So happy I made the decision to have cataract surgery, my vision is superb and far better than I ever expected. I can see as far as I can look without blurriness, colors are very bright and vibrant. I still need reading glasses for my computer but even looking at the computer with my new eyes is very exciting. I highly recommend cataract surgery if you have cataract in your eye.
I'm still pretty young but had cataract developed early on my left eye. I was sad & upset 😔 and tried to wait longer but until I almost hit the car right next to me because I couldn't see well. After that I decided to have surgery and I just had it for both eyes 5 weeks ago. My surgeon recommended Vivity Toric lens for my astigmatism and previous lasik. I can now see 20/20 for distance (no halos at night) , intermediate and I can read without glasses except very tiny fonts. I see everything so crystal clear and beautiful now and that makes me so happy. Glad I found a good surgeon near where I live.
Cataract surgeons should be forced by law, to tell prospective clients what percentage of their patients have or are experiencing eye problems, after surgery?
I got cataract surgery in both eyes and I am so very sorry I ever had it done. I hate my vision now, it has depressed me to the max. My nearsighted vision was taken away from me 100% and I have to wear these idiotic, annoying close up vision glasses that are a total pain in the butt. Getting this surgery was the worst decision I ever made in my 68 years of life, I wish I could turn back time.
I had my surgery on my right eye about six weeks ago. Every time I stop using that final eye drop, I have severe pain in that eye in less than twenty four hours. I have lots of floaters and flashes. I have been back to the doctor three times in the last two weeks. I am trying not get get discouraged. Except for the cataract, my vision was pretty good before the surgery, so I am not experiencing the amazing transformation so many of my friends, acquaintances and coworkers claimed they had.
@@visontherapy I have been told that I have iritis. I’m on one steroid drop a day. My sight is better, but I’m still experiencing lots of floaters. The flashes seem to have stopped.
@@jandmvideos9051 I suffered with irisitis/uveitis. Extremely painful. The eyedrops used were burning my eyes. It was dreadful. Try changing drs to see if you can get more helpful care. I am sorry you're having problems.
After my left eye (second) was done, I had many problems. Small black dots before my vision that never goes away. Blurred distance, especially! I am concerned that my Medicare and supplements will not pay for another doctor, and I DO NOT want to use the first one! He said I might need ANOTHER surgery. I am so disappointed as I can't function like this!
It's called floaters they were always there u just see them clearer now cause maybe Ur vision is better now ,I can barely see but I see the floaters all day long in both eyes learned to live with it at least it's not painful, all the best .
I also had cataract surgery on both eyes about 2 years ago and now I have blurry vision! I went back to doctor-and he said that happens to 50% of patients getting cataract surgery😳. I think I would have been better off not having the surgeries because my eyesight was not as blurry then. I think there are complications with the YAG surgery that is recommended to having to clear blurry vision😩. Yikes! Hind site is 20/20🤪. Lol
Eye doctors should be forced, by law, to tell patients all of the possible side-effects of cataract surgery & what percentage of patients get them! I'm 77 & may need it in the future, but in no rush! Good Luck!
My cataract surgery was less than successful for my left eye. From day one have had a line across my vision. Also the starburst or halos never went away. The surgeon after 2 check ups said it's fine. My HMO required me so see an optometrist before I could see the opthalmologist again. She said I had cracked eyes!!!!! What???? So long story short, I self paid for a second opinion from a prior PPO opthalmologist. Turns out the lens is not in the correct position, and the line I see is the edge of the lens. The halos I still see at night are because the eye dilates and the light leaks around the lens. I asked if it was something I had done, he said unlikely, as I would have had to been hit in the eye to dislodge it. Correction is not recommended, as could cause complications.
I've seen videos from Dr. Shannon Wong showing patients who had similar problem as you described and they came to him to replace the lens and they were able to see well or better after that. Based on my experience, having surgery done with good doctors would reduce many problems and have better outcome/result.
These comments definitely give one pause. I had the left eye done earlier this week with a high end multifocal lens and it went fine, with vision much sharper and everything brighter. Today at the store suddenly I was aware of my nose in front of my face, which I guess is a factor in the brain getting used to the new vision. That sensation seems to have largely disappeared in the last few hours. I am getting occasional flashes in the edge of the field of vision--again, the physician says this will disappear as it is just adjustment. What is interesting with the one eye done is that blue looks much sharper (which it should, the naturally yellowing lens has been replaced with a clear one). Last night I told my wife her workout shirt was really purplish. She disagreed, but the sky looks as deep and bright as when I was a kid...if I use only the left eye. Will have the other one done next week. (I'm 72, have an excellent MD.)
As an artist who paints with color, I’m concerned. I’m due to have cataract surgery however reading about the color perception afterwards is giving me pause! Firstly, I don’t see a “haze of yellow” anywhere, and I look at tubes of white oil paint all day! Second,” red appears magenta, black appears navy and brown looks like purple” is not okay! Monet had to wear blue blocking sunglasses when he was in his studio painting after cataract surgery and it was a disaster! But he had no choice, he was going blind. I just passed my DMV vision test, but my reading glasses need stronger prescriptions. Fifty years of studying color thrown out the window in one 15 minute surgery? Worth it or not? What about 20-50% chance of opacification? Permanent dry eye?
I'm 56 years old, I had cataract surgery in my right eye about six weeks ago, and I am not the least bit happy with it. I spent $4,000 out of pocket AFTER my two forms of insurance covered their part, and I still have cloudy vision. I've been back to the ophthalmologist who performed the surgery twice, and he tells me everything looks perfectly normal, and I just need to give it more time, but I swear it's as if I didn't have the surgery at all. It's as if I'm still looking through a cloudy cataract. I am absolutely crushed over it. Now I'm wondering if I should even bother having my left eye done.
@@visontherapy Thank you for your response, and also for responding so quickly. I don't know if there's any advice you can offer for how I move forward. I understand you can't and wouldn't be offering medical advice, but what should be my next step? Also, I do have another issue I'm wonder if you could comment on as well. Let me start by saying I'm one of those people who really doesn't do anything without first doing a relatively extensive amount of research. However, I've yet to run across another person who describes their cataract surgery experience to be anything like what I experienced. During my surgery I was in an incredible amount of pain. Leading up to the surgery I was told by my ophthalmologist that I'd be sedated much like I'd been sedated for the handful of colonoscopies I've had over the years. Not entirely asleep, but sort of in a twilight. For every colonoscopy I've ever had, they might as well had just given me a general anesthetic, because my experience was just like going completely under. However, when I had my cataract surgery, I wasn't under, I wasn't in any sort of twilight, and I most certainly wasn't made the least bit comfortable. In fact, I was ENTIRELY lucid to the point that if they'd sat me up, I could have done my taxes right then and there. It was literally one of the most painful experiences of my life. So much so that I left there that day pretty traumatized, and literally had a nightmares about it that night. I was in so much pain during the surgery that they had someone holding my legs down just below my knees because I simply could not lay still. I recall right near the end he finally asked the anesthesiologist to give me more medication, but there was no change in the pain level or in my consciousness at all. It was as if they were injecting nothing but water into my IV. Also, after the surgery the ophthalmologist said near the end of the surgery he got what he called "a surprise." He said as he was finishing up, and was sucking out the viscoelastic that some of my vitreous fluid was sucked into the little pocket where the lens resides, so the surgery took much longer than expected, because he had to remove that vitreous jelly. He said in all the years he's been doing cataract surgeries, he's never had that happen before. So could that be what's causing my issues now? As I said, twice I've been back to see him, but he says everything looks normal, but for me, when looking through that eye, I can say for certain nothing looks as it should anymore. Should I be going elsewhere to get a second opinion? My current clinic is Swagel Wootton, which to my understanding is a pretty reputable place. I just don't know how to proceed from here.
I had my cataract surgeory 6 months ago and now i am facing cloudy vision again, i rushed to the dr., he said nothing wrong in the surgeory and after 6 months i have to go for a majour cornea surgeory. I am now under pressure and worry. This is definetly happened from the surgeory i believe.
Been almost two years and still cannot see out of my right eye even after 3 follow up surgery’s and a round of steroid shots into the eye(and that’s not fun!) Like looking through a steam bath Would been better off livening with out the surgery!!😡😡😡😡
I had an epiretinal membrane on my left retina for 16 years that was finally removed 8 months ago. The eye is recovering reasonably well but I've got left over double vision due to the extended period of time that the left eye I was out of commission. Now I'm having cataract surgery on my right eye in two weeks. It sounds like I'm headed for the same type of treatment that was described in the video. I was told I'll need to see a neuro-ophthalmologist after the cataract surgery.

