- Hey guys! I hope you you enjoy this video about my MUST HAVE MAC eyeshadows. These are the most used MAC eyeshadows that I own and that I know will work on a multitude of people. No matter what eye color or skin tone. I know that sometimes its easy to get excited about all the fun colors but TRUST me those are colors that honestly most people will get little to no use out of PLUS once you have a nice wardrobe of neutrals and mattes the sky is the LIMIT of what you can do with them.

So glad to see this! I feel like over the past couple of years on RUclips no one talks about the glory that is MAC eyeshadows. I started watching YT about 6 or 7 years ago and I built a large MAC collection of shadows and blushes/powders. None of them ever has failed me yet! No one ever mentions their MAC collections anymore -- ugh! I know a lot of girls/boys on here get a lot of products sent to them ... so it makes sense. But there is something about the MAC shadows that just have my heart. Great video...I need to get Red Brick!
One of my FAVE combos is naked lunch all over the lid, soft brown in the crease, sketch in outer v of the eye, mylar on the brow bone, nylon in the inner corner and saddle/sketch on the lower lash!

I agree; great job explaining why colors are her favorites...I've bought 6 of the eyeshadows (not all at the same time) and every time she hits the nail on the head. I absolutely love the colors and always regret not buying one more...she hasn't been wrong once. Colors look bland in pots but once on the skin - OMG amazing! I'm between NC25/35. You gotta check out her take on MAC blushes as well..."literally" awesome...ballbusting on "literally" but seriously go see it. soooo helpful. Honestly I believe she rocks with the advice/recomendations because she does make up on others not just on herself. I'm trying to bust her be wrong and no dice. Stay smart Whitney! :)
My go to colors for almost every look is ricepaper, texture, soft vrown and swiss chocolate. You can add any lid color and look amazing. I keep them in a seperate z palette so i dont have to hunt them down.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone use the phrase "eyeshadow wardrobe" but it is SO on point. It's so true that having a few things that really work and can all coordinate together, like an outfit, is really the key to makeup artistry! I am so glad someone finally mentioned Omega! It's one of my favorites. Same with Cork. I'm an NW15, so a lot of the RUclips cult favorites are too dark for me. I used to use Brun in my brows since I've got dark hair. I have 2 palettes full of MAC shadows and I have more than 1/2 of the shadows you mentioned. :) You're my makeup spirit animal, haha.

My favorite out of the 8 Mac eyeshadow that I have (lol I poor) is handwritten, second best is soft brown. I use both with all the colors that I have. Especially with Passionate omg it looks gorgeous

I have deep set eyes and a lot of eyelid visible. At 47 though, the lids are a bit crapey. Shimmery shadows like Satin Taupe emphasize that, so I look better with Cork, Soft Brown (though it's too orange for my taste) and also Preppy from Makeup Geek is gorg.

Hi Whitney new subscriber here, great video! I want a palette for everyday use, and I just got an empty MAC quad, with only brown script in it, but now I need help choosing the other 3! I have light brown eyes, and fair to medium skin.. Naked lunch or all that glitters? Handwritten or embark? Woodwinked? Omg I don't know! I love how warm tones make my brown eyes pop. A question: if you use painterly for example, do you need to use a shadow as a base anyway? Please answer! Thanks a lot!

I have every color mentioned but Rule and Red Brick. I just wouldn't know what to do withem, how to use them. Would you do a tutorial with them, please? Or, go-to looks with the others?

Call me crazy but I feel like Rule would be a good transition color to use with Sketch.
I love this video!!! I literally watched it several times. Thank you so much for sharing it Whitney. I took your advice and got the soft brown & rule and these are my only matte colors on my neutral palette. I'm terrible at picking matte colors because the shimmery ones tend to get my attention more. Would you be so kind to help me pick 2 matte colors that are versatile for my skin type? I'm having a hard time deciding which 2 matte colors to get to add to my neutral palette. I'm Asian and I have light to medium yellow/warm skin undertone (I wear Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation in light-medium sand. I hope this helps). I'm also debating whether to get sable or mulch or is it worth to get both for a different effect? Thank you so much in advance for your help Whitney.

maria jose arevalo I would use something like saddle in the crease...honestly once you have that crease color down the possibilities are endless..you COULD bust those in the crease as well but I just personally stay away from any kind of shimmer in the crease because i kinda have to carve out the shape on my hooded flat lids and shimmer just makes it look less defined.

Just curious, does MAC online offer the same benefit when you send back an empty pan of the palette fills as they do in store with makeup empties? :) My local MAC store advised they don't accept the palette fill pans since they don't sell them in store, but they are my fav way to grab the MAC shadows.
