I love that your husband is with you in your plant hobby/passion/joy (I couldn’t decide which word fit best, so I used them all 😆)! Most of those are pretty decent prices for plants! I wish my local Home Depot had such a big selection!
First of your hair looks AMAZING! 😍 Monstera Peru is a favorite of mine. I have the regular one and the variegated. These two will look so good in your new home. Would be really fun with a plant tour to see where you have placed all the plants 🥰
Lol a big box store plant visit in southern Maryland would be muuuuch shorter. Of course nothing outside in January. Then 1, maybe 2 short aisles inside and, 20 golden Pothos later, you’re done!
Good scores! And yes, Home Depot is notorious for glued-in plants or glued on plastic flowers -😣 On a separate note, I've found my polka dot plant did really well in cactus mix and and being chopped back really far after it bloomed. Would come back bigger and better each time.
Hi, definitely repot it and save it from its captivity! They do this at big box stores it irks me! Not only do they do this, to so many plants, they also paint them, or stick fake flowers on them. That being said, best of luck with your new find.💚💚💚🤗
I think that was the best price i’ve ever seen on those trees! kinda wishing I had gotten one 😅 thx for watching!! I really hope to visit Australia some day 🤩💜💜
Home depot really does have some steals! I got a false aralia and a teardrop peperomia just yesterday for super cheap, and they have some cute pots for 5 bucks or less (less than 2 bucks for some of the plastic pots!!)
Sorry but I am happy that you didn't check the Euphorbia first...because you will sure come up with some idea to recover it and it will be fun and interesting to watch 🤓😅 Thanks for sharing!
What a full home depot with some really good plants! That monstera peru is a find! Still haven't found one up here in the Bay Area but I'd totally snag that branching fiddle for $30!
So exciting to be able to plant shop in your new area! 🪴Thank you for showing some of the outdoor plants - I am envious of all the things you can grow! (My 'Spiders Web' fatsia is too young to bloom, but it is hanging on here, and made it through single digits with protection!) Our Lowes in NC had PPP on the last shipment, so the big box stores have really been stepping up.
I love my Monstera Peru! And yours is gorgeous! I'm obsessed with the texture of the leaves. Mine loves bright light and climbing makes the leaves huge. Warning: if you try to propagate, the roots take f o r e v e r for some reason!
Welcome to socal! Now you get to check out unsolicited plants talks nursery, and Nelson’s greenhouse, and the open houses at Andy’s orchids. And Mickey Hargitays. Actually the list won’t even fit in the comments, but welcome there is so much planty stuff in socal.
Greetings 💜 I have been binge watching your channel and I love it. I also have a collection of plants 🪴. You are an inspiration. I like the pink cactus looking plant you picked up. It looks like something from another planet. 🪐 Maybe I can find one also at Home Depot. 🤔 Good Day 🧘🏾♀️💜🧘🏾♀️
Wow Californian Home Depots are WAYYY better than the one we have in Dallas TX. My local home depots don't get a lot of things from Costa farms and their generic plants often look beat up and because the Vining plants are cut back, the remaining nodes are damaged
I don't know about the rest of you, but my experience with buying large plants is that the big ones usually die when you take them home. Buy smaller size and watch it grow .
Loving your husband’s vibe with you. I’m so excited I’ve found your channel. What’s your plan? Do you upload one video a week or do you just randomly upload? I have my notifications on but just thought I’d ask ❤❤❤
Now that you are in Southern Cal, I wonder if you are near a Green Thumb Nursery. They are the best. Two locations: Santa Clarita and Canoga Park. Hope you are close enough to check it out.
Ooh thanks so much for the recommendation Elizabeth, I’ll have to check them out!💜💜 Now that i’ve got a car i’m hoping to start visiting a lot more nurseries this year 😊🌱✨
I got two mermaid tails for around $12 in a LA area Home Depot. I repotted them right away and they were fine. Got them around October of last year and they’re doing fine. Also tons of fake moss under those glued rocks >.>
Great finds!! I saw some cylindrica in one of those glued-in situations and it’s so weird. I’ll see what I can find at one of the Home Depots near me today, they usually don’t have much different than the norm. I have yet to see a hoya or a trending tropical at a home depot or lowes.
I've pried the rocks off before & the plant was fine. However, you'll still have the problem of no drainage, although you can drill a hole of course. I wish the Home Depot & Lowes in our area (S. Oregon) had a selection of plants like that- we get a lot of elephant bush & pothos Lol.
I almost got a Monstera Peru from our local HD in TX but I'm saying no to plant buying this month. It's been so hard to tell myself nooo, lol. You skipped the variegated rubber plant, they're so pretty. Congrats again to being a home owner!!!
Honestly I'm kinda envious that you live in a warmer climate now 😆 I live in England, and it's colder here (Especially with the weather freaking out this year), and I'd love to place some of my indoor succulents outside permanently (Like my Crassula Ovata Umbulata) but it gets so cold here, and with the UK being the windiest area of the planet, it makes me abit skeptical to take my indoor plants outdoors even during the summer.
i think it’s because it makes it easier for the sellers to deal with them… succulents/cacti in little pots tend to be pretty top-heavy with relatively weak root systems, so i think it just helps them not fall out of the pot or move around during transport. but it definitely makes them harder to care for later 😫
I have a Mermaid Tail like what you bought, and my greatest advice is to not overwater it!!! Treat it like a cactus or Sansevieria and only water it like once a month or every six weeks. Definitely, free it from the glue!! I also have a Cactus Mermaids Tail that is sooo cool! It flowers in the winter!! It’s real name is a Crested Senecio Vitalis. Look it up - it’s my most expensive plant (cactus) and I adore it!!! Thank you for sharing!💜💚🪴🌵

