Everyone who practices a healthful lifestyle may not necessarily live longer but will certainly enjoy a better quality of life by far.

Clearing Mental garbage is a very good message. Buddhist monks spend their days meditating to achieve spiritual enlightenment, and they are better vegetarians than SDAs.

I'm thinking that living g healthier could add life. But it also probably makes death more healthy also. Plus it adds on to your lived ones lives and less sickness is always good.

Jesus never intended to be in competition with the media or mediums of distraction in this world.

I am very disappointed, with tears. Lee is the reason I began truly walking with Jesus. Now to hear him pronounce the importance of "doing" again is very discouraging. Is Jesus not our all in all. Isn't this a message of distraction vs being truly focused on our Savior? Is he not the author and the means of all that is anymore? Is He especially close to those who eat veggies? I think that's non biblical. This is why I no longer attend the SDA church. Same old focus on self vs Jesus only. Disappointed

You are right that Jesus is our all in all. He is the author and finisher of our faith. I, too, have been blessed by Lee and Morris lifting up Christ.
Lee’s mantra has been, “It’s not about what you do, but Who you know. Who you know will change what you do.” It’s all His work.
There are lifestyle choices that influence our minds’ focus (think about intoxication, sleep deprivation, sugar etc). Christ is the only answer to any addiction or need for change.
The law is a mirror that shows us a problem, but the remedy is found not in trying to keep the law but in trusting in Christ to change us. So with appetites, it is good to recognize the need. But trying to break an addiction without Christ is an impossibility.
Don’t be discouraged by people in church, just keep your eyes on Christ. We all are in need of grace.
      Much love.

there's a difference between doing things to try to earn your salvation or righteousness or God's merit, and doing things in order to allow yourself to yield more fully to God's control. Doing things to boost or enhance your relationship with God is not righteousness by works, because you're doing it for relationship sake, not behavior sake.
Keep the conscience tender that you may hear the slightest whisper of the voice that spake as never man spake. This is righteousness by faith still because it helps deepen your relationship with God, which is the foundation for the Christian life.