I had cataract surgery on the left eye 11 days ago and vision in that eye is still very blurry. The doctor says it will clear up, but i have my doubts. My vision is faf,far worse after the surgery, I was going to do the other eye one week after the first eye, but cancelled the surgery. I wish I had left things alone.
That is the exact same thing that's happened to me and the doctor told me the exact same thing. It's been almost 3 months and my vision on my left eye is 10 times worse than it was before the surgery. I don't know what to do at this point if anybody has an advice please let me know.
I am in the same position 4 weeks after surgery on my left eye. I can see the print on the TV but outside is is very cloudy. I also now will need special built reading glasses because my OTC ones dont focus for me.
Research before you have the surgery, I wished I would have, didn't know my eye doctor was at the bottom of the list of good eye doctors, it made my eyesight worse, my eyes are constantly cloudy and watery all the time,, my sister has to have cataract surgery and now she is afraid. But she has researched and not going to the same place I did.
Unfortunately, most are limited to what they were taught or what the board has approved. But yes, there are a lot of post cataract complications reported.
I had Cataract surgery in both eyes last October. Since then my eye's have been so uncomfortable. I have soreness pulling and pressure on sides of eyes. My eyes feel so dry and I have to put an ointment in them every night and drops during the day. If I had known how it would be I would not have had it done.
I had months of steroid drops. Now I have dryness. One eye done before Medicare and one after. I got screwed on the pre Medicare price. And poor vision in one eye.
I had cataract surgery in 2020, and I am still having problems with blurry, weak eyesight, soreness and distance seeing. What can I do to improve my vision? I am 60.

