Andre Johnson & DeAndre Hopkins on the same field is crazy to think about. Always thought the Texans were a QB away of doing something special. I’m a Cowboys fan, so that’s quite the compliment. Appreciate the Texans front offense to have such a bounce back. Got to love Shroud
If Schaub hadn’t gotten his talent stolen by the MonStars we could’ve had a shot. Him going from passing leader/all pro to garbage so quickly will always baffle me
2013 is one of the most underrated seasons for Brady in his career. He didn't have the numbers, but no Welker, no Hernandez, no Deion Branch, no Brandon Lloyd, no Gronk for a majority of the season, no great receiving back like Danny Woodhead. Just Julian Edelman. Didn't have an exceptional defense. And they made the AFC Championship. Insane.
@jcore0981 That's because they played in a weak division against QB's like rookie Geno Smith and Thaddeus Lewis. Also, they got an easy draw in the divisional round against the overachieving Andrew Luck Colts, who should have lost to KC the week before, I think the Chiefs beat NE that year if they play them.
This season scarred me for life. Once we get past week 2 and 3 I know we’re good for the season. Almost lost it during the 2018 season when we started 0-3 but went 9-0 the next nine games.
It's amazing how Brady could elevate any receiving core and take them to the AFC Championship or Super Bowl. He had subpar receivers to work with very often in his career, but he always got the most out of them
I remember this. Pats had 3 straight weeks of double digit comebacks, the other 2 were the 24-0 comeback against Denver and the 26-14 comeback against Cleveland.
the 2013 pats defense was so ass and they had so many injuries but somehow they made the AFC championship game which i dont understand yeah tom brady really was that good lmao also had no idea that DHop was playing in the NFL this long
My last in person game as a Houston resident. This was supposed to be a 3:25 start, but it got pushed to noon since the Texans were so bad. Great game though, Texans only lost by 3, my ticket was only $60, and I got to see The GOAT!
@@PassRoyalrThey still went 12-4 in the regular season and found their groove as the season progressed. The main issue with that team was how different the pass catchers were… Wes Welker, Aaron Hernandez, Danny Woodhead, Brandin Lloyd all gone. Gronk was still recovering from his offseason injury and then came back but didn’t start producing at Gronk levels until mid season, but then he got his ACL torn in the Cleveland game.
@PassRoyalr yeah, but any team that makes the AFC championship with a 12-4 or better record is a great team. Obviously they weren’t as great the other pats teams but still should be considered great
Ah 2013 that was Hopkins rookie year and I believe Andre last year with us and so was Schaubs as he fell off the cliff and we fired Kubiak. After that draft we went on to draft Clowney and going through QB hell in the O’Brien years
Back when the commentators didn't overreact to the smallest things. Nowadays when someone catches a ten yard pass or scores a touchdown they react to it like they've never seen it before in their life.
Despite losing to the Patriots at home that year my Texans were the better team than the Patriots in my opinion only because the Patriots did not bring their A game
Most Texans fans hate the cowboys but I would say our biggest enemy was the patriots and then the ravens after all the heartbreaks they gave us in the playoffs I don’t care about the cowboys lol
This was one of the weird seasons in Texans' history. Far too talented to have a record that bad. Andrew Johnson and the second receiver was a rookie D Hop.
Ah the 2013 season, when ur winning (it’s not about kubiak, it’s about “schaub can’t do this!”) then when we lose (fire the damn coach! We need a coach from New England! They know how to win!! They went from a playoff team to a 2-14 team. Schaub completely fell off.
Preach
@AdamD-gk4os Schaub fell off after a lisfranc injury and Kubiak was also falling off because his health was getting worse
i don’t want to forget about it. it’s moments like these (i had season tickets) that remind me how far we came

This is the 2nd of 3 straight games in which the patriots made crazy comebacks in the 2nd half. The 2013 team had a very underrated offense
This account is my saving grace for lunch breaks
The Texans fell from 12-4 in 2012 to 2-14 in 2013. I think it's the biggest win total drop in history (or one of the biggest).
