@@ashley_neal of course? Why can’t bikes and cars share the roads in harmony? Surely that comes down to my own judgement as a cyclist to know what is or isn’t safe. I’m obviously not going to put myself into a state of danger for the sake of a RUclips video..

I was the only person up there! Had the roads to myself. Quite enjoyed that area. The Surrey hills were surprisingly Lancashire - ish in places! 😃
Cross posting my comment from Mr Neil's reaction video: Well, legalities first... cyclists can't be guilty of speeding, only "wanton disregard", since the offence of speeding requires an engine. Driving/Riding without due care comes into play for cyclists. I also don't think that parts of the analysis are particularly fair... the points about the hairpin and overtakes without forward vision... even in this analysis, you can see a few times where the cyclists scan the road ahead, over the top of the vegetation... no differently to me on a motorcycle, not forgetting that bikers/cyclists sit higher up than your average car driver, too. Equally, the point about overtaking "just as the space clears" - absolutely nothing wrong there, if the space is clearing and you have the ability to pass within the applicable speed limit (something pretty much every biker will do). Were they taking risks? Absolutely. Were those risks unacceptably high? Not in my opinion. Would I be happy with my kids taking exactly those risks? Well, I'd ask if they'd thought it through first, and if yes, fair play. Lets not forget we are not the Police, Judge, Jury and/or Executioner. I'm sure if plod takes issue with it, the original video will be more than enough evidence for the CPS to do something about it. Lets try not to live in a nanny state, shall we?
At 5:30 we see the challenger overtaking a car that was getting ready to overtake a slower cyclist ahead. Had that driver not seen him or been expecting a reckless overtake this could have ended extremely badly. A poor showing all round.