Had the surgery and a new lense put in. Still the same doc. Nothing has changed. Talked to the head surgeon and he says, "You're done. We are not touching the other eye." Realizing that they couldn't fix the left one. This stuff doesn't work for everybody.

Need cataract surgery and cornea transplant in both eyes. I am fearful of a rejection because I have other health issues. So I was planning on doing one eye first. How soon would you do the other eye?
Wait as much as you can if you don't wanna go blind due to both rejection. Doctors are greedy don't tell all the truth. Mom got cataract surgery at 75 gone blind after surgery got scared due to bad surgery. So gone both blind and kidnapped by social services for her pension and got killed in care home. I got mine at 56 so worried.don't trust all the Dr's .just 1 friend is pleased at 70. Other had both cataract they are bad she does not see at all too.All depends on your host and disease too. If you have to do just one only...
My left eyes vision has become again cloudy and blurred that hampers reading and writing in computer. Right eye was operated in Loma Linda University and is perfect till date after more than two years.
It could be a ‘secondary cataract’ which is not really a cataract, but a membrane that didn’t stop growing over the new lens, once the body has accepted the new lens. It is easily fixed with a quick laser treatment and will never come back after that. This common condition can happen over the course of a few Months post op.
Water wicked around my cornea during surgery (left eye) and for 5 days it looked like I was looking through a fish tank. Was prescribed salt drops to help pull the water out. It was scary but is okay now. 😅
I have halos at night. Otherwise my vision is good. My doctor said I do have cataracts but left it up to me as to whether to have surgery. Also he couldn't say to what extent the surgery would diminish the halos if at all. I would definitely be disappointed if my halos persisted or worsened after surgery. I am still debating whether surgery is worth it in my case and would appreciate any comments.
Hi Lincoln, we cannot give you a clear-cut answer on this are there are other factors that we do not have information about. The one thing to be aware of is that a botched cataract surgery can impair vision permanently. So thoughtful deliberation must be given to it.
Good afternoon ma'am, I'm 33 yrs old man, my cataract surgery had been done on last Sunday, vision is not good, esp. at the top and corner of the eye, seeing as wavy and not fully stretching. Please help me soon

