I just found these sermons! My heart is so blessed. I got to see Morris Vendon at a camp meeting when I was young. His son's sermons are just as good! I love them!
Wow!!! I have had it so wrong for so long! I have suffered for decades, left and came back to God and the church because of the painful, self defeating idea that I am only a good Adventist, Christian and saved soul by looking at the law and trying to not sin every hour of the day.! Sin is not the core problem but a symptom of a broken or separated relationship with my Creator, God and King. Sin is the symptomatic result of stepping away from God as much as feeling cold and in the dark when I back away from the warm light giving Fire at the edge of the woods in a snowstorm!
3/9/22 Im returning to these videos again. I've watched/listened to them about 7 or 8 maybe a dozen times, I'm not exaggerating! I even have them on DVD! I'm finally realizing many more new and foundational understandings. If we are to die to self daily, we must be born again daily. Following Christ is an very intentional walk. It is not a once saved always saved kind of living. Thank you Lord for sending us Your Holy Spirit to help us learn and comfort us through the heartache, confusion and frustration.
Comment to Rose. I've been to many Sunday churches and they do worse than sda s . They always quote men n women who don't have the gift of prophecy as if they are inspired . Example = c s lewis . Funny thing , no one ever bats an Eye lash. I get sick of hearing that type of thing but it happens all the time but again no one makes a stink about it. But someone quotes e.g. white n it's the end of the world. I have a non denominational pastor friend who just loves e.g. whites books. I knew 4 young street kids in NYC who loved her books n could get enough. I know many more non sda who love her writings . I think we should be thankful to God for blessings n not consider them curses.
One of the reasons why I myself doesn't want to attend church in the 7th Day Adventist was the pastors. You can't talk about God without mentioning Ellen G. White. I go to church to hear about the word of God but I hear the word of man or a woman. The time in church to hear about God was used to hear the word of men. Instead, I heard about EG White's writing or her books. I can read her writing myself if I am interested in getting to know her. I don't want to be liked her. I want to be liked Christ. To get to know God is to get it from God himself. I get more by reading the word of God for myself than listening to the pastors' preaching. I go because my husband is a member. The Holy Spirit corrects whatever was not biblical in the sermon we've heard. God can explain his word fully. That's the way to get it first hand. My prayers for all, especially the preachers and pastors to start all over again. Forget about what people taught you. Learn from God himself. Let God be your teacher to draw you to Christ, John 6:45. Then you all can be a followers of Christ, 1 John 2:6.

I watched this 4 years ago and learned a bit. Today as I watch, it is so different. I am truly learning about relationship with Jesus...thank God!
