Setting up the camera, riding back, riding past the cam and picking it back up must've cost a lot of time lol
content baby
It is what it is
But he was upset because he had to wait 10 Minutes for the bridge to come back down... xD Logic...
"bike specific tunnel" instantly drives past a forbidden for bikes sign.. 😂
exactly my thoughts
@@brunigminecraft1660 bike icon with a red border on the circle sign is absolutely what it means in all European countries. Do they not have these in the UK?
Cameron: I want to go as far as I can
Also Cameron: ride headwind in Netherlands for entire day
But no hills
9:21 now I might be wrong, but it looks like the cyclist tunnel is the one on the left. I hope no driving instructors are watching this! 😱
That is correct. I made the same mistake with some friends last month. No cars luckily, and we had an absolute blast, but explains why a worker by the escalator was giving us dirty looks. Whoops...
Lol I live near this tunnel and all the serious cyclists take the car tunnel. The staff doesn′t really like it but I′ve never been stopped before
Yeah that's the tunnel for agricultural traffic and mopeds, but a lot of cyclists on racing bikes still take the (now) 'forbidden tunnel, it's faster
Fun to see you ride on my old backyard. That bridge where you had to wait for 10 mins is quite famous for that and the tunnel you went through is amazing and you can reach such high speeds.
10:52 proper secondary school diet right there
energy drink would've complete it
Great ride, great effort! You just passed through my hometown Maastricht and my cycling backyard: the Dutch Mountains. Definitely worth to spend more time in this region. Next time stop by for a cup of coffee!
Well done Cam, definitely do the 7 day challenge, I'd be up for joining you for a day!
@9:24 That white/red sign literally means cycling through there is forbidden. I think the tunnel on the left is the tunnel for cyclists.
Wish they had them coming back from the galibier route, those tunnels feel proper sketchy especially when wearing sunglasses on 🙈🙈😂😂
Awesome man, love these cycling adventures... keep it up...
Really enjoyable video, made me want to get back on the bike 🚲, big congrats to your brother on winning his fight too
Well done Cameron what a trip!! You are so adventurous!! Great video! 👏👏👏👏
First time viewer, this was great. I also liked the fact that your diet for the entire trip consisted of junk food. Reminds me of my days racing in the 90’s, eat crap, train hard😂😂😂 👍
Yeah, the Tailfin thru axle thingy can catch you out.
I managed to borrow one for my trip.
Was told to always get the TF universal axle kit.
But you managed fine without by the look of it.😊
I rarely watch videos where the creator says if I get X numbers of likes, I'll do this, but for the first time, I really hope you get 5,000 likes. That sounds like an epic video! Keep up the great work Cameron.
Great vid, Cameron :)
Judging from the time zones and assuming your phone updated accordingly, it looks like you may have had an extra hour to get some more mileage in!
Oh my god, I did bike packing almost the same route but opposite way. Through Aachen in Germany to Maastricht where I stayed for a night. Then from there to Rotterdam crisscrossing Belgium/Netherlands border and via Tilburg! Enjoyed your experience Cam😊!
Love ya vids bro so the 7 day trip for sure. Keep em coming
Loving the content, I'd love to see some more crits or TT's. May be a 24 hour ride from the south of the UK to the north or there's an insane hardest 100km route in Wales with 3500m of climbing
Hi Cam', nice to see old like videos. Hope gonna drop more in the future !
great to finally see you ride in my country (Netherlands). And that 28 degrees... it really was that warm those days
The idea is brilliant. Your implementation was successful. The dark blue suits you very well.
Did you add the hour for Europe if so could have done a hour more as you only did 47 hrs lol gutted no mention of missing the first ferry 🤫
Banger video! Loved it.
Love those adventures. Next time you have to come further south in germany!
Now that's a proper spin. 👍
Just doesn’t sit right not seeing you on a Ribble….
When you back on bike Pritch 😉
@@crankgreenwatts e-bike possibly 😂😂😂
Just like seeing you not on your e bike
Zuid Limburg has the most hills in the Netherlands, lovely area for cycling , Vaals-> Aachen border
Please run through your bike packing set up. I have just invested in a similar bike, Cannondale Supersix Evo 2016 model (which is not a touring/ gravel bike), but I want to use it for a cycle to Paris! A run down of your 3/4 day set up would be amazing!
Crazy man. Just checked my heatmap as thought I recognised the name of the town you nearly finished up in Duren... appears I went down that random road in that random woods in the TCR must be a really popular route. I hope you filmed something of an adventure on the way home?
Is heatmap lycra?
Do you lock your bike when you go in the store and how? Looking voor some tips!
"It's all about the adventure" is one of my mantras!
Fantastic ride 👊🏼
Love to see you riding my home roads
This is cool and wild. I just skirted the island of Montreal, let alone the province of Quebec then all of Canada.
When u are in Valkenburg or Maastricht u have to go to fixed gear coffee i recemend this place
Does garmin put you on the cycle routs in these countries or did you plan the routs on your phone.
The overnight hull disco boat 😊
Incredible effort.
What wind app did you use? Looks pretty accurate. And how DID you get home?
