What type of mower is this? I'm almost sure one spring-recoil disk wont work with all mowers. I'm comparing my Honda with a Craftsman. I also notice that my craftsman doesn't have a bolt on the bottom of the recoil assembly (unless it fell out??), but rather has a plastic pin. Thank you for the video.
@@small_engine_repair I compared my Tecumsah with a Honda and they definitely are different ... after 8 days of lubing and hand turning I finally got it to retract on its own!!! - while I didnt take it apart, I am curious what would happen if I tried taking the plastic piece out ....
Thank you so much for showing and explaining everything so clearly, a dozen useless videos and articles before yours actually helped 🎉❤
Welcome
Great job again Robby ! That is one job I cannot stand to do . Catch you on your next one sir .
Especially when the spring springs!!! Getting it in there is a true test of patience.
@@small_engine_repair I totally agree with you .
Hey thanks you’re the only one I found with the exact problem, quick question tho, can’t I just put the spring back in place if there’s no damage?
Yes
Thank you, this helped me fix one
Glad it helped

I do not remember what mower this was on. Yes there are many different designs for these recoils.

would be nice to get a part number or link to the part.
Yeah I did not save that information. Google your mowers model and you should find it.
What’s the part number that you ordered?
Sorry that was long ago I do not remember.
Didn't even need a new spring just bend the ends and put it back in
Possibly
I'm trying to find some 1 to fix it
Gotcha
