You did a great job - thank you for sharing your project with everyone! Ignore any petty criticism. The bottom line is you care enough for the Hummingbirds (and Nature) that you're willing to spend your time, money and skills to provide a bath for them. You ask nothing in return, but what joy you must feel seeing the hummingbirds preening in the water! Great job! !
Here for hours I am watching all of these wonderful videos of Humming birds bathing and I do have a bird bath but not one for Humming birds and my first thought when I saw your video was: "WTHAT A GREAT IDEA" and I have a glass top patio table aside waiting just for something like this and I can make this NOW ! ! ! ! Thanks for the idea. it is Great!
You can also glue in or rubber grommet (slide adjustable) an oversize down-tube where the water has to reach a prescribed level to spill out, like a Lake Dam Spillway or Toilet Tank Overflow. This way you can also attach a return hose too.
Hi garden girl, Your water feature is pretty neat. I bet those hummers think they are on a vacation at Disneyland. I have a fountain also and they mostly visit early morning shortly after sunrise for 1 to 2 hours. We're in So California where we have Annas Hummingbirds, Costas, and migratory Rufous. How about you ????

Carolle BUMP Get an oil drip pan and drill holes into it so the water falls back into the tub below it. in the tub; place a submersible pump, and enough clear plastic tubing to get up into the top rim of the oil drip pan. full the tub below with fresh water. Place cpvc at the end of the tubing, drill holes into the cpvc so the water sprays out of that. Decorate.
If birds responded as quickly as some are expecting, we would not have many hummingbirds alive for us to see. They have to notice it and then study it long enough to check out anything that might be a danger to them. When you see a hummer bath in other videos, the setup was long enough ago the birds were used to it and checked it many, many times for danger. They do the same thing when someone decides to put up a feeder for hummers. Some people forget they were doing this for the birds and not for the humans. People think if the Little buzzers don’t rush over the first day to enjoy what humans created, the birds don’t like it and they stop filling the feeders. And some of the people don’t understand their criticism of others efforts just make them sound like the generation who wants everything right now. And done for them. If you don’t like the raisins, keep it to yourself. Do people tell you everything they would change about you?
@Cardinal Red - I only made an observation. I put out hummingbird feeder all summer, no hummingbirds - I say the same thing. Where are they? I think fountain is very Cute. I actually love it. Sad to see it not being used...is all. Everyone here so touchy.
Summer A, I’m not the only person who thinks your sniping was obnoxious. “I only made an observation” really translates to “Because I have an opinion I will share it with everyone. I don’t care if I’m unfair and unpleasant.” You may not care if you are not pleasant but I can see other people don’t like your negative comments. Maybe you should become more sensitive.
Oh my goodness. This is perfect! Thanks so much for showing how you did it.

Love the raisins!
very neat! thanks for sharing!
California Raisens? Oh, ok, I thought they were Smurfs!
How is the water recycling back down into the big tote?
Drill hole in the pan, so water drops back into tub from pan's hole above.
It 'looks like' there's a hole under the "Grow.....' rock, and that table was once an umbrella table with a hole in the center.
How do you connect the clear tubing to the pvc? Thanks!
how does the water drain out
How big is your pump?
That is really nice!
How do you connect tube to pvc?
How do you control how much water goes back into the tub so the water in the pan doesn’t overflow ?

That's cool. Did you ever have hummingbirds visit?
Can you be bit more clearer on how to attach the tubing to the pvc?
That's a nice rock, you've got there.
Cool gunna try an make one for my wife 😊
WHAT A KIND THING TO DO FOR OUR FEATHERED PALS....ENJOY
omg the raisen are old i remember those when i was a kid
Christine Flores We got them back in the 80's!!
Thanks for the upload! Has this attracted a lot of birds for you?
john doe yes it attracts a lot of hummingbirds
great idea..but ugh the raisins...maybe some plants
How do you have the water returning to the pump? Small holes in the pan?
We drilled too many holes at first, but found we could reseal holes with clear tape over excessive holes.
I would love to try this, but how does the water return to the tub?
Just drill a hole in the pan for water to drain back into tub.
the table already has holes for umbrella pole in the center of table.
Does the water get hot being so shallow?
No, constant flow of water cools the pan, after all it's continually recycled
I Think the water going a litte to fast needs to make the hole smiler
Can u send me the instuctions !!thanks

@@patElfpat - Stop being so touchy. I made an observation.
