@@Ryugine 👍🏼 ...And you won't be disappointed! I'm particularly looking forward to "Child in Time" because there's nothing comparable to this song in rock history!!
Thank you for the great review. speed King was first played live in 1969 and titled Kneel and Pray and then later that year changed to Speed King …. and recorded for the In Rock album along with a piano version …again great review
@@hognaut They recorded a piano version in 1969 and also has a great call and response with Blackmore and Gillan ruclips.net/video/JFwsRM_x7g0/видео.html
This record had an deep (!) impact on me! I used to listen to this record when I was only around 6 years young - it was my favourite record back then - talking about around 40 years ago.
@@Ryugine Even as Deep Purple is not my alltime favourite band: Their live album "Made In Japan" is my second favourite live record of all time! And before you ask: My favourite live album of all time is "Queen - Live Killers" (< third one is "Live At Leeds" by The Who). But the Japan-Recording is a Must-Have- Record for sure! *epic
As much as I really enjoyed the mk1 era, this and Machine Head are my favorites. In Rock starts off with an explosion and ends with a nuclear blast ! Everybody goes on about Child In Time, which is absolutely great, but IMO, the best song on the album is the last song on side 2, Hard Lovin' Man. They not only knew how to start off an album, they knew how to end one too ! Left a lasting impression on me. Fantastic !
Blackmore did'nt like the direction they were going and wanted to be a harder rock band. And he wanted a Jim Morrison type front man. When him and Jon Lord found Gillan, Gillan told them, him and Glover were a package deal. Because of the song writing, plus between the 2, they only had one good pair of pants they had to share. Peace
Hey I wanted to ask you, are you seeing many Led Zeppelin recent reactions? Most of what’s popping up for me are older ones I’ve already seen. I’m just wondering if it’s my RUclips, or if something is up that reactors can’t post them. Ones that were doing them pretty consistently, have like just stopped. One guy was starting from the beginning, & planned to do them in order, did Dazed & Confused & that’s been it.
@@sicotshit7068 Hi YOU yea i am kinda wondering the same thing with some of the other reactors as well & man i guess To Mito might NOT ever be coming back it has me very worried & concerned as he has not posted anything in the community thing or anything & did not say anything about taking a break or anything that i can remember so yea just **BigHugz** for him i am still just **Hoping** he is busy with stuff in his own life or maybe even decided to quit for whatever reason
