I know this might be a weird question to ask, but how would you paint those trees in a night setting? as in like, the moon not shining through them, but just the borders. The reason why I ask is because I grasp the lighting enough, but most references that I find are pitch black trees.

Absolutely AMAZING ! Finding that your paints are not dulling ! I use liquitex and omg its a nightmare for the dullness ! Is that maybe because im using water ? I see you are kind of impasto painting ? Are you not using no medium ? And i too drop paintbrushes 😂 Inconveniencing on the face usually A big splat on the eyes 🤦‍♀️ But this is so stunning Well done

Thank you so much for this video! As someone who is learning to paint (watercolor) from the University of RUclips, I've had a hard time finding the help I need with my trees. Almost all tree tutorials address leaves or bark. I badly needed someone to articulate with words and demonstrate how to create more natural looking tree trunks and branches.

I tried this on a wooden box I was looking to paint using acrylics because painting on the wood. However, after adding two layers of medium gloss and gesso, the surface was still very rough and the wooden lines were very apparent. Would you have any advice?