My mom has a teary eye after 1 month of cataract eye surgery, sometimes she feels dizzy or she's like describing it like she's floating. what does it mean? Is this normal?
I am 32 years old am in process of having my second eye done, I've had lens replacement my left eye it was clear but now I am having really bad blurry, foggy vision now because I've gone almost a 2 months having blurry vision in one eye im hesitant on even letting them touch my other eye
I wish I had found these pages a few months ago. After left eye surgery, vision was much better than before. Couple of weeks later had right eye operation. Again it seemed to be an improvement, but then I noticed vision in both eyes deteriorating. Eye drops have made no difference. This is so upsetting, I had been looking forward to improved vision. I will not recommend this to anyone.
I wonder if cataracts are actually a fungus or yeast. I noticed when I cut process sugar out of my diet my vision improves. Less screen time helps too. Some days there are not clouds in my eyes. What I do notice is if there is alot of light behind some one I can't make out there face. I have a hard time seeing at night when bright car lights come towards me from the adjacent lane only. Hmmm
Thats an interesting observation. Sugar does cause a lot of problems. There also seems to be an increased incidence of cataracts in patient populations with glucose imbalances so your observation is logical and makes sense. Of course a balanced low sugar diet is definitely advantageous to the alternative "western" diet.
Had surgery on my left eye three weeks ago this coming Friday, the 12th. It’s a wow factor difference but my right eye now , which has a very small cataract can be put on hold for a while. I see the doctor again July 19th so hopefully I can get a prescription to get me thru …. It’s Down right AMAZING just how good my left eye is! Plus which I didn’t know how in the world sumn like this could happen but I had/have herpes in my left eye evidently still🤷🏻♂️ I just hope and pray it doesn’t come back with a vengeance
My friend had her Cataract surgery but she cant see in front her lens got blood clots on her sides she can see lights I am from Pakistan is there anything the doctors can do. And why did this happened. Please someone guide me.
I've had cataract surgery in my severely lazy eye 3 days ago everything went well i can see better than before . But I'm 🎉 not 100% happy with the results as now my field of vision is reduced it's as if I'm looking through a telephoto lens everything looks bigger and not entirely in focus and also have double vision as both eyes are seeing different size image . Not sure what to do about it .
Hi Joseph, you need to talk with the surgeon about the lens. It seems as if you have monovision where one eye is at distance and the other eye is near. Also if you have double vision you need to have that evaluated..
The hospital optimitrist booked me for glasses he said I must come on the 12th of September. My eye is painful it feels like there is something in the eyelid.
I have copd and use inhaled steroids daily (symbacort). I've noticed a sudden change in my R eye cataract which, until now wasn't that bad. Will standard surgery fix it and will it return because of the steroid use? I plan to do the procedure before year end.
Hi there, this is a question that will be best answered by your surgeon. But it stands to reason that any side effects from persistent use of medication may persist regardless as that is its own presenting issue.
So how did it go? I have optic neuritis in both eyes. I’m totally blind in my right eye, but have light perception and can detect a little movement in my left eye. My neuro-ophthalmologist recommended that I get cataract surgery. I think the surgery is kind of pointless because I will still be blind afterwards, but I’m still kind of excited to see if maybe a little bit of my vision will return. I’ve been blind for 7 years now, I would love to see the faces of my wife and kids again!
Have had the surgery on both eyes and am left with large floaters and light sensitive eyes. Was given laser treatment which did not help. Dr. has dismissed my concerns. Very disappointed.
IF ALL YOUR LIFE TIME YOU HAVE ONE EYE NEAR SIGHTED AND THE OTHER FAR SIGHTED WHY NOT STAY WITH IT YOU HAVE GOOD DEPTH PERSION INSTEAD OF TRYING TO RETRAIN THE BRAIN TO FAR SIGHTED BOTH EYES ?...
I Had Cataract Surgery In Both Eyes Last Summer and Things Are Just Not Right With My Eyes I Do Have Trouble With My Distance and I Have This Ability All Of Sudden To See My Pupils Dilate in Different Types Of Light, and I Don’t Believe That My Cataract Surgery Helped My Already Existing Double Vision, I Constantly Also Have Glare Reflections ☮️

Hello thank you for this informative video. My mother got cataract surgery on both eyes 3 months ago. She has experienced quite some problems with double vision and painful eyes, which improved with corticoid drops and moisturising drops. But she still cannot watch television or read a book for more than 10-15 min because her eyes start feeling tired and painful. Very sensitive also to blue colours in television. Do you have any advise ? Thank you.