i feel like such a lucky lady ☺️💜💜
hobby passion joy all of the above!🤩💫✨ i hope your home depot gets some good stuff this year!
“burnt toast space girlfriend” is such a vibe lol 🌟 thx for watching :)))
“Should I wash this upside down?”
“No, stick to the plan”
“Lets try it” 😂

They do take forever! But I recently got a heat mat for plants and it helped SO much!!! The roots went crazy.
@@NatTayHill ooh good tip!!

Damit now I want to go to home depot 🪴🪴 🛒 🏃♀️ 😂lol congrats on the new 🏡 home
Hiiiii..... so excited for this video such a pretty peru and cactus! Have an amazing week!💚💚💚
thank you lovely!!😊💜same to you!🌱✨
Monstera peru - let it dry out between waterings, and it does really well in loose "forest floor" type mix.

It’s practically spring already here in south Texas, but this video has me so excited for spring planting 😍

Great Tour… where did you buy the glasses. Thanks
Love your Videos, all of them!!! 😁
✨yay thanks so much for watching!!😊💜💜💜
I had to add another I love your videos! 💚
Thanks so much Emily! 🥰💜💗🌱✨
I saw those glued on rocks immediately and I was surprised you were interested haha
And that Peru is amazing, I want one too
Hey, lovely video, liked both plants you got. Thanks for sharing and good luck with them. Why did you wash them? Is it because of pests?
Hello from Puerto Rico!!! First timer on your channel and just subscribed. My channel is in spanish. Thanks for the tour. 🙋🏼♀️🪴
I have one and just add a little water and it’s still alive. Also a have a Peru doing well.
KAITLYN WHERED YOU GET THOSE PANTS?! SO CUTE
Hiiiiiii, I've been waiting for you.
thanks for waiting Shannel 🥰💜💜
The home Depot and Lowes near me never sell Hoya. Unless they are constantly sold out. 🤔
I have yet to visit Home Depot. Lowe's is up the street from my house. I will go to Home Depot this week.
Oh fun! I hope you find something awesome!! 🌱✨
I was so tempted to get that euphoria at my HD, but I didn't realize the drainage hole and rock issues!!
Your hair 😍😍
I have no luck with Palms. What type of palm do you have luck growing?
Those philodendrons at 2:20 just arrived at my Home Depot in NY and they're only $10. Problem is that they have thrips already...
I brought a plant where they glued the rocks. I was sooo mad 😂😂🤦🏾♀️
God! I went yesterday to my local Home Depot (and Lowes) and there were about 20 half dead plants. :/
Honestly I'm kinda envious that you live in a warmer climate now 😆

I put my succulents out in spring-autumn and they do absolutely amazing. I'm in Cambridge
@@MsRainingDays Oh, really? What's the temperature like in Cambridge? I live in Wolverhampton and it usually snows in spring.
@@sandy_carpetsthesecond5013 oh it almost never snows here. Except for the crazy cold snaps. I think we're the dryest place in UK which helps
Hi! Which Home Depot was this one? Thank you!
ok but that variegated banana tho!
I had a feeling those rocks would be glued in 😖
ahh wish i had your instincts lol 😅💜✨☺️
Why exactly do they glue stuff wouldn't that just hurt the plant?
i think it’s because it makes it easier for the sellers to deal with them… succulents/cacti in little pots tend to be pretty top-heavy with relatively weak root systems, so i think it just helps them not fall out of the pot or move around during transport. but it definitely makes them harder to care for later 😫
Wait, this is Home Depot? Dang, so my Home Depot is just lacking?
I feel like im getting a bit dizzy with this lens. I wish you would have used a different one. other than that I enjoy the content
