    I am fully aware that CHOPARD is a SWISS watch manufacturer. I misspoke in this video, saying it was French. My apologies!

    I LOVE CHOPARD BLACK INCENSE MALAKI!!!! It is AMAZING!!! Oud, Leather and Incense. You just can't go wrong with this combination of scents. It's definitely in my top 5 fragrances. Oh, it's a BEAST that LAST soooooo long and gets ALL kinds of good compliments. Especially with the leather that jumps out. Anyway, I LOVE the videos you do my friend. Be well and I will see you in your next video.

    Black Incense Malaki is a real beast, Alberto Morillas' strongest perfume ever. I see it like a GG Absolute gone beyond, more aromatic with the Malaki's signature oud, stronger projection and longer lasting. Although you can't barely use it in public occasions, I enjoy it a lot. One of my favourites hands-down.

  • @storkonstage
    @storkonstage Год назад +2

    Fine review. This is indeed a Morillas composition. My bottle is 2,5 years old and keeps on developing. It's packed with the newest synthetic and some natural aroma chemicals from Firmenich. And Chopard is a Swiss company by the way. Just bought 2 bottles of Chopard Gardens of the Tropics Néroli à la cardamome du Guatemala. A almost exact dupe of TF Néroli Portofino. But it's classier and more elegant with a lot of naturals. And the blue bottle is stunning.

      Thanks!
      I realized my mistake too late - Chopard is in fact Swiss. Will have to alter the video at some point.
      I agree with you on the GOTTN - amazing bottle and scent.

    I received it as a birthday gift and firstly it was very strange smell for me. Now its one of my favourite accent. Will you suggest it using it in summer? I mean its phenomenal for date. I received a lot compliments from girls about it. I use versache eros(blue) in summer, but somehow want leather smell in summer to. so what do you think using it in summer

    what similar scents do you recommend?
    Love black incense malaki, need similar ones with oud-y/leathery notes like this one

    • @realscentreview

      Great question. This scent profile is my absolute favourite as of late. None of these is the exact same as Black Incense Malaki, but they are all in the same vein:
      Falkar by Bulgari - Stunning fragrance; one of the best I've ever smelled. Animalic leather, damp oud, sharp musk and dry spices. Just incredible. Extremely expensive, so I likely won't ever buy a bottle for review.
      Falcon Leather by Matiere Premiere - Incredible spicy, smoky leather that dries down with some amber. Smells tarry and leathery at first, but slightly tamer than Black Incense Malaki and the drydown to Falcon is definitely ambery, sweet suede.
      Cuoium by Orto Parisi - STRONG, birch tar smoky and woody opening that lasts throughout the entire lifespan. Smells a lot like Terroni, but then the animalic, oily leather appears and I also get a good dose of something like a slightly barnyardy, leathery/musky castoreum.
      Afrika Olifant by Nishane - Quite animalic - lots of civet and castoreum with some oud and resins as well. Animalic, powdery/musky leather with hints of barnyardy oud and woody resins. There is a slight camphorous touch throughout the lifespan too. This one isn't extremely similar to Black Incense, but if you like that I have a feeling you'd like this too.
      Gucci Guilty Absolute, of course.
      I'll be reviewing one of these in the near future, though I'm not quite sure which one yet (but it unfortunately won't be Falkar)

      @@realscentreview Thanks for the nice recommendations, will check them out.
      I was never into perfumes until I smelled Chopard - Black Incense Malaki - randomly, and Voi La - This was the perfume for me with which I entered into the rabbit hole of perfumes and wonderful scents.
      Couldn‘t find something as strong like black incense malaki yet, what I like sbout it is the how strong it smells straight from the very first moment. Absolute favorite, also my Nr 1 till date!
      Another question: Which scents are the strongest ones in your arsenal? Need strong scents, no scents come near in the strongness to black incense malaki, wanna have 2-3 more likewise in the strength.
      Falkar is really expensive 😅

      @@yns67868 If Black Incense Malaki is your first fragrance and you like it, then I think there is no fragrance out there that you would find too challenging. Lots of people find Black Incense Malaki too off putting and pungent. I think it's admirable that you're a beginner yet you enjoy that scent.
      I have a few that are stronger than Black Incense (but keep in mind, they don't smell similar):
      - Perris Monte Carlo Oud Imperiale EDP
      - Imperial Oud by Al Haramain
      - Dahn Oudh al Shams by Ajmal
      - Terroni by Orto Parisi
      - Red Tobacco by Mancera
      - Rien by Etat Libre D'Orange
      I have full length reviews of each one on my channel (Dahn Oudh al Shams is in my ''Real Oud'' video).

      @@realscentreview I found today in Switzlerand a fragrance that has similar notes like Black Incense Malaki by Chopard.
      And it is: Collection Extraordinaire - Orchid Leather by Van Cleef & Arpels
      Give it a try, has Heart-Notes of Leather & Incense - like Chopard
      With Top Notes of Plum & Cardamom. They unfortunately had only a tester, it was sold out..

    How close would you say this is to Bvlgari Man In Black Orient?
    It's discontinued and I have been looking for something similar.
    The original Man In Black is just too weak.

    • @realscentreview
      @realscentreview  Год назад +1

      Great question.
      They are close, but Black Orient is more rounded leather, floral, actually has a touch of incense and a dash of real Oud.
      Malaki is dirty, wet and spicy leather with very little incense and the smell is very pungent. Almost has a slight resemblance to Copenhagen chewing tobacco. Performance is insane though.
      Black Orient 10x better in terms of smell, in my opinion.
      Try SplashFragranceIndia. They are 100% reputable and do worldwide shipping. That's where I got my Black Orient

      @@realscentreviewHey my man, very late response but I was going through some old comments and decided to respond.
      First off, RUclips did not notify me of your response. Second, I bought Black Incense Malaki, but it was a bit too much for me. Theirs a tar like or gasoline like note combined with the others that I just couldn't get used to.
      I wound up selling on Reddit and bit the bullet and bought 3 bottles (2, 60mls and 1, 100ml) of Black Orient on Ebay. It's absolutely beautiful. Damn near perfect fragrance for the cooler months. I'll be bummed when ever I run out.

      @realscentreview  8 месяцев назад +1

      @@Tyronieus Yeah Black Incense Malaki is intense. "Industrial" might be an accurate descriptor. I definitely do find it similar to Black Orient, just less rounded and stronger.
      Black Orient for sure one of the finest non-private-line designer releases ever, in my opinion.
      Penhaligon's Halfeti Leather is similar too. Strong but not intense or "dirty" like Black Incense Malaki. Kind of like a slightly fruity, dark leather with some spices, smoke and a pinch of oud. Very nice stuff.

    • @Tyronieus
      @Tyronieus 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@realscentreview "Industrial" is a great way to describe Black Incense Malaki for sure.
      And yes, Halfeti Leather is pretty similar to Orient. I was very close to making it my Orient replacement, but it was a bit too sweet and fruity for me in the dry down. I believe the dominant fruit note is plum.
      But yeah man, I'm very happy with my 3 bottles of Orient. I may get Halfeti Leather also, but I don't like redundancy in my collection, so I'll revisit it with a large decant before making that decision.
