I gave my cousin a stunning monstera for her 30th as she had always wanted one. She sends me photos of it every time it grows a new leaf because she is so proud. She has definitely caught the plant bug and has grown her collection since, with some help from me of course!!
I had a friend who made swords for a hobby. I gifted him a Dracaena trifasciata that was 3 feet tall. He grew it along the wall where he had his swords displayed.
I always gift Hoya Carnosa “Princess” because it’s my favorite and so easy too.
That’s a great one! So beautiful 🥰 The inner variegation is easier to keep looking nice than the white margins on the Queen, which can sometimes brown on the tips in my experience. Thanks for sharing!😄💜💕✨🌱 have a lovely week💜
Thank you. I hope you have a wonderful week as well
some plants that my non-planty family has been able to keep alive is the common hedera ivy and the zz plant :P
apart from that so far, the rest of my plants are under my care
edit: what a kind and supportive husband, love that sm :D
Ivy is super great for non planty people! It’s such a vigorous grower as long as it’s not in the dark. It has that enchanted forest feel as well, which is so lovely 🥰✨🌱
Thanks for sharing that!! Have a wonderful week 😊💜
Holy hell your Home Depot is amazing. Mine is sad is filled with spider mites 😂
I absolutely love Tradescantia. Especially if you hang it below a light and look up at it. The violet color is amazing. Something about purpl/ violet in nature.....
Your man is a sweetheart. Great video. I normally gift pothos.
Your eyelashes are so good 💯 thanks for taking us along. I enjoyed seeing all the pretty plants. But seeing your gorgeous, precious doggie at the end of the video was the best...so cute💐
Holy smokes! Ficus Alii is one of my dream plants! I just love the shape of the leaves and how it looks. I hope my Home Depot gets one and I can keep it alive. Usually they slowly drop all their leaves when I bring them home. 😂
Ah this is my first time with a big one of the Aliis! I really hope it doesn’t drop tons of leaves… but it probably will since this one is pretty full. Hopefully my bright indirect light west windows will be sufficient for it! Keeping my fingers crossed that you find an awesome one soon too🤞😄💜🌿✨
I normally just give a card with some flower seeds or i give props of my pothos or brazils or spider plants babies!
26:38 that is a Peperomia Piccolo Banda!! Last year I was looking for one for so long, eventually I found a really cheap one! Can't believe they're not so popular, they deserve more appreciation ❤
Thank you for the ID!🧚💜✨ I’m happy you found a good cheap one!!😊 The leaves are really so beautiful, thanks for sharing your appreciation😁🌿✨
Have a wonderful week!💕
Take your ficus outside, I have 12 varieties of ficus. They all live outside on the north side of my house, year round. They'll be so happy. I also have Japanese maples in the same area, and they do wonderful. Just don't forget to water them, especially in summer. I know they'll love it. I live in the same area as you, so I know they'll do fine ❤
I love my triangularis! Wow, your Burkin is stunning.
I think orchids are one of the most common gifts, but unfortunately not everyone puts the effort to do some research on how to care for them. Once i gifted an orchid to my mom and she killed it pretty soon😅 thanks for the video, i absolutely love your aesthetics, one of the few planty youtubers i enjoy watching 💛 have an amazing day!!
Thank youu🥰
Yeah that’s true about orchids, they make beautiful gifts! But then most non planty people toss them when the flowers fall off…there was this lady who used to frequently shop at one of the stores I worked in and she would keep buying new phal orchids when the flowers on her old ones died and would complain about how she had to keep throwing them away 😭 she just didn’t care to try keeping them as leafy plants between the bloom cycles
I think lucky bamboo plants and any kind of succulent
💚
I have a Peperomia japonica gifted to me (a casual plant owner) by a non-plant friend and it quickly became one of my favourites in my small collection! It's exploded with fresh spring growth and the stems are easy to propagate too. Ironically enough I have a handful of flourishing Calatheas but I managed to kill a ZZ Plant D: I think it just wasn't super healthy to begin with (my mum found it for me in a clearance section of a Canadian Tire) and ended up with rotting stems. Someday I will try again! Thanks for the info, I've added a few to my list :)
The two Andraeanums producing berries at 18:30 made me GASP
That ficus is BEAUTIFUL! I'll have to keep an eye out for one for myself. I am ficus obsessed!
