Good to have you back! I recently bought a decant of Ormonde Jayne man after watching your review, and I was blown away by it. It’s right up my alley, so I’m buying a full bottle. Thanks!
Hello, Great scent indeed, thx for the great review, I do have this hidden gem , wishing you a wonderful happy Holidays and Happy New Year. Cheers 🙌🏼✨️🎄
Ok you nailed a lot of descriptions with one major misstep! It does not smell like poop or fecal animalic , whatever-like- at all! This does stay close to the skin. It's creamy honey and eventually smells of new suede. I prefer Rose Malaki but this is nice and because it's so close to the skin-can hold up just fine on warmer days. Another great Ropion creation!
Always love your fragrance reviews! This is a really good fragrance, and it is very easily attainable in the middle east (costs only $50 in Saudi Arabia). But I agree with you-it smells familiar, and especially so if you’ve lived in the middle east. Smells like any formal setting there. I’m oversimplifying it, but I found it smelled like an oriental version of D&G The One. But I believe your Man In Black comparison is closer. Given how cheap it was in Saudi Arabia, maybe I should’ve picked it up back then. I’ll probably wait till next time I visit there in a few months.
This one has been on my winter rotation for 2 years now, one of my favourites ! As for uniqueness, you are right, Costume Nationale, Boucheron’s Oud de Carthage (also made by Dominique Ropion)and Rasasi Sotoor Waw, all have the same DNA as this one. You should try Black Incense Malaki from the same line, it’s more unique. Nice to have your reviews back 🙏🏽.
Greate review brother! 😊 if you are looking for something special i think you should try its flanker named " Black incense malaki" and it's perfumer is Alberto morillas, it is a more darker version, with resins and almost no sweetness. Try it i think you love that one too👍🏼.
I first purchased Oud Malaki, and now very recently Costume Nacional EdP. Comparison and review are spot on. ✨

one of the all time best creations!
Welco.e back. Hope all is good. It's actually similar to Penhaligon's Halfeti. Thanks for the content. Be safe.
Welcome back friend. Was looking forward to a new fragrance review from you.

You also could get it in Switzerland for 35$

That's two votes for Black Incense Malaki already. I might have to try that :)

They are very similar indeed.
Oud Malaki doesn't contain any Oud though, it a spice, tobacco and leather scent.
This does also seem to be quite a bit cheaper at discounters than costume national homme
Can you compare it with Killer Oud Death by Oud by Lattafa?
my brother Is it a casual or classic perfume?
Got one last month... excellent
wear what you love not for others
👍
"Honest review" is a turn-off.