Nice video Cam
How do you lock your bike when heading to shops etc? Whilst also keeping a light pack
Proper good content. 👍🏼
he's back
Great ride that one
Go for it Cam 😁😁
Actually, with extra day, you could get to Portugal. Theres ferry from Plymouth to Santander (north Spain) :D
How did you manage to get home !!?
Guessing train to Cologne and flight from there
I couldnt even ride up blackstone edge that was at the beginning of the ride nowadays
hi cameron jeffers u earned my respect
Bro forgot time zones could have ridden another hour
His iPhone would have automatically change to the time zone he was in.
Cam if you thought Dickmans was funny, an hour or so north of Duren is a town called Wankum!!!
Well done boyo...😊
12:03 he didn’t say “because the roads are bad”
Brilliant idea.
If you ever try this again: you can go to Brussels and take the nighttrain to Linz (Austria)
Great video
Top effort 😎
Need to do this live and take a poll on making left or right turns. Or flipping a coin
Your next challenge should be to race the tour divide gravel race love to see that cheers
That was cool! 🤟🤘🏿
At the start of the video, you say it's a 48-hour challenge starting on a Friday and ending on a Sunday. However when you show you phone at the end @18:02 it says its Wednesday 1st May. Its an impressive distance however long it took you but its now hard to trust this is a true 48hr challenge
This distance ist really realistic.
I just finished a 1000km Ultra Race.
The Winner did it in 49 hours. I needed 110 hours. An absolute monster, and i wouldnt have believed it if i didnt see it. So yes, i think his 48 hour challenge is trustworty
@@stoehnibut if he started on a Friday like he said at the start, and ended at 9:50 on Wednesday like his phone says on the video its taken him 5 days? I believe its definitely possible in 48 hrs but this looks a bit faked and if it is i feel that discredits people that have done ultras like you.
Well, Google maps puts the first leg at around 230km, the second leg in total is 240km. That's 2 long days worth of cycling. Don't forget that the distance increased quite a bit since he slept on a ferry. The distances are doable for sure. It's likely just getting some b roll a couple days later or something like that.
Ever thought of doing the trans am bike race? 6800 km in 18 days is the record!
Cool video enjoyed it it. Be fun to see a 7 day challenge
@Cameron_Jeffers you should join Crudwell 24hr event on 8/9june at see if you can beat the 24hr single rider record which I believe it above 300 miles
I bought the universal Thruaxle for the same reason. Can fit any pitch on any bike then. I got caught short one trip too and took a bag on my back. Never again
How do thy make it fit any pitch, external thread and nut on the outside of the dropout/
@@julianallen515 no it’s a universal axle. Comes with 3 different ends for all pitches on bike threads. High quality cnc pieces screw together. Very clever and well designed. All info on tailfin site as they sell them separately. Future proofs any new bike purchase too 👌🏻
2.08 must get my camera 😊
Fun adventure mate! I rode 685 km for a race in Utah, US in 29 hours with support vehicle but we stopped regularly to eat, change cold weather gear, etc. Salt2Saint. Would like to sleep and see how far to go like you. 👏
Fair play pal, I get out of breath walking up the stairs
better roads in yorkshire you are laughing right lol.👍
We wil meet there Maastricht België etc is my cycling places
you went true the best bike country on earth the Netherlands :)
17:20 this old storage hall smells like pure chemicals
Insane
You finished on the best bit of road in the world.
Did you finish at 10am uk time or 10am German time? Germany is one hour ahead of the uk meaning that if you finished at 10am German time you only did 47 hours!
Your helmet strap on the left side needs to be tightened a bit 😐 . That was a great video. And the pizza 🍕 looked good 🤤
he didnt said the country but the german busstop sign give it away pretty fast
Bikes with knobs sticking out the side sponsored by Lovehoney !!
Cool video
Maastricht is in Limburg niet in Holland, It's like saying Holyhead is in England.
not mention of the first attempt - missing the ferry, getting a macca's and getting the train home??? 🙂
Nice effort Jeffers and loving the content .. Cmon @chrispritch need some collab 🤞
so how did you get home
how do you just arrive in belgium? isn’t there a border crossing where you have to show your passport before entering?
Belgium and the Netherlands are both in Schengen zone, so once you entered the Netherlands, you can travel to Belgium without passport control.
I want to see a vídeo off how did you came back😂
Is heatmap lycra?
This makes my Edinburgh to Warrington ride look very very average 😂
mate if you drive through austria in the 7 day challenge, let me know!
Maybe cycling east is a quicker way home?🤪
Thats what I love about Europe! U can travel to other countries without the need of flying.
pov: you go ride and find one of those ogluy slippers, where do i now them from?
8:10 - if you're struggling to pronounce Dutch (place) names, remember that 'ij' is just another vowel sound, so don't make that J more difficult than it needs to be! 'Spijkenisse' is roughly pronounced 'Spike-uh-niss-uh'.
...also, NO WAY! I was JUST in that hotel in Maastricht like 3 months ago 😁
Strangely you don't have Irish accent : ) How come?
I just gave you your 5000th like so chop chop begin riding
I've been to that Mcdonalds! :D
God i hate that fucking aggressive iphone alarm
Shouldn’t you have ridden another hour, CET?
7 days 😊😊😊😊😊
LETS GET 5K likes Amazing video
