I appreciate the information you've shared. I ordered a Silver Sky SE and it should arrive tomorrow. I used to play guitar daily and would play live, but it's been about 10 years and ive hardly picked it up at all during that time. I also previosuly played an Ibanez RG570, so a very different style instrument. My mindset is that I'm going to essentially start from scratch and learn a new style of playing. I look forward to trying out the Silver Slinkys after this review.

I'm putting a set on my G&L Comanche! I can't wait

I use ghs fast fret. It helped with corrosion and fingers glide down strings.
Do you generally clean your strings? It might help with the rust if you wipe the strings down after you play, especially if you sweat.
@@BenHalberstadt That would definitely help, I like to wash my hands before playing but I don't always wipe down my strings afterwards.
What do you recommend for durability then?

If you spriay your strings with WD-40 after you string them, and weekly after that, you wont get the rust issues.
This sounds like a horrible idea. Trying to ruin your guitar?
Don't ever do this.
That sounds like an awful idea
