Now I have completed Devon! :)
This is section 2 which covers the north eastern half of the Devon TET.
Section 1 covers the rest of Devon TET, that is here-
• Trans Euro Trail - UK ...
I tried to flag any minor hazards to watch out for, and give information on the route that maybe useful, most experienced off road riders shouldn't find any issues here, but new riders, or riders on big bikes etc. that was what I was aiming for to give them plenty of heads up on tricky sections.
didn't know you could even do this. how cool!
its a great way to see Devon! :) (Or Europe, for that matter.)
So good i dont know where to start👏👏This and part1 is the best TET overview, ride, info footage on YT - I've ridden quite alot of this on both my AT and little crf, loved watching ut👌I know why you didn't recognise my footage - that's cus I went anticlockwise 🤣
Ahh yes everything looks totally different going the other way doesn’t it.
@@biscuitsalive it's a great bit of content you put together- thx for sharing that👍
@@TheBigBraap cheers. I started out doing vids on the Cornwall bit of TET. But I did that in very short sections. So probably too long winded, video wise.
But as I was new to riding off road it maybe useful for new riders at least I guess. :)
I haven’t struck the balance right yet I don’t think between making it useful by including lots of information, AND entertaining.
But it’s fun trying none the less.
Brilliant
This is gold! I am planning to do some of TET somewhere, maybe SW, maybe in the Lake District or maybe North Wales in mid August 2024. I will be riding solo so in order to avoid getting stuck I am researching as much as possible about tricky sections and hazards. Your content is exactly what I need. Is there a map resource which has colour coded labelled sections to indicate which parts are tarmac/gravel/mud/rocky? I'm thinking blue run, red run, black run like a skiing map.
Lastly, which GPX navigator do you use/recommend?
@@motomoto2296 hi. Glad it’s useful.
No maps with graded sections I’m
Afraid. At least none I know of.
Always best to walk ahead if it gets suddenly steep etc. just in case.
This may help regarding gpx app-

Super footage and gives a very good impression of this very nice route! Other question. I will participate the land's end trail next year. I need some advice because after finishing this trail i want to return to dover by riding TET routes and as you ride a lot of this route i hope you will help me. How can i contact you ? Kind regards, Martin (netherlands)
Hi. You can email me if you like.
There’s a contact email on my RUclips page.
(Or there should be, will check.)
But it’s snavekalb@hotmail.com
jump to 11:55 if you want to skip my advice and see the footage. :)
Have you any plans to do the Somerset section next?
Maybe. Just got a husqvarna 701 so that has plenty of legs for longer runs.
Have you done it? Is it good?
These videos are great! Do you use an iPhone or Android, and which app for the TET Gpx files?
Hi, glad they are useful.
I did a whole vid on that.
See that here-

@@biscuitsalive Thanks, I'll watch it and see how I get on. Do you ever do trail rides with other riders? I'm based near Falmouth.
@@leefrost6118 yep. Often. We have a small group on Facebook “Cornwall trails group”
Join that maybe and post when you want to ride.
@@biscuitsalive Fantastic, thanks for the heads-up.
did you inform the TRF in devon about the wrong way in Topsham? Please do and then they can re-route
I let them know on Facebook group a while back. But spoke to a couple people since and they said it’s been incorrect for years b
Brilliant video as ever, but the GPX I have for Topsham doesn't go anywhere near the estuary :)
Is that the latest GB TET gpx from the trans euro trail website?
I updated mine fairly recently as I got a new phone last month. So pretty sure mine is up to date. But will check it later.
@@biscuitsalive i thought it was. Still goes through Topsham but doesn’t enter the estuary as from memory the mud is hellish. I have it as a layer on Google maps.
@@ExeterCenturion I will download the TET gpx again later today and drag it into gpx studio.
Maybe they changed it very recently.
That actual line in my phone seems to skirt the land. Doesn’t look like it goes into the estuary.
But there are notes on the route and that is what it says. Tidal route.
So think I figured it out correctly. But didn’t know before I got there obviously. Was rather confusing.
@@biscuitsalive did you go down Bowling Green Road? The route I have goes along Bridge Hill > elm Grove Road > Station Road - High Street
@@ExeterCenturion I just downloaded the latest from TET.org and my version is the same (as on my phone)
It comes down bowling green road in topsham, then down river street. And there is a info point warning it’s a tidal ford and NOT to ride on footpath.
So I did go the correct way.
And the latest still goes up the one way street the wrong way too.
