    These videos have scared me away from ever trying a Kswap on my own. Mad respect for tackling a project like this.

      I went into it wanting to show every step so anyone could do it, didn't exactly go to plan.

    Called it. Always surprising when swaps fire up the first time.

    Hey, great video. You need a Milwaukee drill though. Get rid of the yellow crap you have.

    I found that if you dont shorten the throttle pedal fulcrum that goes to the throttle cable, the pedal is extremely stiff. This unfortunately means that you also likely have to replace the bracket on the throttle body that holds the cable as well because the cable adjusterwill be the wrong length.

      Thank you, I'll keep that in mind. I do remember on my previous one it felt a little too stiff.

    Nice work on the motor, what are you doing with the rest of the chassis though? Did you strip anything off the last one or are you basically starting over? Given the corrosion I'm hoping you're going to overhaul the brakes at least lol

      Sold the old one as a rolling chassis so starting over.
      The way it goes in my head is I'm going to get it running no matter how ugly it is. Once running and I enjoy how it drives (the last one was a loud vibrating mess) I will then go and clean it up, start refurbishing everything.

    What was the intake manifold and exhaust header you used? I’ll be attempting this swap soon and I’m putting together a parts list

      Exhaust header is PPE and manifold is the skunk racing one.

    Why was it necessary to change shell?

    • @IGDesigns
      @IGDesigns  9 месяцев назад +1

      It wasn't necessary, I just some issues with the old rolling chassis. A lot of scratches, dents. Panels didn't fit right because the PO took it apart a couple times. A lot of little things that drove me crazy.
