Totally get your comments about bad drivers and yes they usually drive higher powered cars like BMW’s. Fish and chips looked gorgeous, really enjoying these vlogs on your work. 👍
@@antonyadamson7117 we stayed at donkey creek last year, we are in Barrow in furness so it’s a nice site to visit without travelling too far. We plan to return this year, hopefully to meet you and sweetie pie. You are a totally down to earth couple 👍
Hi Tony, As an ex lgv driver and fellow caravanner, I can only agree with all you have said, must pass the truck and the caravan 😮 Give em inch and there in 🥴 Used to drive a DAF and they have something similar and yes I turned it off. Safe trucking. Paul.😊
I really enjoyed your video. Thank you for the mentions. Soon be on Donkey Creek. Looking forward to watching you in the new season. Keep safe pal and see you soon. Cheers Maurice
Hi Deb, hope you're all ok. Didn't Tony do well. Excellent video, really interesting to watch. I'd watching a part 3. Great editing as well. It was definitely the Tony show this week 👍, See you soon Andy 👍
Another great video. Not many people know about that breaking system. I will certainly be more mindful of that when I am towing or even just driving. BMW 😮
Brilliant video Tony, great to see you at your work, doing that you love. Must say the food looked fantastic too. Agree with you about BM drivers but there are knob heads driving other cars too. i see it myself when i am driving to jobs with aggressive drivers cutting in at the last minute, take care out there and see you in a few weeks at the donkey creek 👍👍👍
Tony, thanks for putting out these videos about HGV, i'm really enjoying them. I do enjoy my caravan like you, I'm a wannabe HGV driver, always fancied a go but never had the chance to switch trades so to speak. I think backing onto bays with a HGV, looks straight forward, compared to reversing a caravan on to a pitch, or its just the work of a professional :P
Hi Tony. Totally agree about the emergency brakes coming on when someone pulls infront. I have the same problem as you mate. Great video have a good week mate Paul and sarah
Hi Tony... we really enjoyed those videos... really interesting to see how the days go for a trucker... and as always, done with a bit of humour... thanks for sharing mate 👍... Dave and Jane
Thanks dave and Jane I really enjoy making them lol It's only to keep you lot interested whilst we are of caravaning for 8 weeks and they seem to do OK 👍
Hi Tony great blog as always . Thanks for the shout out. I get what you mean about bmw drivers but I have a good friend who drives a bmw mini (a sliver one lol)... keep up the good work me and paula watched it on Lancaster service having a coffee 😊
I can sympathise with u Tony about the silly buggars pulling in front of u. My son Inlaw is a road train driver in Oz and some of the near misses he’s had with the silly people doing that same thing is not good and u have every right to call him a knob Enjoying this vid cheers
Another enjoyable vlog Tony. That auto breaking looks a problem. Like the food set up you certainly don't go hungry. Suppose in the summer it all salads and muesli and whole grain biscuits 😂 . Stay safe. C U in a bit 👍
Another good truck video you need to keep these up even when we get to see you both back in the caravan and we could do with Mrs addy blogs also see how you spend your days love you both much love from North wales
on a brighter note booked Easter long weekend away in our van to Holmston Hall Nr Oulton Park will do a spot of fishing as the have some cracking fishing lakes on site. Also we have a brand new awning for this year. Happy Days
Hiya... great vid... as usual... really hope you're both ok?.... We're off to the NEC for the caravan and motorhome show a week Friday....good way to get the new season started....we literally ca n't wait until we can go to our pitch...take care Paolo and Rog 'The Camp Caravanners' xx
It is frightening when it happens for the first time lol.. loud siren plus the hazards are flashing 😂 I got out and went to the car behind to apologise. Frightened me to death lol
Hi, Tony. I 100% agree with you about the emergency breaking system. It is lethal at times, but that's all because of the idiots that pull in front of us.. You'll never guess what I'm at Grantham tomorrow, pal. Great vlog ❤
Hi Tony /Deb Totally understand your frustration with other drivers. Especially HGV they get far to close to each it's like. Look I've got a faster truck than you. It's dangerous and puts other road users in a bad place. I've seen them pass me whilst towing our caravan and it's frightening to say the lest. Especially if it's windy god knows what the truck driver feels. But I cringe at the sight of any HGV passing me. Well done for the vlogg Kept them coming. stay safe. 👍
I agree Paul My trucks governed to 56mph but some truck (tippers and tankers) come past me like i am stationary and only feet away from the truck in front I think they should be made to go on a driver safety course 👍
Hi Tony great vid and very informative. See you soon in Morrisons again got a new right knee now too .had the op 15 th dec and well on the way to recovery
Evening both. Had a 400 mile trip to buy a new tow car yesterday completely spoiled by a 'professional' trucker sitting about 12" behind me on the A9. I wish he'd had one of those cameras fitted. Before you ask, yes, I was driving at the speed limit, faster than he should have be going. Anyway, It wasn't you Tony, you're better than that and no, I didn't buy a BMW 😁👍
You need to get your collision warning recalibrated. The reason this happens is that you’ve had a near miss somewhere in the past. They all have different tolerances and need to be calibrated. Hope this helps with the whiplash.
If you’re a big company you tend to have in house mechanics. This is a good thing in a way as they tend to know the trucks story. The bad thing is that you don’t get the updates unless your boss brings a Volvo mechanic in to do the updates. I just got my gearbox done. As I shunt to the docks most of the time. After dropping a heavy trailer and picking up a empty. The truck thought it still had a heavy load on and was revving like mad. All it took was a simple computer update. Plus that brake problem you have happened to one of our drivers. He had a close call on the A500 at the Hanley roundabout. And the Volvo braked for him. It kept on doing it on doing it with cars coming out from slipways. I actually took his truck to Volvo to get it seen about as I know the mechanic very well. And he was the one that told me about the calibrations after a near miss. As the truck needs it cleared because it thinks it’s in like a danger mode. I hope it gets sorted for you. Keep er lit.
@@antonyadamson7117 hi mate just wondering did your boss get your collision warning looked into. I mentioned it to a couple drivers on the boat one day. And I couldn’t believe how many Volvo lads had this problem. Plus we have another great piece of help. You know how a Volvo mattress gets crap over a year or two. And they want £250 to get a crappy foam replacement. Well did you know a normal small single mattress 75x190mm fits perfectly. We have all got these vesgantti mattresses of Amazon for a hundred quid best money I have ever spent.
I’ve just spent 7 hours doing my safe and efficient driving DCPC course today and we mentioned the safety systems installed on trucks. When it goes in for service get them to set it up so it’s not so aggressive. Hat off to you btw I spent a few years tramping and it’s not a life I’d go back to. Plus I was in an FM car transporter and not a gobstopper like you have. 🤣 I’d do a vlog of my present job but unfortunately the customer doesn’t allow it…. As for editing it’s a thankless job and debs makes it look so easy with how prompt your weekly vlogs are. Please no more trucks I see them 5 days a week😂😅 joking btw. Good showing people the 💩 we put up with.

They are usually restricted to 56mph but some (not mention who) don't give a s##t 👍
HGV drivers are a pain in the arse. Impatient drivers, sit 6” off your bumper then overtake you which takes 2 mins for them to complete the manoeuvre.
