I thought the same thing about his NF collab when I heard that burden bar. Interestingly enough he also mentioned the word lost in the Arrival trailer and he played NF yelling the lost chorus in the background when he said. Seems like he might have paid homage to NF in both tracks. I personally think he took a lot of inspiration from NF connecting storylines in his music ever since he did the collab with him.
Hopsin has always been about storylines go back and Research hop been doing this for a long time.
@@gunnermaul2297 nah Hopsin has always told stories in his songs and had a message to the song but it usually lives on its own. It’s not a connected story through multiple songs and videos. Look at his ill mind series. All had a substantive message or story but those weren’t connected to each other. They stood on their own. I’ve been listening to Hopsin for years.
He himself actually caught it when he reacted to Arrival. He kinda does bring back certain milestones, things where his rise/change began to some other level (mentally/literally). Usually ones that captured peoples attention.

You mentioned he looked like Sub-Zero with the mask. Not sure if it's a stretch, but a few things I noticed was when the line "Thats fire" dropped the mans skull went up in flames like Scorpion. Hapkido is the stance Scorpion uses, thus the martial arts pose. Also White contacts. Scorpion has white eyes.
nothing hopsin does is by accident or coincidence... he does same thing at 9:19 when he says "pipe down, amigo" but pauses and drags amigo out to sound like 'Eagle" then he's dressed like the dude from Assassins Creed... none of this is by accident. then says "dont ask how i stack my C notes" ... Sea notes, then goes on a Pop Eye scheme who is a sailor...

@@lillyvanpug Yeah he used to be Christian, then turned away from it. I think he is referencing radical Christians who are always trying to bring people to Jesus, saying your radical stage has no place in my face, like he isn't trying to hear any of it. Then the praise to Allah line, sounds like his revelation to the public that he has embraced the Muslim faith, which makes sense for this to be called "Rebirth".
