    I didn't know that the itchy skin and scalp was because of my fibromyalgia and none of my doctors or specialists ever told me. I use the nutrogena t gel stuff but ill try the teatree shampoo bar aswell. For my skin in the shower i have dermaveen bath oil (i think thats what its called) to sooth it befor i get out and it does help. Normally when i have a shower it causes my skin to itch and burn like mad when i get out so thats helped. Plus my meds for neuropathy. But I didn't know that normal itchiness and the scalp itchiness was part of it! Thanks for teaching me something new.

    Thank you again. I really enjoy your videos. I have similar items in my home to help me cope with my fibro. I am always spilling things as well lol. I use allot of those sports drink tumblers with the pop tops. They work great and are a good size. I also prefer my "pretty" cane as well lol. Mine is the same shape as yours but it is collapsible, so I can store it in my purse. I live in Norway so I am only an hour ahead of you. Stream when it is best for you. I will try to catch it. :)

    Has anyone tried a tenns machine to help with fibro pain?

    • @shay8364
      @shay8364 4 месяца назад +1

      Hi 🙂. My tens machine helps so much with the pain I get from fibromyalgia. When the pain gets really bad or unbearable I pop that on for an hour & it makes a huge difference. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't completely remove the pain, but then nothing ever does. However, it still makes a huge difference & gives me such relief. Sometimes I can't sleep because the pain is so severe, but once I put my tens machine on I have passed out within 5-10 mins because my pain eased significantly. I would definitely recommend it 🙂!
      Btw, my tens machine (& I think most others) has many different settings for the level of intensity, but also the type of pattern/style (for lack of a better word). I don't find all of the patterns helpful, which is fine because there is still so many that are really helpful. So if you get one & you're not loving it at first, I would encourage you to play around with the style/pattern settings & intensity to find one that suits you best. With certain areas (my wrists & forearms) it doesn't take a lot of intensity to feel it working. Other areas e.g. thighs & calves are a bit thicker & require the intensity to be increased.
      Hopefully you'll be able to find the settings that work the best for you. Good luck, I don't think you'll ever regret buying one ☺️.

    I have 3 canes and a hiking stick. One of my canes has a spike attachment that I can put down on icy days, or put up when not in use. I also can't live without my heavy blanket. I watch movies when I need to get out of my head (from the pain). Arthritis gloves help with hand pain, they just give a little squeeze and make it not so bad. I thought I read that Alka Seltzer gold helps with IBS, but I haven't tried it. My friend has one of those body shaker platform things and swears it helps her pain. I've noticed lately that loud noise is really bothersome. It never was before and I wonder if it's fibro related? Anyway, thanks for the video and take care. I can watch a live whatever day you do, since I am retired now. 😜

    • @LordandLordettes
      @LordandLordettes  2 года назад

      Good idea about the ice spike on the canes! I don't have a weighted blanket as I tried Pops one but didn't like it! I definitely will look at the gloves!

    Hey Nicola,
    That was a really useful fibro section but I feel almost like you have made us all complicit in cheating on the trusted notepad!
    😂📒💔
    All your hacks this week were very good; I really need to invest in a pretty wrist strap for my sticks as i am so clumsy! (Although I have almost perfected the art of gently stepping on the rubber stopper enough to flick the handle back up. 🙈🙈)
    I am definitely going to order the pill box too. My older ones are too small (15 pills at breakfast time alone!) and the one i currently use can't split and be taken out for the day so i have to use several tiny ones... its a nuisance!
    As for the fan...i bought one the first time i saw you with yours in a video during lockdown #1 and i couldn't be without it now! I take it literally everywhere with me! It has become a handbag necessity and i dont know how i managed without it for so many years. 🤷🏻‍♀️
    One thing i have considered buying is a kettle tipper. It makes it super simple to pour water to make a cup of tea on the days i'm too shaky or my hands/wrists just wont behave. I'm a definite tea-junkie so to not have tea would be truly devastating. 😭
    Also, my lanyard is a sunflower one and one side says i have hidden disabilities, the other side has my photo, a list of my disabilities, my name and contact details for my husband. That way if anything ever happens they have his number.
    After having a car accident in 2020, i also realised there needs to be an up-to-date list of my illnesses, medications and any difficulties i have communicating clearly on my worst days, in the glove box!
    A live with you would be amazing, i already feel like we are friends, so to have a live would be really good!
    Have a great rest of the week and i'll catch up again Saturday for the weekly! Xx
    P.S when you were thinking kindle/audible it was like listening to my own fibro fog!😂😂

    • @LordandLordettes
      @LordandLordettes  2 года назад +1

      Hi Claire! I have a Breville instant kettle where you press a button and the hot water comes out into the mug, even easier than a tip kettle! Will show you on the weekly. Just so you know, the tablet pots I listed will not be exactly the same as mine as mine are years old but as near to as I could find. See you Saturday! 😘