Haloes around lights can mean a few different things. Please make sure you go to your doctor with any unusual symptoms or phenomenon after surgery to be safe.
Well my vision went from bad to worse. Now I can't see far or close. To make matters worse the Dr. Asked when do you want to do the other eye. I told him I still read and see far why would I want that.
I have a question that I hope will be answered (by anyone who knows the answer) soon. Will some cataract in my eyes that make my vision 20/25 - 20/35 interfere with the effectiveness of vision therapy that I plan to start doing?
Can you please help, I cant find any info. After my moms surgery her eye was fine for 3 weeks, then suddenly one day all her letters she was reading got blurry. She also suddenly has a grey spot in the upper part of her visual acuity. The optomotrist said optic neurites happened but once admitted in the hospital the neurologist said something happened with the surgery and he could find no trace of optic neurites on mri or bloodwork. Is there any suggestions you have? She can see some spots crystal clean and its just the reading and the grey spot. Any advice would be highly appreciated I cant find any info on the reading element going, pleas help!!!
Where are eye drops that eliminate cataracts? Why has no one developed this? There are videos here on eye drops for dogs that eliminate cataracts but none for humans. Can someone please answer this? What is concerning is the RELEASE FORM all the eye Drs in my area want me to sign Before this surgery or they will not perform it on me. The Dr is held 100% Not responsible if something goes wrong in the surgery/treatment. This is highly concerning for me as I assume 100% of the risk. Thanks

Is it advisable to have cataract operation even if you hv an OCT reading of retina detachment n peeling.? Or hv the operation first? I think the cataract will not make my vision clear. Tnx

She needs to evaluated by a Dr immediately. It maybe a stroke or something else but youtube is definitely not the place to find out considering the circumstances. If she can’t get into the Dr she needs to go to the ER. We wish her the best.

After cataract surgery I am now a -5 in my left eye and my right eye is plano. The target was monovision for the left eye to see at computer distance. Whoops miscalculated ... Aka botched. Now I am anisometropia. Horrible nausea and dizzy all the time. Danger driving danger doing anything and taking lots of naps to get the nausea out of me. Dr implanted incorrect lenses. My vision is so jacked up that glasses cannot correct it ( have bought 3 pair of progressives) . BUT I can legally drive - so no dr is willing to fix it. I need readers for books, have to enlarge computer screens to work and cannot read road signs... but because I am not legally blind - he can count this as a success story. There needs to be more oversight as to who gets what lenses and double checking the power. my career is SHOT, had to change jobs. Selling all my sport and hobby gear.
I am terrified of having cataract surgery. I had an accidental tear in one eye last year, and they put a "contact bandage" on it. It was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. I have had broken bones that hurt less. Finally, after being awake for 2 nights, I told the doctors to take it out. If they did anything like that during catarat surgery, I would go insane. I wore hard contact lenses for 40 years and loved them. Never could get used to the soft contact lenses. I just can not adjust to messing with my eyes, especially after reading all these people having terrible outcomes after cataract surgery. Besides, they will never do cataract surgery because my blood pressure is too high and the anesthesiologist said I could have a stroke and my eye doctor said if my eye started bleeding, they would have to stop and I would lose my entire eye. I love my eyes.
A day or so after my cataract surgery I suddenly got a fairly significant floater. It appears to be attached towards the top (of my vision). It swings across my vision in the opposite direction of my eye movement - when I look to the left, it swings to the right, when I look to the right it swings to the left. It 'swings' because it appears to be attached at the top, so it swings like a pendulum. It is not free floating, does not rotate, and does not float around. Its position is stable. When I called my surgeon about it, she minimized it, said I would just have to live with it. It has been 5-7 years or so and is still there, although I notice it less. IDuring my regular eye exam today, the doctor didn't seem to know anything about it (this is someone different, not the person who did the surgery). Can you point me toward more information as to what this might be? What is this called? Where in my eye would this be?
@@visontherapy I was thinking that maybe it was (cortex?) material that wasn't fully removed from the capsule, that came loose after the surgery. Since it appeared a day after the surgery it seemed like it was related to the procedure. Is there a way to determine the location of the floater? If this floater is in the vitreous fluid or within the capsule were the new lens resides?
Unfortunately, we cannot diagnose without knowing more about you. We suggest you contact your surgeon or perhaps a second opinion from another surgeon.
Wow after my cataract surgery I started to see little black specks floating around. My daughter who has eye floaters told me it was floaters. I had no idea that could be a side effect of having cataract surgery. Thank you for telling about yours. I will pray yours and mine and others with this will clear up.

cataract surgery has destroyed my life!!!! I am a color consultant for a builder and an artist who could see the tinyest details. That is gone. I have lost color saturation in one eye. I was treated so badly that I now have PTSD from the experience. I lost my close-up vision, and my eyesight is getting worse every day. (11 months later) I have been to several doctors but when they find out who did the surgery, they refuse to help me. I paid almost $10k to have the Vivity lens not including Medicare cost on top of that. malpractice attorneys say that they can't make enough money from the case, they are not interested. I interviewed 3 of the top practices in the DFW area, I did everything I could to make certain I was getting the best care and still I am faced with losing my sight completely. so beware!
I had double and then triple vision in both eyes. I had both eyes done about a month apart. At first everything was fine and i could see much better. But, now I see 'stars' looking at thing like street lights and car headlights and my vision numbers are back to what they were before surgery Any help for that?

