I really don't like that Red Super Saiyan is called Super Saiyan God instead of Saiyan God, as it's basically god ki+base form. I would wish Super Saiyan Blue to be called Super Saiyan God instead of the red one.
I've been thinking the same thing for a while. Problem is that SSB was not thought of when SSG came about.
One of the downsides of Akira's more off the cuff writing style.
Would have been great if Dragon Ball Super retconned the names.

I don’t like this either, but it’s worth noting that SSJB isn’t actually SSJB, it’s just a shortened name made by Goku, Vegeta and Whis because it originally was a tongue twister. The actual name is of course SSJGSSJ or SSGSS, which makes sense as there’s two SSJs in it.

1. SSJG is the first canonical transformation to ever have a different aura colour to hair colour
2. SSJG is the first transformation in canon and non-canon to have a texture in the aura in the burning inferno it is
3. SSJG makes Goku look leaner
4. SSJG makes Goku look younger
5. SSJG is the first transformation to increase clothes and skin saturation rather than merely brightening it and yet remains the only one to do so.
6. SSJG is the first and still only transformation where the hair colour has a colour gradient: red-pink and arguably only if light is not a factor.
7. It's also the first transformation to keep the base form hair.
SSJB has none of this and is just a lazy recolour of SSJ.
Eh. I would’ve preferred if only Vegeta got blue and it was equal to God and they both mastered it but that’s just my opinion.

I remember in the U7 vs U6 arc Goku only use SSJ Blue in short bursts switching back and forth with SSJ God while attacking when fighting Hit instead of straight up transforming into Blue the whole fight.
It's also nice to see that Super Broly movie thankfully utilized the red form a decent amount (granted, Broly did beat the crap out of Goku) before Goku goes to Blue.
The healing abilities of SSG never appeared in the movie nor the manga, which means that it's just an anime exclusive thing

Its implied in the manga. Goku can use ki to heal himself. And he can survive deadly wounds long enough to eat a senzu bean.

slight correction at 6:18, its not that gokus super saiyan god was stronger than vegetas blue, as stated by whis vegeta used it to much in one day and due to the energy drain of Blue vegeta wasnt able to use any more than 10 percent of its power, not because his blue is inheirently weaker than gokus god form, but just that his energy had been exhausted, but since goku hadnt used blue yet, his energy wasnt exhausted so god was more than enough to deal with hit, had vegeta not wanted to show off his strength and superiority of the blue form he could have also dealt with hit in god with relative ease, hope that clears things up

True. SSGJ is almost a technique, where you simply alter your ki to be divine filled. Almost making it a fluid form like MUI, compared to SSGSSJ which is like SSJ in that it is a straight power reach, powerhouse form. It makes sense why Goku and Vegeta both went SSGJ against Broly, yet they went straight to SSGSS for Jiren. Jiren is such a controlled and fluid fighter that the only way to beat him would be raw power, like we saw with Goku and Frieza (other than mui but that is obviously too strong too). Whereas with Broly, Goku and Vegeta recognize his power and non controllable style, realizing it makes no sense to go blue kiaoken or evolution because they cant go past Broly with power unless they SERIOUSLY surpass him due to his never ending power rising constantly. Gogeta Blue was miles ahead so that was the answer. Clearly, they knew as individuals it would require finess to beat him. Which explains maybe why Goku almost went MUI while powering up. He may have been trying to tap into it to out finesse Broly, but he realized he couldnt transform mid power up so he settled for blue to try and cook.)@@saintreem

Implying these are simply techniques with different purposes. Whereas any form that required ssj ability his hair stands up as a clear indicator of a massive inward surge of power in his saiyan cells.

@AventSir Depends, Ssjg was far less draining, but when Goku and Vegeta perfected Ssjb, it became a lot better by far. But even with regular ssjb, I'd still say it's so much stronger where it might balance out the disadvantages with the ki drain. But the most effective way would just be to go blue on impact, but the rest of the battle maintain ssjg, just like they did in the Goku Black arc.

I'd say if he's in for a long fight its better to go with ssg or do what vegeta did and keep switching. In a short fight however turning blue and pulling out the ki belt is far better.

