I gave my cousin a stunning monstera for her 30th as she had always wanted one. She sends me photos of it every time it grows a new leaf because she is so proud. She has definitely caught the plant bug and has grown her collection since, with some help from me of course!!

The plant that looked like a pine is actually a juniper bonsai it might actually be growing in there. I love your videos by the way you are always so friendly and happy in them.

Your eyelashes are so good 💯 thanks for taking us along. I enjoyed seeing all the pretty plants. But seeing your gorgeous, precious doggie at the end of the video was the best...so cute💐

That’s a great one! So beautiful 🥰 The inner variegation is easier to keep looking nice than the white margins on the Queen, which can sometimes brown on the tips in my experience. Thanks for sharing!😄💜💕✨🌱 have a lovely week💜

I absolutely love Tradescantia. Especially if you hang it below a light and look up at it. The violet color is amazing. Something about purpl/ violet in nature.....

some plants that my non-planty family has been able to keep alive is the common hedera ivy and the zz plant :P
apart from that so far, the rest of my plants are under my care
edit: what a kind and supportive husband, love that sm :D

Ivy is super great for non planty people! It’s such a vigorous grower as long as it’s not in the dark. It has that enchanted forest feel as well, which is so lovely 🥰✨🌱
Thanks for sharing that!! Have a wonderful week 😊💜

I had a friend who made swords for a hobby. I gifted him a Dracaena trifasciata that was 3 feet tall. He grew it along the wall where he had his swords displayed.

I wish my local Home Depot had a selection like this. The Birken is one of my top least favorite plants. If I were giving a gift plant, it would probably be a pothos variety. I especially like the Mannula and Global Green. If I were to be receiving a gift plant I would love a H. Wilbur Graves (not likely to happen, sigh) or unusual Staghorn fern.

I have a Peperomia japonica gifted to me (a casual plant owner) by a non-plant friend and it quickly became one of my favourites in my small collection! It's exploded with fresh spring growth and the stems are easy to propagate too. Ironically enough I have a handful of flourishing Calatheas but I managed to kill a ZZ Plant D: I think it just wasn't super healthy to begin with (my mum found it for me in a clearance section of a Canadian Tire) and ended up with rotting stems. Someday I will try again! Thanks for the info, I've added a few to my list :)

Holy smokes! Ficus Alii is one of my dream plants! I just love the shape of the leaves and how it looks. I hope my Home Depot gets one and I can keep it alive. Usually they slowly drop all their leaves when I bring them home. 😂

    • @reallybigplant
      @reallybigplant  7 месяцев назад +2

Ah this is my first time with a big one of the Aliis! I really hope it doesn’t drop tons of leaves… but it probably will since this one is pretty full. Hopefully my bright indirect light west windows will be sufficient for it! Keeping my fingers crossed that you find an awesome one soon too🤞😄💜🌿✨

I think orchids are one of the most common gifts, but unfortunately not everyone puts the effort to do some research on how to care for them. Once i gifted an orchid to my mom and she killed it pretty soon😅 thanks for the video, i absolutely love your aesthetics, one of the few planty youtubers i enjoy watching 💛 have an amazing day!!

      Thank youu🥰
Yeah that’s true about orchids, they make beautiful gifts! But then most non planty people toss them when the flowers fall off…there was this lady who used to frequently shop at one of the stores I worked in and she would keep buying new phal orchids when the flowers on her old ones died and would complain about how she had to keep throwing them away 😭 she just didn’t care to try keeping them as leafy plants between the bloom cycles

Take your ficus outside, I have 12 varieties of ficus. They all live outside on the north side of my house, year round. They'll be so happy. I also have Japanese maples in the same area, and they do wonderful. Just don't forget to water them, especially in summer. I know they'll love it. I live in the same area as you, so I know they'll do fine ❤

Hii! Ohh, the same way you keep buying ficus triangularis, I buy myrtle....I had a dream of forming it into a big lush ball, but somehow they keep dying on me. One died after a few years and one died after a few weeks. Other attempts are in between :) I can't figure out their care...I hope that your ficus triangularis trees live and shine in all their glory 🌿

Hey ~ My mother got some sad Monstera Deliciousa cuttings I didn't bother caring for (I have about 50 cuttings from a huge one I cut up last year) and she loves them. She has around ten Monsteras now living in her livingroom. Luckly she does not fequently fertilise and some of them are in quite low light conditions so I have hopes they aren't getting too unruly too soon. I also gave a healthy small Monstera to my sister but I think it does not exist anymore. I am afraid to ask. She travels alot, moved to a different place and has no clue about plants. Her taste in plants gravitates towards difficult and frequently moist, but her lifestyle screams snake plant in a dark corner. So I do not expect to see any plants surviving in her care 😂

My daughter loves the Polka Dot plant and has tried multiple times to grow it, always unsuccessfully. So when her partner fell in love with one, she told him that if he could keep it alive for six months she would marry him. Well eight months later it is still alive and thriving. So Azure?
