[FLIGHT TAKEOFF] Delta A220-100 - Snowy Salt Lake City Takeoff to San Francisco

SLC-SFO: You gotta love that new plane smell. Not my first flight on an A220 but it was with Delta. Lucky to fly on such a great snow day. This video is longer than I usually make them but the taxi included going to the far runway for de-icing. During the procedure, the runway closed and we had to taxi back to another runway. Video includes de-icing for us and many other planes. We took off about 50 minutes early but still arrived on time.

Talk to A220 pilots and ask them how it compares to the 757's takeoff and climb performance. Then book an A220 ride on a rainy day or from an airport with a really short runway.

Nice video. Love the snow and de icing part. I was in Denver a few weeks back during a snowy weekend and thought I was going to get a de icing video but we didn’t de ice. It was 26 degrees as well. Was kinda bummed lol.

I think deicing has to do with both temperature and dewpoint .
