Just to recap, here are the things that you should avoid doing:
- Using thick dark lines for planning
- Drawing every sub-fall individually
- Drawing lines unevenly up and over the edge
- Using one shade of pencil, one pressure and one technique for the whole thing
- No real contrast
- No difference in value in areas of the fall or in rocks
- Smudging the pencil out to blend it with your finger or a tissue
- Not getting the perspective right