Can you make a video about certain types of outsmarting “builds?” Builds that focus on FSIQ, Thinking, Reasoning (Lawliet). Builds that focus on EQ, SQ, Manipulation, Deception (Light), or builds that are hybrid (Koji).
The main reason people have takes from Koji low diffing Light to Light mid diffing Koji is because they don’t know how certain types of outsmarting builds interact; fix that.

Just some slight corrections I noticed when watching
The first is that there is a pretty massive difference between Ritual Super Saiyan God and normal Super Saiyan God
Ritual Super Saiyan God has the self-healing and the time limit (due to having the life energy and ki of five other Saiyans, though Goku does just have healing powers in base anyway)
normal Super Saiyan God has everything else
Next, the main reason why it took him a while to get to full power in Battle of Gods is because he was getting used to that level of power the whole fight. The arc peaks with him getting a grasp on fully controlling the power for himself in one final push, because the entire time, his new level of strength is so incredibly high that he can hardly control it
Final thing is that the Super Saiyan God powers aren't unique to Super Saiyan God; they just have a unique look because of the unique ki
The only thing Goku really does in the form is trap someone's movements with ki, which Broly does immediately after (despite not having SSG) and Vegeta doesn't even use any unique abilities

Imagine if in “Resurrection of F”, Vegeta and Goku arrive to deal with Freeza. Vegeta demonstrates Super Saiyan God, and has Freeza on the ropes, until Freeza reveals his Golden form.
Then in order to defeat Freeza, they have to push themselves by managing to harness the power of super Saiyan into the god form, thus creating the new form.

9:31 No matter how many explainations I get, it would have made way more sense for the red form to be called "Sayian God" and the blue form to be "Super Sayian God". The one exception is that it took Super Sayians to come together to make it. So it would be odd that super sayians would produce a regular sayian power. But we can ignore that if we considered that it was their power combining that made the transformation and not their type of power. Just the amount. As he stated in the video, the red for is diffferent from the blue form, hes skinnier, sort of uniquely adjusted. Where as the blue form is literally just the blonde form but with blue color visually.

The SSJG to SSJB multiplier doesn't add up in the manga. Vegeta at 10% power is less than Hit, whose full power is around SSJG level, and Hit wasn't near full power when fighting Vegeta. This implies SSJB can't be more than a 10x multiplier to SSJG.
Power levels don't really mean anything anymore. Dragonball never really had consistent feats to actually judge characters' power vs. a baseline. At most you can just guess how much stronger one character is than another when they fight.

Back when ssb was first announced/hinted at before we saw it in action a major part of the community thought it was going to be exactly like what you said a ssj just tapping into a bit of that god power, would of been way cooler tbh ssb blew the already crazy power scaling out of the water

SS gives a multiplier of 50x over base, hence SSB being 50x over SSG.
SSB Kaioken x20 is 1000x stronger than SSG.
honestly, after a certain point I think toriyama and the writing staff for the anime stopped keeping track of how much stronger a transformation is relative to the others. Blue is definitely stronger, but from what we observe, it's not that much stronger than god. For that matter, the difference between super saiyan and base also seems to have gotten narrower with time. While you can definitely brush this aside as lazy writing, I think we can explain this by a phenomena we see in Battle of Gods, something I'll call "Power Bleed" for the sake of this argument.
After having attained SSJG, Goku is still able to keep pace with Beerus in SSJ1. This is explained as Goku having fundamentally changed due to having been exposed to God Ki. Essentially, but having achieved Super Saiyan God, he became stronger. One could say this is simply because Goku is attuned to God Ki, and God Ki on its own is at least 20kx stronger than normal ki, but I think a more realistic answer is that Goku's just stronger from the experience. We see this in Z and Super, how the difference between SSJ1 and base gets more and more inconsequential.
To use the water cup analogy,accessing a form means you're overflowing your cup, and you necessarily have to get a bigger one. Mastering the form means your cup is perfectly capable of handling the form. But you always have that cup, and raising the water level of that cup to your normal, base level, is necessarily more volume than before, even if that's all you did as far as training goes.
I never liked the name of those forms: "Super Saiyan God" yet his hair is completely normal, then there is "Super Saiyan God: Super Saiyan"?
I always think of "Divine Saiyan" and "Divine Super Saiyan".
I wouldn't call SSG having "grades", it's just the result of training.