Thank you I agree! I hope you find the perfect one!! 😄💜🌱✨ have a lovely week🌿
Love my ponytail palm! Good gift for sure! Grow fast no special care statement for sure! I found a vintage pot at the thrift says i love you mom with a bird. Small tho definitely succulent or mini cactus something
So helpful-especially right before my towns annual garden fair!
Hooray! I’m so glad this is helpful 😊💕✨ thanks for watching! Enjoy the garden fair 💜🌱✨🌿
Hello! The ZZ plant at the store had the branches taped together in the middle. Would you cut the tape or leave it? I enjoy your content. I always learn from you. Thanks!
Love that ficus Alii! And awesome with the plant suprise😊 thanks for sharing!🪴💚
Yay!! Thanks for watching! Have a wonderful week🥰💜🌿💕✨
💚💚💚❣️
Forgive me but when you walked towards the ficus triangles, I audibly gasped and said "oh no not again!"
28:20 I think that’s a White Wizard… But the big box stores always mislabel their variegated white Philodendron types. 😂
26:46 For the peperomia lovers, I think that's peperomia piccolo banda
Thanks so much!!😊💜✨🌱⚡️
My triangularis dropped all its leaves but has started to regrow… so I am slightly hopeful 😂 I have only given my son a rooted cutting of my fig tree and now his is bigger then mine..
Your son must have a great green thumb 😁 I’m keeping my fingers crossed for both of our triangularis now 😅💜💜💜 have a lovely week!🌿🌱💕✨
Hey ~ My mother got some sad Monstera Deliciousa cuttings I didn't bother caring for (I have about 50 cuttings from a huge one I cut up last year) and she loves them. She has around ten Monsteras now living in her livingroom. Luckly she does not fequently fertilise and some of them are in quite low light conditions so I have hopes they aren't getting too unruly too soon. I also gave a healthy small Monstera to my sister but I think it does not exist anymore. I am afraid to ask. She travels alot, moved to a different place and has no clue about plants. Her taste in plants gravitates towards difficult and frequently moist, but her lifestyle screams snake plant in a dark corner. So I do not expect to see any plants surviving in her care 😂
HHAHAha this is so funny!! “her taste in plants gravitates towards difficult and frequently moist, but her lifestyle screams snake plant in a dark corner” 😭😭 poetry✨✨
I’m am SO glad to hear your mom loves the monstera, I feel redemption vicariously through you lolol 😂 50 cuttings is amazing haha wowza!! Thanks so much for sharing about your family’s plants 😄💜🌿🌱✨ have a wonderful week!💕
Can I buy a cutting ???!
Hii! Ohh, the same way you keep buying ficus triangularis, I buy myrtle....I had a dream of forming it into a big lush ball, but somehow they keep dying on me. One died after a few years and one died after a few weeks. Other attempts are in between :) I can't figure out their care...I hope that your ficus triangularis trees live and shine in all their glory 🌿
💜💚💜
Does the whole bromeliad plant die or just the colorful part??
My snake plant isn't full any suggestions on making it fuller?
Kaitlyn please help! My monstera is floppy now and it was all perky. I was thinking of just getting another one. Any ideas.
What are the plants in amongst the peperomia around the 26:49 mark? I do not recognise them.
My grandma loved her string of pearls and string of hearts
Hello and How are you friends me Together Together Atef Pasha and Happy Easter 🍉🍏🍎🎄🎂🍰🌵🍌🌸
Why would you gift someone a plant when you know that the person is not into plants? Makes no sense.
Maybe they’re not into plants…YET 😁 I’m not saying to get plants for people who already know they dislike having them
