Currently taking out the DPH on my 2014 f10… this thing is a beast to get out! Damn sensors nuts are impossible to get off
holy S*** that sound is lovely! :D
Nailed it Sean! Great video! Need a good in cabin video next! 😎
Doing this tomorrow with stage 2 dudmd on my 16 535D.
Scott, how did it turn out. What DP did you use.
I'm in WA doing same thing with DUDMD also, nice!
Nice! Are you doing the exhaust work yourself?
@@yellowshopbuilds I'll be doing the install myself but BuzzKen system with not sure what tip yet, ideally would get dual exhaust diffuser and make a Y at the end but probably stay with single exhaust outlet for now
How much is the BuzzKen setup? I assume you have an F10?
I’m in California and looking to install a catted downpipe with a tune to code out the EGR/SCR systems.
Thought process is to still be able to pass visual inspection portion of the CA smog test required every two years.
Any input on why this may not work? Any drawbacks from coding out the emissions hardware while still leaving everything in place?
For visual inspection, just gut the SCR and leave the EGR in place but use block off plates.
Sweet bro I did my EGR and I have stage 2 but I haven’t removed the exhaust lol I have to though
You are stage 2 with stock exhaust?! Lol you are restricting yourself!
I know Lmao After seeing this video I’m gonna do it today
Can I pass by DMV emissions inspection if I remove the DPF?
No
@@yellowshopbuildswhat can i do it , i want removal my DPF
Go for it
DUDMD doesn’t do the stage 2 tuning anymore! That’s a bunch of crap. I read that removing the dpf makes the car’s exhaust smells bad. Have you noticed?
This is true on both accounts. It definitely smells
if you still have the car, make a video explaining how you made the custom intake
It's a secret 🤫
Looking into dpf delete myself right now, glad to see some US spec 535d vids. So straight pipe, no muffler? I assume the flash is required to clear any codes? Dig the 4R too.
Thank you! You are correct, complete straight pipe. The flash (tune) will be required or I'd assume you will get the "No start in 200 miles" message.
Im gonna get the stock downpipe down soon and gut it since its like 700$ for a downpipe, but did you leave the sensors disconnected or you connected them back?
Connect them
Thanks for sharing the video. I need to do this to mine also ... Just wondering if you ever did EGR delete and add a Wagner intercooler?
EGR delete yes. Intercooler, no
@@yellowshopbuilds Would you mind sharing which delete kit you used? Or was it tuned out? I have heard that some of the N57 kits that are sold are not complete and missing some parts.
I believe I purchased my kit from tunemyeuro.com but I think they merged with another company. I would check out darkside developments
@@yellowshopbuilds Thank you for the information. Would love to see anything else you do to the 535D.
Unfortunately I don't have it any more
Awsome, did you get any errors when you removed the exhaust? Also what remap you have on? Have you thought of a popcorn limiter?
No errors, I had the car flash tuned before I actually started the car again.
The tune is from DUDMD, stage 2.
The car is a diesel so the burble/popcorn stuff isn't really do-able
Awesome, I’m thinking about going with a diesel Bmw. But what’s up with that rattling noise?
The noise on start up? I'm not sure, normally it's drown out with the cats and muffler
Did you ever figure out what that rattling noise was because my car has just developed the same noise? Does the noise go away when you start driving and return when you stop? Tia
I'm not sure what noise you're talking about
How much did this cost in total to do? Did you buy a whole exhaust system and remove the scr as well?
The only cost to me was the tune. I removed and gutted the exhaust myself
Gojira_HP wow did you notice any power difference? I’m planning on completely getting straight pipes with this tune.
Yeah, there's a power difference for sure
and also what have yall done with yalls intake ? because i havent found anything that i can install
I don't believe there is anything on the market as far as an intake. My exhaust is completely straight pipe
did u leave the scr in place?
No
did you have to jack the motor up or drop the subframe a bit to get the DPF out?
Not for RWD
@@yellowshopbuilds this makes me so happy🤣
Did you delete the egr and do a swirl flap delete too?
yes, you can permanently close the EGR valves with a software, no need to physically remove the EGR if you don't want.
I have the same car and looking to do this, how is the reliability? My car is a daily, do you recommend it for daily driving?
Reliability is actually increased, thus making it better to daily drive. I daily drive mine as well
Is there a lot of black smoke? Also did you remove everything dpf, scr and muffler?
I have a sound clip video in the BMW playlist that shows how much it can smoke. No muffler on mine. Exhaust is modified OEM for the stage 2 tune
Hello any updates about the reliability after removal ?
Reliability is increased with emissions parts removal
Did you remove the SCR/Adblue system or purchased a plug kit for it?
I haven't removed any def system at this time
Gojira_HP so I’m guessing the tune just turns it off?
Correct
Did you use Tunemyeuro downpipe or did I miss that
Stock downpipe, just gutted. Will get an actual downpipe in the future
Can you point me to a someone who can do the tune or was it local?
I used DUDMD for my F10 and my wife's F15. There is also JR (also good) and bpc (mixed reviews). I recommend researching those
what did you do with the resonator
Ain no Resonator at a Diesel ex haust System
What are you getting for mpg now
35-40
Why don't you put 15 inch high wood blocks under the 4 wheels next time works a little better.
No access to 15" wood blocks.
@@yellowshopbuilds i know not in the video, but for the nex time, make by your self, it was only a idea..but the video i like to se how you done it.
Hoe did you even take off the stock downpipe? I unbolted everything and still can't take it off for the past 5 hours
If it's X drive you need to lower your subframe and raise your engine
@yellowshopbuilds I just did it and I just needed to remove that big metal piece underneath and I had so much more space
Sounds like a 7.3
Sounds like 6.7 Cummins my guy
7.3 not at all
What an awesome wife....:)
How did you get it flashed? what did you use ?
A tuning company...
thought about doing this but thats too much smoke
I had a boost leak when this was filmed, there isn't much smoke when everything is tight and sealed
@@yellowshopbuilds i saw several other videos everyone smokes it seems
Well yeah, smoke is inevitable with full deletes.
@@yellowshopbuilds Is full delete only downpipe which means no dpf? Because i only needed to put downpipe for a chip to give more hp i dont care so much about the sound
Full deletes would be downpipe (dpf delete), SCR delete, EGR delete.
535d comes with two turbos and two apart tailpipes from each side of the car. Thisone on the video is just mapped 530d.
Mmm, nope. This is my car, it's US spec. US spec is a single vgt turbo, duel exit on one side exhaust due to the location of the def tank
@@yellowshopbuilds single turbo means 530d, 535d is biturbo
That's not what that means. Euro spec 535d is twin turbo. US spec 535d is single turbo... Do some more research
@@yellowshopbuilds that's why I'm saying you don't have a true 535d in USA
True 535d? What are you even saying? I'm in the US, it's a US spec 535d.... It's different in Europe...
How's the mpg after the tune??
It's kind of a catch 22. The mileage would be better if I kept my foot off the pedal lol currently at 31.3 with a heavy foot
@@yellowshopbuilds aha still better than most gas cars I'm thinking about trading my e63s for one of these just so I have power and good fuel economy 😎 a stage 2 tune on the e63s and you can almost see the gas needle move as you drive
Ouch lol I fuel the diesel like every 3 weeks
@@yellowshopbuilds no way😤! And it's tuned! I'm definitely getting one now!
You won't be disappointed 😉