So happy I made the decision to have cataract surgery, my vision is superb and far better than I ever expected. I can see as far as I can look without blurriness, colors are very bright and vibrant. I still need reading glasses for my computer but even looking at the computer with my new eyes is very exciting. I highly recommend cataract surgery if you have cataract in your eye.
Thanks!
Looks like I am one of the lucky ones! My sight is so much better now! I do need reading glasses but that is not a problem.
It seems that you are. Congratulations!
Congratulations!!

Cataract surgeons should be forced by law, to tell prospective clients what percentage of their patients have
or are experiencing eye problems, after surgery?
From your lips. Not mine. But I would make sense wouldn’t it, considering the relatively high number of anomalous outcomes?
I got cataract surgery in both eyes and I am so very sorry I ever had it done. I hate my vision now, it has depressed me to the max. My nearsighted vision was taken away from me 100% and I have to wear these idiotic, annoying close up vision glasses that are a total pain in the butt. Getting this surgery was the worst decision I ever made in my 68 years of life, I wish I could turn back time.
With surgery all the eyes are never be the same.It improves vision with problems and glasses. I had surgery on 2 eyes.
Bad surgery.
Hi there. What your status now?
Nothing can be like your original eyelens....
Both my original eye lenses sucks right now ,I can barely see so I don't agree with u .
Lol
Eye doctors should be forced, by law, to tell patients all of the possible side-effects of cataract surgery
& what percentage of patients get them! I'm 77 & may need it in the future, but in no rush! Good Luck!
I've had the same thing happen to me and also wish I'd never had cataract surgery at all!😞
Plz don’t have surgery call YAG that worse I loose my right eye at 70% I can’t not see clear
Plz don’t have that yag 😢😢😢
@@IrmaMorales-g6qwhat is YAG? what does that stand for ?
Thank you! You are a wealth useful of information!
You are appreciated Purpose. Really.
That does not sound too exciting. And unfortunately, we hear this far too much. We hope it does get better for you!
Get a second opinion.
Been almost two years and still cannot see out of my right eye even after 3 follow up surgery’s and a round of steroid shots into the eye(and that’s not fun!)
Like looking through a steam bath
Would been better off livening with out the surgery!!😡😡😡😡
I had an epiretinal membrane on my left retina for 16 years that was finally removed 8 months ago. The eye is recovering reasonably well but I've got left over double vision due to the extended period of time that the left eye I was out of commission. Now I'm having cataract surgery on my right eye in two weeks. It sounds like I'm headed for the same type of treatment that was described in the video. I was told I'll need to see a neuro-ophthalmologist after the cataract surgery.

It can be fixed.

It could be a ‘secondary cataract’ which is not really a cataract, but a membrane that didn’t stop growing over the new lens, once the body has accepted the new lens. It is easily fixed with a quick laser treatment and will never come back after that. This common condition can happen over the course of a few Months post op.

Hard to tell. Generally not too long. Maybe 8 to 12 months
Had cataract surgery one month ago. Pupil still more dilated than my nonoperated eye. Is this normal and will the dilation decrease back to normal pupil size?
This is probably a question for the surgeon. Cataract surgery is quite hit-or-miss unfortunately.
My mom has double vision after cataract surgery and her surgeon did nothing to fix it and another eye doctor did nothing - I need to find her a new doctor - what do we tell them ?
We really cannot comment without know more about your Mother. Sorry. Just explain to the new doctor the best you can what happened.
After cataract surgery 3/21 left eye blurry all the time. Doctor won’t assume responsibility. Keeps giving me drops and says come back 6 wks.

