This was the best fix for the wardrobe mishap.
I don't know if this is common knowledge, but the actor couldn't keep his hat on during the stand-up animation, so Midway studios baked in a teleport get-up animation to amend that problem and now here we are 30 years+ with the awesome teleport power of the Thunder god!

Why did they get rid of the original sounds for
MK10L has the best teleport fx for Raiden because of the particle effect that gives a sense of mysticism. It looks cool, and is also reminiscent of Star Trek's human teleporting fx.
As for the teleport sound fx, both MK10L and Injustice 2 are great. Each is great in their own way, difficult to pick one, so perhaps if there are 2 types of teleport for the next game, then 2 different sound fx could be used.
Another thought: Perhaps some old, seemingly forgotten stages in the MK prequels could make a come in the next game with better graphics and re-imagined ideas.
For example, the rocky mountain stage could be re-designed to have a sand pit instead of the motorized elevator platform. It could be the stage of home of a "meditating dark Sith" type of character who has that eagle claw martial art technique that rips a part walls.
A new feature of the game would be high flying wire-fu with aerial combat, 360 camera rotation and The Matrix bullet time slow motion.