It's actually closer than you imply. Thanks to the fights against Hit of both Goku and Vegeta, we know that God is stronger than 10% of Blue's power. With how dominant was Goku in God compared to Vegeta in Blue, I'd say Blue is about twice as powerful. Maybe a bit more, once Goku finally completed Blue. But God has also grown in strenght, so not much more.
Blue is still the winner, no questions asked (twice as strong is stil INSANE, just look at SSJ1 vs SSJ2), but not even close to 50 times stronger.

In order for us to accurately scale The Saiyan God forms, we must confirm the multipliers of The Traditional Super Saiyan Forms first.

The Buu Arc, In DBZ The Manga, DBZ KAI Anime & DBS Anime & Manga it is Unanimously Stated, Proven, Understood & Accepted by The Z fighters That Goku is “The Strongest In The Universe.” A 400x Maximum Multiplier for SSJ3 form would mean Gotenks is Stronger than both Goku & Gohan, in that order. We all know that’s false. The story narrative for the Strongest to the weakest goes.. 1) Goku 2) Gohan 3) Gotenks 4) Vegeta. This is The Hierarchy in The Buu Arc & DBZ Movie 13 Wrath Of The Dragon.
How is this possible when we all know Base Form Gotenks is Stronger than Base Form Goku? Gotenks is marginally Stronger than Goku, but Stronger nonetheless. I’ll ask the question again, how is it possible for Super Saiyan 3 Goku to be Stronger than Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks, when Base Form Gotenks is technically Stronger than Base Form Goku?
Super Saiyan 3 has a 150x Minimum Multiiplier. However, 300x is The Maximum Multiplier SSJ3 can achieve!!! How can I confidently say this do boldly? Bcuz I know somethin, that nobody else does.
Goku is without a doubt The Strongest In The Universe during The Buu Arc. This is something a large number of fans agree upon. However if you would’ve asked the fans how this is possible, then this is where you will get an array of different answers. So we all agree on the answer, in math but nobody’s agreeing on how they got to the answer. Because everybody is missing one key piece to the puzzle.
Many Gohan fans deny Goku as being The Strongest. Sum Gohan fans say that Gohan was Stronger, but Goku grew Stronger than thru a Zenkai Boost. Wait a min, these Gohan fans say Gohan is Stronger, then after it is proven that Goku is Stronger, they relent in sayin “Goku got Stronger than Gohan due to a Zenka Boost, or Goku receiving several Zenkai Boosts.
Unfortunately that too is not true. What if I told you none of the Saiyans in The Buu Arc received any Zenkai Boosts? It’s true. They do get stronger, but that’s only by means of training to get stronger & not by fighting. Ssjg and ssjb both drain energy, but I believe ssjb drains more and doesn’t really give much more power and strength than ssjg. I’d consider ssjb a downgrade version of ssjg. But, that is just my opinion.

I honestly could've lived without SSB, SSG felt like it was going to be a departure from the norm of Super Saiyan'ism. SSG should've been treated like UI where it was a gradual progression of mastering the form then leading it into UI vs what we got, where SSG was essentially deemed useless immediately after its inception. IMO SSB feels as if it doesn't belong in the franchise lmao blue doesn't fit the color palette of the series at all, hell they could've made SSG just Saiyan God, and SSG red with super saiyan yellow aura mixed with the red god ki.
it was always said that fusion muliply one fuser with the other one power, so if vegeta was 100k and goku 110k, the vegito multiplier would be 100k*110k which is just absurd, and he can stack super saiyan on top of that, this is also the reason why gogeta is a litllbe bit less strongest than vegito, when it come to brute force, because to achieve metamol fusion, they need to be the same power level, for example here goku would have to lower his strengh to 100k so its 100k*100k or exposant2 to make it simple
If we talkin straight power output, it's Blue, since it's "technically" a Super Saiyan with the power of Super Saiyan God. If we talking overall more effective and better portrayal overall? God, hands down.
Idk why they look like they're trying to make ssjG look cooler than blue . The ki control thing goku did on broly , he literally only did it with god , but it could be really useful in blue even for a split second because vegeta could get some hits in with this .