What about concentric circles around headlights?
Haloes around lights can mean a few different things. Please make sure you go to your doctor with any unusual symptoms or phenomenon after surgery to be safe.
In about a year, it passes. Annoying as heck, but one day you just realise it's gone away.
Your brain will get rid of then in a few months.
If its multifocal lens. It happens
Will cataracts come back sometime?
These are questions you should speak to your surgeon about.
No.
Everything is great but if the wifi goes down I can't see sh*t.
I was pressured to have the surgery i refused
That’s unfortunate 😢
Well my vision went from bad to worse. Now I can't see far or close. To make matters worse the Dr. Asked when do you want to do the other eye. I told him I still read and see far why would I want that.
We are sorry to hear this.
I have a question that I hope will be answered (by anyone who knows the answer) soon. Will some cataract in my eyes that make my vision 20/25 - 20/35 interfere with the effectiveness of vision therapy that I plan to start doing?
Per Dr. Julie: It shouldn’t but the type of cataract will matter.
@@visontherapy I have NC type cataract, about 1+ in left eye, and 2+ in right eye. Does it matter? Can you please ask Dr. Julie to confirm?
Thanks
We wish we could help, but cataracts are not our field. We suggest you talk to your surgeon or eye doctor.
Because cataract surgery & the glasses industry,in general, is a muti-billion dollar
business & nobody in that business wants to "rock the boat" with a cure!
@@visontherapy This is literally a video you posted about cataracts. What do you mean they aren't your field?
If there were such drops, how would doctors and IOL making companies earn😂
Is it advisable to have cataract operation even if you hv an OCT reading of retina detachment n peeling.? Or hv the operation first? I think the cataract will not make my vision clear. Tnx
You should check with your eye doctor. We cannot diagnose via RUclips.
I did lens replacement surgery one month back but now im facing double vision and shadow vision😢 any solution for this?
Hi there, it depends on what is causing the problem. If it is due to the lens, we cannot help but if it is related to the ocular muscles, we can help with that.
@@visontherapy surgery time the surgen did holes in iris. that's why I'm causing problem with ith😶 .. is it treatable?
My mother had cataract surgery 8 months ago and visions are good until today suddenly at afternoon she had no vision on left eye like barely can see big things
What condition this is we are really scared please explain mam
She needs to evaluated by a Dr immediately. It maybe a stroke or something else but youtube is definitely not the place to find out considering the circumstances. If she can’t get into the Dr she needs to go to the ER. We wish her the best.
Thanks . How do correct astigmatism ? Can correct by prism

My surgeon fixed astigmatism at the time of the cataract op.
A toric lens can correct astigmatism.
I'm suing the doctor now because he thought I was still healing after months. Insanity! I'm turning him into the medical board as well. Wearing glasses I'm an expert puker. I am contact lens intolerant.

My special needs daughter have cat. Surgery a few months ago and one eye continues to have liquid on it and she is still on eye drops...is that normal?
We suggest you contact your surgeon.
Madam, I have done my cataract surgery on my left eye one month ago. But from the day 2, I am feeling that something is stuck in the left corner of my left eye and other thing is that I am seeing a black crescent type shadow to the left corner of my left eye. My doctor is saying that these will go away after a few months. Please send me your feedback. Thanks a lot.
We are not cataract surgeons, so we cannot really comment. We suggest you keep in touch with your surgeon.

Selling all my sport and hobby gear.
this is unfortunate.

I am 3 days out and have a black blob at top of my eye freaking me out
We recommend talking to your surgeon.
Best thing in both
I am terrified of having cataract surgery.
Its position
is stable.
Per Dr. Julie: It’s likely a vitreous floater or detachment. It will look like a string attached at one area and float around when your eye moves.
@@visontherapy I'll ask an expert whether it is possible to determine the location of a floater.
Wow after my cataract surgery I started to see little black specks floating around.
My daughter who has eye floaters told me it was floaters. I had no idea that
could be a side effect of having cataract surgery. Thank you for telling about
yours. I will pray yours and mine and others with this will clear up.
She's wearing glasses...interesting...

cataract surgery has destroyed my life!!!! I interviewed 3 of the top practices in the DFW area, I did everything I could to make certain I was getting the best care and still I am faced with losing my sight completely. so beware!
Thats unfortunate. Do you currently use glasses?
what was your eyegrade before?
I had double and then triple vision in both eyes. I had both eyes done about a month apart.
At first everything was fine and i could see much better.
But, now I see 'stars' looking at thing like street lights and car headlights and my vision numbers are back to what they were before surgery
