You know, a lot of fast songs have me kind of...giving up on following along, so to say. I'll just get to a point, probably pretty quick where I'll just kind of zone out, ride out the song, i might, likely, find it relaxing. But this? This wasn't relaxing at all! I was engaged! Course, it wasn't all fast and that's quite to do with it, buildup, you see, and there was a balance of just rocking out and then anticipation towards the muddle, but when it picked up, rather than letting it wash over me, i did a little headbang, I grinned and raised my fists to the air! I was following along! My heart was beating! It was exciting! And a bit scary, which was nice, some of that. Ah, new emotional experiences are wonderful, and I'm eager to feel more emotions as i continue to listen to you! All of them! Even the ones you don't expect, like nausea! Or the flavours of plastic, or too much sugar that it tastes bad, or that gross too much lipid flavour. Horrify me! Make the kind of music that I can't play Megaman Battle Network while listening to because i immediately pause it to tune into the song! Gahahahaha! This must be what the old, big, bear pelted warrior-chiefs felt like! I feel physically large, and capable of activity! Perhaps this is workout music! It's too warm to try and I've got a bad toe, but I'm gonna remember this for when it cools down, ohhhhh yesssssirrrree! That and i already burned out all my energy listening to it the first two times. Pretty good song, good work. 👍.
I appreciate that so much😭 I’m glad you felt that way about it and I’ve been hearing a lot of people say similar things like using it as work out music XD it was sorta my first full attempt at Breakcore and the idea came way later in making this cx oddly I think how the first half goes leading to it, makes it feel faster and crazy which felt so satisfying cx I definitely wanna keep leaning towards that analog horror/eldritch horror aura for my remixes^^
@WitcheswithGlitches I didn't realise this was Breakcore...finally, I've found good Breakcore! It's not just the same few samples! You're actually doing the thing! You're fulfilling Breakcore's vision! Where the percussion supports the song instead of sitting irrelevantly alongside it...where it's not just one of four samples! Hallelujah, it's not Amen! Funnily enough I think the balance of kick drum in this gives it a more "Breakcore if it was based on house, rather than drum'n'bass" kinda feel, but again, you use other sounds building into the kick drums sometimes, and you have other noises that are also varied in rhythm alongside it so it's kind of more jazzy in structure where everything works together, even as it changes up rhythm. I think that's what chiefly holds my attention to the rhythm, and therefore the song, actually, is everything being aligned. Hmm...yeah, I think I like either odd rhythms with odd melodies following alongside them, or a steady rhythm, with an odd melody going off and doing its own thing. Or, of course, steady rhythm, steady melody that matches it, long as they both sound good, I'm fine with being a normie.
