Picked up my 13 year old daughter from school today and told her of this amazing man . How he started his working life in a job , and doing music on the side at night : he became more popular and music become his full time job . Told her how he said that you should follow your dreams and if you fail , pick yourself up for these moments make you strong . Keep trying always .
I came home and pulled out a record and played this beautiful mans music .
He was so passionate that he gave everything till he could give no more.
    Eternally missed .
Thank you Mr Alwin Lopez Jarreau for sharing your gift of music .

Sir Al Jarreau took the time from his busy schedule & payed a visit to my Son's High Schools Music Dept in Moorpark,Ca in 2010. It truly shows the genuine & inspirational Man that he really was, Giving back & Supporting his Love of Music...... RIP Al Jarreau

This song takes me back to when I was roughly 4 or five years old, music my parents listened to. And hearing it in town on the radio blaring or on the bus. And as a result, reminiscing a time as a child in various locations; good, innocent, happy times.

He was as true voice master. I heard him the first time when I was just a kid, and I loved his music/voice straight away. He had the face mimic of a clown. I mean serious... He was one of the world's greatest vocalists of our time, a voice acrobat.

My heart skips a beat when I hear this King's voice. "It's like a rainy night in candlelight. And, ooh it's so romantic...."
