Becky, I watched another hummer bath video earlier last month and I was trying to come up with ideas to build one, and here you are with Aiden showing me just that. Thanx so much!!!!
Your Grandson did a Fantastic Job pointing to exactly what you were describing so very well. This project looks Wonderful. Thank you so Very Much for this Beautiful Video. Please do more videos. I thoroughly enjoyed this first video. Did a Excellent Job on this video. God Bless You for Sharing this project with us. Love Tamson from Kentucky 💕 💕🌼 🌷😇 💖 🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦
I really liked this bath,so I picked up a large commercial tray at yard sale, painted it,have my pvc piping, have the barrel & pump, need the elbows etc next! thanks for the inspiration!
They're so special. Saw my first "Hummer" when I was about 3-and-a-half years old. I thought it was a big bug trying to "get" me. HaHa ! Even now, on the rare occasion I see one, they still surprise me briefly. And I came across a female ruby- throated hummingbird with an active nest once. It's always a good idea to keep a small brush pile for them to find spiders to feed their babies and for webs to build their nests. No pesticides or herbicides as long as I live here. Just a rainbow of self-sowing Morning Glories. Enjoy !!!
Thank you for making this video I have been wanting to do something similar but your supply list will help me get started now! Great ideas! I hope your hummingbirds love it! Be sure and video there enjoyment of it😀
Well done Nana , Aiden you did a great job as well mate it's given me food for thought , IV wanted to build a bird bath for ages and could never make up my mind how to go about it I think I'll copy your idea even though there's no hummingbirds here but I'm sure tche fairy wrens and other small birds who grace me with their presence will give it a go as well. Lucky hummingbirds well done.😘🙋
I'm only 1:20 into the video and I LOVE it!!! I've been trying to figure out what I can use because all of my other birds bathe but my Hummers don't. Thank you so much for sharing this!
Pretty neat idea...this just showed up in my suggested videos today. I've seen another one that used the oil drip pan and the PVC pipes with the holes drilled in. His looked quite a bit different from yours; I actually like both of them. I like your barrel idea underneath yours - makes it look really rustic and pretty.
NICE, looking forward to the update, I hope the hummingbirds are enjoying it. I have a lot that hang around, we for a bunch of rain and I noticed them bathing in the little puddles on the patio. (in NW NM) was thinking about doing the same thing. Thank you for the ideas😊
Wonderful video, every gr ma and GR child needs a diy like this w as much re purpose stuff laying around you can find, then order pump online, lol. Avoid pandemic. I would suggest making at least one feeder near by to spark interest, but w that set up you'll have a migration flock soon!
Grandson Did fantastic. Kept you on point !and maybe seeing hummingbirds using it would have been a plus .. just sayin .. well 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻Done for your first video
🐦🕊🐥🐧🦅🦢🦆🦩🦉🦜🦚🐸 BECKY & AIDEN... THANK YOU SO MUCH!..What a fine Job you did Aiden helping and Becky, BEAUTIFUL JOB ON EVERYTHING!Can you PLEASE put one up of the hummingbird s? So looking forward..BLESSINGS🌺🌸🌹🌼🌷
Great first video effort!! Hummingbird Bath looks beautiful. I saw another similar video using the plastic plants, couldn't figure it out, but it's actually the best idea. Real plants would make the water dirty fast. Plastic ones give you the effect, and can easily be cleaned as needed. And yours are pretty realistic looking. I think you guys did a great video, and look forward to seeing one with all the hummingbirdies splashing in your clever creation. Your camera work is perfect, and Aiden did a splendid job of "Carol Merril-ing".😆😆😆
Great idea and set up.. Checked into Autozone and their pan is galvanized, which means that it is treated with zinc and zinc is toxic to bird and animals. I found a stainless steel tray on amazon and used that. Work great. Thanks for the idea.
You know another benefit of the log being in the barrel, is by some off chance wildlife falls into the barrel unsuspecting and cannot get out the log will assist them in escaping. It's always a good idea to put some structure inside of barrels or anything collecting water in case this should happen.
Fantastic! Did you know that your can rough up that white pvc pipe and paint it to look like the wood around your vines and wood? Check it out eithernon Pinterest or RUclips. It will completely disguise that white pipe. You certainly don't have to, the hummer bath is awesome! And Grandsons are AWESOME! ❤
Kathleen a. Flynn I think i saw another similar set up, where the guy used an "L" shape pvc w/elbow. Otherwise you could probably use two that joined with a "T" connection. Wouldnt be too hard on the pump, but i wonder if the amount of water coming out would be less? This is a great idea, might try it myself!
How did you connect the pump to the PVC pipe? Love this and would like to recreate it, but the outlet on my pump is small compared to the pipe. Thanks.
Wonderful Bird Bath, but perhaps you should consider painting all the PVC Pipe and fittings. The way they are looks a bit tacky!! SuperSniperSal The GUNNY USMC Disabled Vet
I have never seen humming bird at my trumpet vine...but see them flutter aceoss the yard to someplace..ive been looking for something like this.to make them stop
I'm glad Aiden was there to point to stuff so we knew where things were. thanks Aiden~ thanks grandma! 😉🌻
That's really a cool setup!
A beautiful bird bath. You did a great job!!! Thanks to Aiden for helping to point things out.
How kind and thoughtful you are. Mother Nature is smiling upon you🌾
Good job Aiden and grandma!
Alden is a smart and very professional assistance to professor . He will be absolutely excellent student in university. Thanks.

Your trumpet vine is Beautiful! Would you send your hubby over here to make one for me? :)

Love it! Can you show an update with hummingbirds? Do they love it or was there adjustments you had to make?
I agree & was hoping to see that at the end too.
Maybe they'll do another video!
Wow. That’s amazing!!!😁

Good point!
