beautiful Men with Beautiful Souls, sang from the heart :)

I'm a big fan of a lot of the Pete Best Beatle's songs.

Paul n George had a special bond from time they were kids it appears, nothin better than that blessing

There were The Beatles....and then there was everyone else.
Yup. They changed music. There is music before The Beatles and music after The Beatles
